Delistings/trades at end of the season

If we could trade in a mid or two and keep our first pick, we may use it on a tall. I know what people have said regarding Roos not keen on drafting talls, but maybe it might be Goowins call, maybe they have identified someone in the draft. Time will tell. -

Hes had upside since he was drafted, still waiting to see him realise it. -

For mine the sad part is out of the six gone plus 9 I've mentioned, Cross was the best of the lot. That says a lot about why we are where we are. We've clung on for too long blaming everyone but the players themselves. -

2015 Player Review - 14 Lynden Dunn
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
His first year under Roos was possibly the best of his career. This year didn't quite mirror that though he was solid enough. He's 27 with two years to run on his contract, that should see him out nicely. Happy for Grimes/Howe/Garland to be moved on but we must keep him while Frost and Oscar learn the ropes. -

Bring on trade week and let's end this one way or another. -
I thought the Trengove to Richmond caught everyone off guard including Jack himself.

2015 Player Review - # 4 Jack Watts
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
On his skills set and footy smarts he is top 3 on our list.My friend who coaches under 16's TAC attends (or used to) AFL coaching clinics. Guest speakers have included names such as Clarkson, Longmire, Parkin, Pagan and Jumbo's favourites the Scott brothers. They were asked about what they look for when they are/were recruiting, their answers were pretty similar - natural competitors - elite disposal - footy smarts And they were in that order. They acknowledged that classier outside players were still required to win their own ball on occasions and lay a tackle/smother/shepherd. No doubt there will be an example of someone that doesn't fit that bill but that's what they were saying. They deemed footy smarts as being easiest to teach to a player. Where to run, where to set up, how to position your body etc.... You cannot teach someone to be a competitor, it's in them if it's not. The one i really disagreed with was it took some stupid amount of hours(I think he said a couple of hindered??) to change someone's kicking technique. But he was probably right, Franklin runs on a arc, Kennedy does the stutter step, both unorthodox but work. Cloke is still a mess. Set shots obviously different from in transition. -

I read between the lines with comments like those. He's up for trade, what else would he say. As for "you don't need every player to be combative", that may work until you reach the finals. But then again Nathan Ablett is a premiership player. With regards to where our list is we can't afford any passengers.
