  1. Not that I'm bitter or anything, but if Jackson crumbled under the weight of expectation with his massive contract and living in the WA bubble, and played accordingly, that would be ok
  2. I also think that's why we were looking at Schache as a DFA
  3. I would hope it goes to mediation, where the AFL direct Freo to get their hand off it.
  4. Good grief. I never thought this would come out of my mouth, but I think I would actually prefer Schache. Just off to wash my mouth out FMD
  5. Why an extra round for this? Just stick it in one of the regular rounds and it can be another gimmick like heritage round.
  6. I think if Jackson gets any inkling he's going to WCE, he'll just nominate Freo and we'll be back to square one.
  7. I read (here somewhere) that he never did a medical with them.
  8. I think he's a great player if he can keep his mind on the job. But, that's a massive 'if'
  9. I could live with this (needs more balancing): Logue, Tucker to North Thomas to Melb Freo's first pick to Melb Jackson to Freo
  10. They strike me as a clear second behind Dodoro as being excruciating to deal with.
  11. My preference would have been to keep Hunt and offload Smith and or Melksham. I thought his game improved markedly in the last two years, particularly kicking despite the ungainly action. He was one of the few to lower the eyes on entering 50. I wish him the very best and will miss him and his afterburners.
  12. My guess would be a start or end of 3rd round
  13. Give it a bone, Nev
  14. We trained there so much as our main training ground is inadequate. It didn't allow sufficient separation between players/staff and onlookers during Covid. The second reason we trained there so much is the ground was being resurfaced/widened until the middle of the year. I'm comparing apples with apples but feel free to knock yourself out finding the money spent on all Vic teams second training facilities for comparison.
  15. Essendon was $27m but not sure of the breakdown other than $4m+ from the club. Bulldogs have $44.8m (Govt) for stage 2 redevelopment for W.O.
  16. Incorrect - $2m I didn't include funding for 2nd grounds of other clubs (Eg. Geelong at Deakin, Richmond at Bundoora or wherever it is) so why should I include Casey?
  17. For example: Kardinia Park Upgrade Stage 5 - $142m Richmond Demolition of Punt Road & Rebuild $65m ($30m from Govt) North $10m - 2018 and $7m $2020 Saints $30m Carlton $30m for Ikon Park Redevelopment (Mix of state and federal funding) Hawthorn $20m - ($15m from feds, $5m from council plus an unspecified amount from state govt) Melbourne.......wait for it......... $2m
  18. I'll see your Gold Coast and raise you with one Collingwood Football Club, who enjoy a culture built around over-paying heart and soul players of the club, then dumping them to enable the retention of such role models as JDG. Spectacular salary cap management right there.
  19. I'm not surprised about Essendon - they're getting Alwyn Davey Jr this year.
  20. I think the money they're freeing up is to accommodate Jackson, but I would be more than happy to accept 7 from Freo as part of the trade (without the future first going back).
  21. Maybe we could compile a list of stuff made up by Cornes: 1) Kossie wants to go to Port
