I’m against a 19th club, if the AFL wasn’t a team in Tassie I’d rather another team fold.
-
I get the whole brotherhood of coaching. A sacked coach is quickly offered an assistant job at another club. But if we were to lose Yze I’d prefer to go after someone like Scott Pendlebury. Having said that I’ve got no idea if he’s interested in coaching.

I’m in two minds. I’m happy for North and it sticks it up the Bombers. But to be honest I wanted North to fold and a 18th team in Tasmania. This competition can’t and shouldn’t be forced to try and sustain a 19th or 20th team. This now keeps the Wolves from the door.

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Exactly, a loss will be considered a choke of the highest order. We are the reigning premier coming up against a team we’ve had little trouble disposing off in the past. Top 2 is still achievable. -
Hopefully back to back statements against the Lions.

As for North Melbourne’s talent. Would anyone know Will Phillips if they sat next to him in a restaurant. Wasted pick.

Multi-Call of Kozzy's Match Winner!

Things that come to mind. Hunts explosivenesses. Kosi not flying for the mark and remaking front and centre. BBB could of marked it. Presence of mind from Melksham to hold it in until he saw Demon colours. The one hand pick up from Kosi. -
Anyone else just see the article about the Swans, Pies, Lions and Saints fined for Covid 19 breaches. Breaches include : - not undertaking a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within the period prescribed by the Protocols, and/or - not uploading an image (photograph) of a prescribed RAT within the period prescribed by the Protocols; and/or - Uploading an image taken of a previous RAT undertaken by that or another person.

Ah Chee is set to miss another week due to the concussion he received, but my main concern is that the Blues / Pies game is a sellout. AFL got what they wanted. -
How bad are things going if they couldn’t keep it in house until getting confirmation from Clarko. Its a circus.
-
Neil Mitchell on 3AW reported he was sacked. Tom Browne now reporting he’s safe for now.
-
Just saw it on Instagram. 3AW running with the story.
-
Just sacked.

Trade JHF for Port’s pick 8 and another first rounder. Then this years draft picks. Having said that, not sure how Port would obtain another 1st round pick and how much would Eagles have to lose by to drop below North on the ladder?
-
If North don’t land him what’s left for the club?
-
The Dogs, Pies and Carlton being prime examples. Gawn was interviewed after the game Saturday night and said something along the lines off “playing the Bulldogs and every game since has felt like a final”.
-
Only 2 each way games next week. Dees v Lions Blues v Pies With the exception of the Saints all the other lower placed teams risk moving down the draft order should they win.
-
Pride, as silly as it sounds. I don’t think they’ll win but their ladder position won’t change regardless of the result. Hopefully Ratten has them fired up to go out with a fight.
-
Yes, I thought Swans would be further in front in terms of %.
-
I think we must win for top 4. Cant see Freo or Swans losing.
-
We played better against the Pies even though we lost. We had 24 more inside fifty’s, had we kicked straight it could/should of been a different result. When we played Geelong Max and LJ were returning from injury. Max was clearly hindered, we were right in it up until about 10 minutes in the last. The couple of late goals flattered them. Yes we need to look at tweaking a couple of things but I don’t think there is a need for mass changes. 3 weeks ago our biggest concern was pressure, our turnovers killed us last night. We need to take the game on more and be prepared to mix things up. Carlton at times last night kicked to space on the fat side rather than down the line and backed their players in to win. With players like Hunt we should play to their strengths.

Agreed but if someone is confident we’re only making up the numbers why put yourself through it? It seems some will with the sole purpose of coming on here and telling us they were right.

Hardly laying the boots in. Some doubts? A couple of posters seem fairly confident we’re making up the numbers. I agree with the rest of your post.
