When Viney kicked it straight over ANB’S head I was head in hand.

When Fritsch was having his shot on goal at the end of the 2nd qtr I think, did anyone see who started the scuffle? It was like Carlton were wanting a free for, taking away Fritsch’s shot. Then when Melksham marked with two minutes to go he put his arm up to the Carlton defender to mark his spot then the Carlton player dropped to the ground like he’d been cleaned up by Cripps. Silvagni with 90 seconds left takes two steps, is tackled by Melksham and drops the ball cold. Play on…..Flashbacks to when Elliot scores himself 2 frees last week.

For all of the posters with comments like “We won tonight but aren’t going deep” ”We stole that but can’t win it”. Feel free to not watch next Friday night or for the finals.

Carlton kicked to the fat side on a few occasions and just back their players in to win it.

Minor premiership for Cats = fools gold. Soft draw.

If they land Clarko the wheel will turn 180 from day 1.

You do, but where was this at the start of the season. Too little to late.

North can’t be this stupid.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton

There is according to my doctor…. -
North hit the lead, surely pick 1 is worth more to a new coach than showing a big late.

Was thinking as much, not that this justifies the results but was probably the Dogs best game of the season and the Pies of their 11 game streak.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I’m tipping an annihilation tonight. Last year wasn’t a fluke, all things considered we’ve been playing some good footy the last 4-5 weeks even though we’ve had the three losses. We know what’s at stake, whilst the 4 points is the priority we will be fully aware of how much % will decide the top 4. -
Let’s be honest. Saints are a mess, Lions winning plays into our hands as they’ll be pleased with themselves. The Lions style of play suits our defenders.
-
Watch the carry on from the Lions after the game. The amount of towel flicking levels in the lions change rooms will be unprecedented.

? Rd 19 conceded 93 against the Suns Rd 20 conceded 104 ago the Tigers Rd 21 They put Carlton away early before letting them back in.

The lions aren’t much better.

Patrick Cripps FREE to play
Bombay Airconditioning replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Johnathan Brown performed an all time grub manoeuvre by grabbing someone in a headlock from behind, swinging them to the ground before landing on top of them. Was charged with rough play but go off because the quarter had actually finished so technically play had stopped. It’s been going on for a while now. -
Patrick Cripps FREE to play

If his eyes were solely on the ball how did he manage to turn his body just in time. We only have to look at some of Nick Riewoldt’s to understand what eyes on the ball really means. -

I don’t recall the Ryder incident, what year was this? Thanks -
Saints rolled the Lions late last year in Brisbane by 32 points. Then earlier this year the Lions led by 3 points at 3/4 time before going on to win by 23 points.

Putting aside the “one week at a time”….. Obviously we need to win out last two games to finish 2nd. In addition we need the Swans to beat Collingwood this Sunday, the other factor is percentage. Sydney play Collingwood and the Saints, Saints are still a chance to play finals although it seems unlikely. I think we can beat Brisbane next week but it may not be as easy as it was after the bye. This Saturday night is our chance to put some space between our percentage and that of Sydney’s. Leigh Mathew’s said during the week he didn’t like discussing percentage with his players as he thought it detracted from the task at hand, I thought players were better than that. Break it down in it’s simplest form, aim to win each quarter by 4 goals. Cripps or no Cripps we have them covered. Time to start handing out some lessons again. Dees by 70 +

Forward 50 connection? It's the gameplan
Bombay Airconditioning replied to deelusions from afar's topic in Melbourne Demons
At times our entries have improved. Lloyd and Barrett point out a couple of examples today of where we took the wrong option and it cost us. Adding to that easy set shots being missed and small fwds flying for marks when a teammate is already contesting leaving no one at ground level. My question is why does it take a pre season to tweak our game plan? Professional and highly skilled footballers that have been learning different game plans and tactics since under under 8’s.
