  2. Jeez I'm glad we didn't get Jack Martin. What a fraud.
  3. ^ This, but I, unfortunately, live near Geelong, so either way will be insufferable
  4. Congrats to McDee and Bill! I like Lawrie's smarts and think/hope he can add something - I loved that tap forward in the first quarter before he got smashed by a Toig last week. One negative from his taste of AFL, was the number of frees he gave away. I don't think that'll happen this week - he'll adjust and apply pressure. Smart, talented player - just not sure where he fits yet. Judd McDee hasn't put a foot wrong and deserves his shot. I love his ball focus in the contest to stop his opponent getting it. Not frothing at the mouth just yet at the potential absence of May, but maybe tomorrow.
  5. Or Schache for a bit more cover in defense if needed
  6. Silver and bronze still up for grabs! Tim has kindly pointed out a clue in the first post 😬 Further clue: Sub: Jason Johannisen
  7. I hope so tox, but if he's not really kicking the footy yet... no so sure
  8. Congratulations to @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew for claiming first prize 🏆 🥳. PS it's also not private school attendees, olympic medallists or cricketers. There'll be a ridgy didge clue later if needed.
  9. In no particular order: Oliver Flower Farmer Lyon Petracca
  10. Unfortunately, they then play North, WCE, Adelaide and GCS. They could conceivably start the season 5 - 0 🤮. Hopefully, the sky will fall in with Adelaide, GCS or the Dogs and Lions after that.
  11. WCW, there was, in fact, a tiny clue there, but it was so small, I hadn't noticed. Good luck and it's not boxers or anything to do with music.
  12. Thanks TRAB! I'm honoured to be part of the club, but there are definitely no single or double-bluffing clues. I can even confess, the bench is nothing more than a typo - should be I/C not !/C. Go Dees
  13. You know the drill. If someone gets this quicker than the time it took me to put together, I just might lie about it. Funnily enough, these players have something in common. My apologies if this (theme) has been done before! PM the answers (this means you Lampers). The prizes are phenomenal.............. and fictitious! On ya bike and bring on season 2023: Mitch Hahn Stef Martin Jay Lockhart Chris Scott Henry Playfair Ted Richards Adrian Battiston. Jacob van Rooyan Ed Lower Tyson Stengle Tim Membrey Jayden Hunt Aaron Naughton. Brendon Favola Billy Brownless R: Michael Gardiner Cam Pedersen Cam O'Shea !/C Callam Sinclair Liam Jurrah Jarrod Berry Kayne Pettifer PS - There's no clue in any of the above, hence the name 'clueless quiz'
  14. IIRC, he had some role at or link to MFC (can someone enlighten on this?) but this ended when he was found to be leaking info about the club - MFC supporter and all! Top bloke!
  15. The AFL website has listed all the club's leadership groups including ins and outs. https://www.afl.com.au/news/880565/who-s-in-who-s-out-your-club-s-captains-leadership-group-for-2023 As per usual, only Gawn and Viney are listed for us. Last year in the Gus & Gawny Podcast, there was often reference to our leadership group, although the group was never listed. All I could glean was that Brayshaw and ANB were in it although I assume Lever would be there too. Anyone know what this year's is (or last year's for that matter)? It seems to be a very in-house thing.
  16. They've all got something to do with 'Stones favourite record, book or film collection.
  17. Definitely a Certificate of Achievement at the very least!
  18. To echo the thoughts/questions of others, can you please discuss the midfield function generally and more specifically how the less or non-regulars performed in the middle - Kossie, Harmes, Sparrow, ANB, Rivers Spargo, Brayshaw and whoever else was in there? I see a bit of a gulf between the regulars and the rest, although Kossie could be anything.
  19. Let the AFL make the game truly international and send them to Port Moresby.
  20. Barely got a touch and jogged around. I hope for his sake, Scott told him to take it easy.
  21. I actually thought they were both rubbish with one side flattered by kicking straight. Fair enough St Kilda are missing their forward line, but I didn't see much to write home about - the game looked like a race for the spoon. Parish was unforgivably pathetic. The bummers should trade him for someone who has a crack (practice match or not).
  22. He does some great things when he's got the pill. He just doesn't impact games a whole lot. There was a game at Casey last year where he picked up 30 touches in the middle. At the time I thought...yes, this is why we recruited him! His ball use was amazing and he seemed way above VFL level. I have only seen glimpses of that since. I dunno, he strikes me as bottom-heavy in physique if that's a thing.
  23. Thanks Viper, I don't listen to the AFL Daily podcasts or anything on the AFL site that starts with 'Listen" so this is much appreciated. It's hard enough to read an article by 'Damo' let alone listen to him. Cheers
  24. I think he did a great job considering he spent a significant chunk of preseason in rehab
