Hey guys i quite like the idea of Sylvia as a permanent full forward... can take a great grab, finish well... is strong at the contest... him and Clarke down there would actually worry the opposition... with Viney next year and the addition of Magner i don't think we need him in the midfield anymore...although we would miss his outside running and long kicks

yeh was a big regeneration.. was funny watching the game seeing grgic and johnstone dominate... ahhhhh the memories.... suprised Smith's last season was 98 given how well he played in that pies game.. i guess injury just got to him like it cut down so many of our other players harshly eg lyon, tingay, schwarz.. we would probably have the worst record of losing champion players to chronic injuries/unlucky ones eg Schwarz.. or am i just saying that because i am a dees fan and remember them more specifically>?

Hey guys i was watching the 1998 Game vs Pies on Foxtel the other week and realised how many players we must of lost from then to 2000 when the new generation in Green/Bruce came in.. it would have to be one of the biggest exits in any clubs history and so many of them were high quality... Tingay, Glenn Lovett, Lyon come to mind.. but there were at least 6 more... can anyone name them all... ? was a great effort in 2000 considering the experience we lost

I really like the INS Of Maric and Tapscott... feel Maric get's a raw deal.. plays a bad game then gets dropped straight away when he shows some very smart goal sense/crumbing and is a deadly finisher.... but Cale Morton can play game after game of average lethargic footy and keep his spot... surely he must be trade bait... i know some will say Goddard was like this in his early years.. but Morton has been around for a while now... and i don't see any signs of improvement... if grimes/davey were fit he'd be my next out.. i'd actually rather have Lynden Dunn in for him at the moment as at least Dunn can go forward and snag 3-4 goals and plays with some kind of urgency

is it true we definately get compensation if he leaves.. and if so how much????

hey guys.. not really up to date with this issue.. but when will we actually know the decision of our clash jumper.. and is it true it has to include white shorts.. as i personally love some of the all red shorts/jumper designs and also a white jumper with blue shorts looked great as well.. really dislike the white shorts with lots of white in the jumper.. simply isn't melbourne...

Absolutely love Bail and think next year with a pre season and continued games he will become close to a top 10 B & F for us.... shud not be dropped... i think we have Bennell and Jurrah as our goalsneaks... against Hawks i just feel we can go without Wona and bring Moloney in....

on another topic.. can someone please tell me if we are wearing our home strip sunday.. would be disgusted if they chucked is in that white thing for a "home game"

pretty good ins tho... 3 bigger bodies to throw in.. mckenzies tackling has been missed..... bit harsh on Bennell but you have to be consistent i guess.. wish he was given a chance to show the pies players his improved efforts since round 2 when he backed out of a contest

i think this is a team of the 90's when Brent was going to the footy.. not so much the 80's....

no but rivers i often see him up near the wing and his decision making/awareness is very suspect.. with warnock/frawley/Garland down back i don't think Rivers fits.. play Bail as the floating back/winger... so yes they could fill a similar role sometimes but i see Bail as a more up the ground type pumping the ball into the 50m forward line

hey guys i am a bit out of the loop is he still injured from weeks ago.. his run/carry and great disposal was so impressive surely a better option than rivers with frawley back....

Hey guys i read the article in sundays herald sun about Austin and realised how many potential guns we have out: Woneamirri, Jurrah, Watts, Tapscott, Rivers, Morton.... all 6 would have claims to being in our best 22 (Watts and Tapscott a lot based on potential) question is.. who out of Sundays win would be candidates to go out.. i can only really think of Bartram really it would be hard dropping bennell, scully or trengove as every game they should improve.. might be good to give them a rest halfway through the year so they dont hit the roookie wall... it's a great problem to have if we get near full strength soon:) HOW FAR AWAY IS RIVERS?? would be great to plug in the fevola/brown hole this week wouldnt he

peake was one of the damaging players a few years ago when the dockers were right up there... why couldnt he repeat this form at a top side??? worth the punt for sure.... i remember him kicking some great running goals in the derbies where they beat the eagles

yer the way he threads the ball through tight spaces is very much like simon black isnt it!! very impressive... will be happy with either trengove or martin at 2 really... we could do with an absolutely sublime ball user in the middle...

how did he miss selection tho?? he was touted as all australian possible last year i think when he broke out into a very good player with great disposal... did he get injured round 22 or something?

lol port wouldnt even take pick 11 and jamar for boak... is boak even wanting to go home or is his name constantly chucked up because he is a melbourne boy... fair to say he's basically their best player nearly and one who actaully still performs when they lose... have to move heaven and earth to get him... pick 2 would probably have to be involved.. and i don't want us doing that...

i actually rate fisher.. very smart player but seems to have fallen out of favour at the blues since his injury.. maybe his form has gone backwards since the injury who knows... but yeh probably not big enough to hold down the big forward spot..

Yeh i seriously think Adelaide will take Panos at pick 11.. as it seems their young forward Tippet will be leaving to Gold Coast.. they need another sidekick for taylor walker.. they already have a fairly young steady midfield group going now in vince, dangerfield etc... but yer i think we have to go the scully/trengrove 1-2.. then take best tall at 18...
