  2. Tired of hearing this. Time for other clubs to harden up.
  3. I've got no problem with teams earning the right to play on Friday night as long as its consistent. Consistent being Richmond miss out next year and Collingwood are rained in. Probably thinking too much about this but what if you had finish say top 10 to get a Friday night game. Wouldn't be a popular idea but on the whole there was a lot of junk games this year.
  4. Did you watch his whole game?
  5. Richmond to get no Friday night games for underperforming. Will it happen....probably not.
  6. Hawks out in the 2nd week of finals. Hopefully.....
  7. Lions making it hard for themselves. Could argue a winning culture is more important but that would require players to turn up for 22 weeks a year.
  8. Haven't read the whole thread so may have been mentioned earlier. Fitzy gets a game for the Hawks today.
  9. Post season discussion thread.... Who is our kicking coach. Dont want Travis Cloke mark 2.
  10. This may of been brought up before.... For those who attend training do we have a kicking coach? How much time is spent purely on set shots on goal? Who can we get to fill this role as kicking coach? I've read comments with regards to Hogan and Petracca that it should be easy to fix up in one pre season. If it's that easy why did it get to where it is now? There are plenty of examples of players from other clubs that have continued to struggle with set shots for years.
  11. Purely just my opinion. Reckon he could be got at the right price. I seriously ask where is our money going? Majority of our talent is under 23/24. Surely there's room to front end a deal for someone. He's 26, offer 3 year deal. We are running out of mature targets.
  12. Sucked in to everyone at North. Wont be getting two cheap finals like last year.
  13. Even if the Saints made it they would face a Adelaide at home. A tough assignment at the best of times.
  14. Yes Geelong you can have a home final....
  15. I noticed Sportsbet went early during the week offering odds for the first weeks off the finals, they didn't factor in West Coast beating the Crows last night. The way it's going is Swans v Giants Cats v Hawks Crows v North Eagles v Dogs
  16. What's the difference between Harry Potter and Collingwood. Harry Potter didn't pay 800k for an invisible cloke.
  17. Go on.... Today's result cannot simply be put down to inexperience or youth. Inexperience and youth weren't to blame for wins against Hawthorn and Port. Though it could be used when we lost close games against Adelaide and West Coast. Sydney could have up to six players make the AA team this year, they also have a number of players which you could argue look the goods when playing for Sydney but may struggle at a weaker club. If they had 1-2 young/inexperienced players in their side you could argue it's their senior players making them look good but today and for the majority of the year they have played 6-7, a third of their team. Difference is they collectively bring effort more often than not. 3 weeks ago we defeated a Hawthorn side that came to play 29 points. What makes that win even more impressive is we did it without any of Sydney's gun players playing for us. We simply brought effort. Effort doesn't always guarantee a win but it does guarantee we will at least be competive. We need to cut the crap of identifying certain games that are deemed worthy of getting up for because following that comes the inevitable flat period afterwards. We need a culture where we come to play every week. Yes we have to allow that every player has an off week but if everyone else comes to play we can still be competitive if 1 - 2 players are flat. We are the opposite, either everyone comes to play or only 3 players do.
  18. Where's Rampe? Or don't you know who he is?
  19. Because we are playing so many inexperienced players today's loss was to be expected. Mills Heeney Hewett Aliir Papley Marsh Naismith X Richards
  20. No way would he have played today, far too busy sorting through offers from rival clubs.
  21. So do the players actually look Roo's in the eye when they shake his hand for the last time? In so many ways we've improved as a side and in so many others we are still dumb and don't get the need to come to play every week. Don't play the youth card, if we're not switched on from the opening bounce it's all over.
