Tmac falls under the "shizen to average" and is getting better. But his primary role as a defender is to take intercept marks which he does and spoil the ball which he does. If we were organised better and had Salem(he was injured for part of the year) and someone else with similar skill he would simply take the mark and handball off to one of our back flankers. I've said before key position defenders and ruck men aren't are probably the only exception to the "elite disposal when recruiting" rule.

I posted in the contracts thread yesterday about what I call the "Trengove factor". Similar to last year players who think they're safe will/should be shopped around. If a suitor is found they tell the player that a club a potential deal looms and they have 24 hours to decided. If no suitor is found the player is unaware his name had been thrown up. Carrying passengers is bad enough but disgruntled passengers is another thing. By the end of trade 2016 all the garbage should be removed from our list.

When someone is drafted, ideally they already have elite disposal. Those that have good disposal work with the skills coaches to try to improve to elite disposal. We already have enough players on the list that we read things like "his disposal has improved this year" which translates to "it gone from shizen to ok at times". Again I must be watching different games to most.

To elaborate (beyond a joke might be a bit harsh but let's remember he is playing AFL) his kicking is like The Princes, an up and under style with the ball often going over teammates heads or falling short or out of bounds. I found myself laughing out loud in disbelief watching him.

Living in Sydney I've watched a lot of GWS games. Natural competitor - Yes he takes the game on and as someone eluded to he has dash and dare. Footy smarts - He finds himself in the right places at times, when he has the ball he has the right intentions but see below.... Disposal - His disposal is diabolical, it's that bad it's beyond a joke. It's a no.

Currently not even standing up at Casey throughout the year.

Its also deja vu as to why he hasn't come good. But funnily enough he only had one year under Neeld(and wasn't he injured for most of that?? can't remember....)We are now seeing young players coming in and impacting games. Yes some take longer to develop but let's not forget he was a gun at junior level and to date has given us nothing to work with. Send him home.

Bit of a disappointment.

Who's better Bennell or Watts?? Reading the Bennell thread there are comments like "Suns don't want him so he'll come cheap". And that's different from Watts how? No one I know that supports other clubs rates him or wants him at their club. Very interested to see what's he's worth on the open market.

Hawks can drop Chip and bring back Spangher.

I still think the Hawks are a chance. I know many won't agree, but they can do it. Credit to West Coast they played well, the Hawks were off. How much of a factor did the Eagles game play in the Hawks being off. Time will tell. Let's not forget Hawthorn tearing apart Freo and Sydney earlier in the year plus away wins against West Coast and Adelaide.

It wasn't a kick it was a push off with the foot. Probably wasn't a good look but as we know it's finals. The rules and flexible this time off year.

If he's on the table this year we can't be fussy because whatever is offered it will be less next year.

By professionals do you mean the coaching panel that dropped him for the last game?With regards to the B&F players may not rack up high numbers but "play their role".

I think North will beat Sydney. Their defence has struggled with the big forwards this year. Whilst Petrie/Brown/Waite aren't in the same touch as Kennedy I think if they get the ball in their enough they will do the job.

You make a good point about their list but they were able to beat the Hawks, Freo(away) and Sydney(away and with a full list).Having said that I don't rate some of their players, they continue to go missing. Interesting to see what they do during trade week. The club should do what we did to Grimes and remove the captaincy from him.

Bring back Spangher.
