Pre-season IntensityÂ
Virgin and Jetstar. Jetstar are not without their own problems at times too but I’ve found on the flight heading to my destination I book the earliest flight, I’ve never had issues doing this and if something does come up I’ve got options. Coming back doesn’t bother me….

Pre-season IntensityÂ
And so it should be, with the list in better shape than 2021. Possibly the best Melbourne team we will see in our lifetime. Hawks 3 in a row, Cats 3 in 5 years, Tigers 3 out of 4. We need more premierships to truly be considered a champion team.

Best 22 for Round 1
This constantly gets brought up, almost makes him sound like the second coming of Pendlebury. He averaged 7.5 kicks a game and managed only the 10 goals season when we went 16 & 6 before finals, a season where we won 10 in a row. He’s consistent and reliable but he’s also limited, I put James Jordan in the same category. I like them both, they give 100% every week but we need to try something different. I would like to clarify i rate them as players to a point, but ultimately they’re role players, and yes we have a role based system but we need to try other players in some positions to see if they can offer something extra.

Best 44 for Brisbane
Marcus Adams ruled out for potentially the season.

Best 22 for Round 1
If that happens that would be massive. I know Melksham came in due to injuries but he took his chances, played some great footy and gave us something different. Will be interesting to see how the team looks come rd 1.

Best 22 for Round 1
The off season additions of Grundy and Hunter undoubtedly make us a better side, we are stronger than when we won the flag in 2021. Most on here agree with how the majority of the side will line up, the fwd line is where the majority of us disagree. If you had Fritsch and Pickett as the only locks, you could have any other other combination of fwds (not counting Petracca or Gawn/Grundy resting fwd) and easily account for 12-13 other sides due to our strength in all all other areas across the ground. Inside 50’s have never been an issue for us, being predictable and our delivery hurt us last year. In addition we have too many fwds that don’t impact the scoreboard. People are quick to point out act pressure acts, two way running but we need our fwds also hitting the scoreboard. Im not sold on Jordan personally, Spargo out for Chandler and BB out for JVR. Hibberd late start? Rivers May Lever Salem Petty Bowey Langdon Oliver Hunter Chandler TMac ANB Fritsch JVR Pickett Grundy Petracca Oliver Gawn Brayshaw Sparrow Harmes Melksham

The 2023 AFL Fixture
Bont, Macrae, English, Naughton, Treloar. Losing Dunkley hurts but they’re added Lobb (different position obviously). I don’t like them and yes I think they play for frees but they have talent and play for their coach. I think they can finish 7-10 but have them probably 8th again.

Bulldogs still have some quality players, I have them making the 8.

Not AFL
I love how well the salary cap works in soccer.

Not AFL
Just because something is the biggest or has the most supporters/followers doesn’t make it the best. Life has given us some classic examples of that.

Not AFL
I live in Sydney and have spoken to die hard rugby league fans who are starting to admit how boring league is, but they were brought up watching it and it’s all they know. But now betting is bigger than ever they’ve starting to place a few bets on the AFL and the natural progression was to start watching a few games where they had a financial interest and they’ve enjoyed it a lot more than league.
-
Not AFL
What reason is that? I’d say purely because that’s what they’ve been brought up watching / playing. Not because it’s the most exciting or entertaining game to watch, AFL holds that title.

Best 44 for Sydney
[censored] that first final frustrated me, we were so slow to react. They are a good side but I’m confident we’ve got them covered next season.

Best 44 for Sydney
Keep playing Franklin ahead of Amartey and McDonald. Hopefully they both walk.

Extra "MAGIC" Round in 2023?
These same clowns think 19 teams are sustainable.

The 2023 AFL Fixture
Going off that Geelong has the hardest draw playing Pies, Swans, Freo and Dogs twice.

The 2023 AFL Fixture
With regards to the Anzac Eve game, is that ticketed differently due to the nature of the game? I’ve never been and am looking to go next year. Thanks

The 2023 AFL Fixture
Barring serious injury to numerous players we simply must win it in 2023. We’ve tasted success, you could argue last year we had some injuries, bad luck and some unsettling influences, but we’re now back at arguably full strength with the addition of Grundy and Hunter. We may never see this much talent in their prime again on our list. Our coaching team also didn’t get raided as we had thought, what have we learnt from last season?

The 2023 AFL Fixture
I’m interested to see how the Swans manage Buddy next season, hopefully it’s to the detriment of the club and any top 4 aspirations they might have. I think Brisbane will replace the Swans in the top 4.

Best 44 for Melbourne
I’m really interested to see how the Lions go with Dunkley and Gunston (I wished we had got him). Prior to the Lions beating us in the semi final we destroyed them in Rd .15 117 v 53 Rd. 23 115 v 57 How much of our semi final loss was them and how much was us. They have a tough draw so will be interesting to see the final make up of the 8 next season.
