Getting a contract doesn't guarantee getting a game, if everyone is available he's not best 22. I think he try his luck elsewhere.

I would argue pre "Roos" every interstate game we had a number of players who ran out knowing we would lose. Im not saying they didn't try but they knew they were never in it.

Apologies I didn't read your post before I posted. For me the question is how much money does Dawes and Grimes free up? Plus the Prince and Dunn going the year after. Stuff Hibberd go after Hurley and if with lose McDonald in the process so be it, yes ideally we could have both but Tom may price himself out. Would be nice to know what Hogans doing, yes it's his right to hold off but if he's staying at least we could have a bit more forward thinking with regards to future list planing.

Was thinking at the start of the year that after 3 years of moving on 10-12 players each trade/draft period we would be quiet this year, now I'm starting to think it will be quite the opposite.
