  1. As a player, it would be hard (to take seriously) a spray from a coach who looks so stoned
  2. It'll all come down to whether he can work in sync with Hogan. I don't think they've been in the forward line together much, if at all. Finger's crossed. I think he'll be good at set shots. Snap shots could land anywhere.
  3. Jake the Shake = Melksham Jake the Snake = Spencil Lever Hope this helps
  4. Howe also struggled to take a chest mark without face planting - odd combo
  5. Freo might've been more insistent on pick 47 if it was a 2 year contract too. A win all round.
  6. If the bummers can get Stringer off the extra curricular activities and devoted to playing footy then get Smith's knee to stand up to 20+ games, I think they are a big show to advance again this year - as much as that would make me gag. The also get more speed with Saad, not they really needed much. Could be the big winners if Stringer doesn't implode. On the negative (which is a ripper), Stringer has more off field headlines than games, Smith spends the year on the AlterG, with 0 games and Saad wins the kicking it OOF award for 2018. Happy days!
  7. If the Bullies couldn't get back into the first round with lower picks than ours then we'll struggle.
  8. Huh? I assume you're responding to someone else or didn't read the whole post.
  9. No way Jose, I'd even go -- before I'd touch \. Trust me on /
  10. His last final for Casey was something else. If he can replicate that, he'll play senior footy next season. Tidy up his disposal and he could play plenty.
  11. He he, not that old. Francis was well before my time - just slim pickings with the viewing when I grew up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  12. I like your thinking there Stone. It's perfect!
  13. He is a good poster, just cheesed off that we look like marshmallows at the trade table. I thought we paid overs too. I thought we paid overs for Melksham and Hibberd, but that hindsight thing - very happy now. I'm hoping it's the same with the Lever trade and that Adelaide pick up extremely homesick-prone players or mules.
  14. Is as comfortable with the 'team first' mentality as he would be in hessian undies
  15. Trade radio reporting Watts hasn't decided which team yet. Makes sense. Why would he want to go to that bog hole?
  16. They seem to have freed up some cap space (well $300K+ anyway)
  17. And that Hogan not happy with Watts being put up for trade. I feel sick. Let it be bullshyte
  18. It happens every year Dan, although I don't think you should quote me as saying 'moronic' etc if I didn't use it the word. I'm happy with the crickets - it's been 7 hours and no threads on Jarrad Grant (for example). Mission accomplished....and happy to light up your weekend
  19. In order to condense the threads on (ludicrous) trade suggestions and/or DFA nominations, how about we lob all the spuds in here? Let me get the ball rolling: I hear Brandon Jack has been delisted; or Peg Leg Zac Clarke might be worth a shot; Keegan Brookesby anyone; Maybe we could trade Wattsy for Rhys Stanley. Feel free to nominate your own random useless or past-it player and thank you for your efforts to streamline the board
  20. Fair enough. Don't know enough about him and was hoping Adelaide would fall all over him being a high draft pick, an SA boy and under contract. I did hear the talent was there just not the application.
  21. #rickynixontool just correcting the typo
  22. No, Howe himself said Melbourne offered more than Pies. Howe didn't leave for less money though. There was other stuff involved, including bluff and huff.
  23. Difficult to factor in Essendon's inability to trade and Adelaide acting childish but would this work? Adelaide - Lose Lever, Gain A Francis and Pick 27 Bummers - Lose Francis, Gain Pick 10 (for Stringer/Smith/Saad trades) Dees - Lose Pick 10 and 27, Gain Lever
  24. Don't think he was a Melbourne supporter growing up. Didn't a bunch of those 1st round draft picks from last year extend their contracts with GCS?
