  1. Photo from Alice Springs - Looks pretty big up top - don't forget who he is standing next to. Legs don't look overly small. No doubt they pay close attention to his size and weight - I imagine they don't want to be putting any unnecessary weight on his feet (also don't want him to turn into a tapscott)
  2. Lets hope Jones doesn't decide to go surfing along the reef over his break.
  3. I like the ins and outs however problem is you have left Gawn (who doesn't have a big tank) to ruck against Nicnat and probably Sinclair (both 2.00m) in the heat. Dawes (1.93m) might be able to 2nd ruck for like 10% however we would get smashed then + wouldn't want to risk knee. Hogan - wouldn't risk him in the ruck with back/hammy
  4. You can have a fantastic 22 and [censored] all depth - as soon as a few injuries come along (and they will) your team isn't looking so good anymore. All those people listed there are taking up spots that otherwise could be filled by players like Brayshaw
  5. Think it worked well on the weekend - not sure what the %'s were for time in the ruck. Gawn is probably the better forward but had more hitouts last week (44 vs 25). Tough one - Gawns height would be good against nicnats jump however Spencer could be a liability forward. Would say 50% each depending on which one of the above Roos values more. They could just change like 2 or 3 times a quarter and try and confuse their defense.
  6. If we wanted to keep a similar structure it would probably be easier to bring in JKH. In: Hogan, JKH Out: Dawes, Bail or Riley
  7. Well said - I love Dawes aggression however Hogan provides more. Would probably want two rucks against WCE - we have gone too tall before and it has badly hurt our run and spread. Not going to be as easy in the ruck this week - both Nat and Sinclair are 2.00m tall so Gawn and Spencer will need to jump (esp against Nat). Mids wont be getting as many taps to adv.
  8. Surely you cant drop mJones! Hogan in. Garland is harder. I would rather JKH than Bail or Riley however not sure what there roles were so cant really say. Wouldn't be many changes - have to reward the effort and show faith
  9. Finally some good news: Hogan, Garland set for return JKH available Grimes: Jack Grimes has had some positive news with his thumb and he may be looking to return earlier than expected, Mahoney said. Hogan, Garland set for Darwin return

  11. Given he has been out so long you would think he would want to get several games under his belt first. Can have a few games at VFL and return for a packed crowd at our Queens birthday match.
  12. Would be awesome if he returned and with some speed. A smart footballer who can play inside and out - Bradshaw reminds me a lot of a young Trengove. Would love to see all those people who said he was done eat humble pie. Anyone have a recent progress report on him? Mission has basically been saying "still the same" for 6 months. Is he running? If not what kind of fitness base would he have through swimming or bike etc? I believe they said he would be ready to go for preseason - still even if he does a full preseason we may not know what he is fully capable of until 2017. Really want him to make it - same Toump. Happy that Petracca has someone of Trengoves calibre alongside him. According to one article its about 5-6 weeks before he begins running.
  13. Do we want him because we think he will be a gun or because he is the brother of our captain. I believe we have the grunt and loads of B graders but we need a star - a line breaker/play maker (Dangerfield/Selwood etc). Also need a Key position forward to go with Hogan (a forward/ruck would be nice - King? maybe)
  14. That injury list is a week old so hopfully: Hogan - ready Garland - ready Fitzy - ready Vanders - 2-3 (ready for Bombers?) Salem - 2-3 (ready to destroy bombers again?) Kent/Frost - can't really expect anything from them for the season which sucks!
  15. I like it! Bombers: Lions: a game we should win! Saints: so soon? its pay back time! Magpies: So soon? its payback time! Bulldogs: mmm good chance Blues: Giants: mmm hopefully the cracks will be deep by then Would be pretty disappointed if we couldn't manage another 4 wins. (provided our injury list doesn't get worse) That takes us to 8 wins - if someone offered that to me at the start of the year I would have taking it in a heart beat. Wins: Bombers 15pts Lions 40pts Saints 20pts Blues 40pts Maybe: Pies, Dogs and Giants
  16. Bloody felt like it though
  17. Agreed - I actually think Trenners was more one motion and he couldn't see that Danger had dropped the ball. I love aggression but there is aggression and playing to hurt (if someone does get hurt then your in trouble)
  18. With AFL constantly evolving (or changing...) I don' think you can really compare the two penalties (4 years apart).
  19. Ahh the devil is in the detail
  20. Its amazing how often this happens with Jones - will usually get it in a tough position and seems to just throw it on the boot. Kicked 7.2 this year
  21. Would take a win at the cattery over a win against Essendope - and that's saying something
  22. Could have something to do with: "the great white hope" Hogan The rising star Brayshaw Think most of the media and fans attention are focused on those two. He signed a contract but I wasn't 100% sure he was confident with that decision (don't blame him) - I think he now knows where he belongs.
  23. Viney doesn't need legs... they need him
  24. .....mmm I'm sure Goodwin wouldn't mind if I stick around a little longer
