Jayden Hunt and Clayton Oliver named in Under 22 Team
Dee Zephyr replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Throw in Jack Martin too, he wasn't better than Trac this season. -
Lol, you should go check out the Crows forum on Bigfooty. You'll get some laughs on the Lever thread.

Jack Trengove, Jake Spencer, Mitch White and Liam Hulett de-listed
Dee Zephyr replied to Wilson7's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unfortunately that's the world of AFL. Sad for Trengove, gave his all for the MFC and all the best to him in the future. -
Goodwin on RSN this morning stated Gus had scans on his neck and all is clear. Good news. Also, interesting to hear Goodwin say Gus will end up as an inside mid for us when the question was put forward to him.

Article of Koch's expectation of players
Dee Zephyr replied to darkhorse72's topic in Melbourne Demons
When the Chicago Blackhawks got swept in the first play-off series of the NHL last season the general manager of the organisation came out two days later and labelled the loss as unacceptable. He put the onus on the coaching group and players. A month later, young star players along with seasoned veterans were traded to other teams. Assistant coaches were also told to look elsewhere. I would like to see more of this in the AFL, our boss should have come out and expressed his disappointment at our finish and labelled it as unacceptable. There is no "good effort" in American sports and I love it. If you fail you get told you are not good enough. I don't mind the comments form Koch, yes they had a dip but it wasn't enough and he told them as such. Imagine Demonland if Tommy Bugg had kicked 5 points in an elimination final. -

I'm shattered now, just read the Crows club board on big footy and someone posted that Lever was showing off his new toy on twitter. A coffee machine. Big commitment, can't see him coming now. -
They panned to Nathan Jones in the stands, looks like he's one player that received the finals email.

Parker and Kennedy are unbelievable, they take contested marks, they win clearances and they kick goals. The manner in which they go about it is actually great to watch.

Oh, the misery continues, I'm re-living the nightmare of two weeks ago,. My second team has been infected by the "old gone missing in a quarter trick."

Put a sock in it Ling, dribble, dribble, dribble. Buddy is on one leg and kicked a hat-trick in 5 minutes.

Wasn't there a riddle a couple of seasons back, something about a bird or something coming to us? -
No argument from me here WODF, going into the season I believed we had more upside than the Tigers, even after the Anzac eve match I walked away thinking if we played them again this season we would beat them up and easily. All the comments on the quartet mentioned above are spot on and made me realise we still have a way to go with our consistency in terms of leadership as you rightly stated.

My uncle and my cousins are all Richmond fanatics. We've had running feuds the last 30 years about which club is better. The arguments have been spiteful at times especially on their end which makes me dislike Richmond. As much as it pains me to say this, I have to give the Tigers credit, they fell off the face of the earth last year and had no expectations this year and have caught everyone by surprise. They have a system in place and they believe in it, only need to look at their body language. Neil Balme must have weaved some magic down at Punt Rd. I believe, pound for pound we have a better list but this is yet to be proven. It will cut deep even if they just make it to the big dance but I won't begrudge their long suffering fans the joy except maybe my uncle and cousins. BTW, I'm still shaking my head at our epic fail in the last round.

This thread reminds me of all the painful long drives I have taken with my children. "Are we there yet, are we there yet?" Only this time, I'm the child. -
Help Needed - Collingwood/Buckley Jokes
Dee Zephyr replied to WAGSLEFTFOOT's topic in Melbourne Demons
A Collingwood girl walks into the local dry cleaners. She places a garment on the counter. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon to pick up my dress." she says. "Come again?" says the worker, cupping his ear. "No" she replies. "This time it's mayonnaise." -
Funny that, I thought that was the win that was going to get us in the finals.
-
He mentioned that we started to struggle in key areas from round 15 onwards. Im guessing those struggles wouldn't have disappeared if we made the finals. Was this a case of the opposition working us out and we had no plan B or C? Were our players cooked after that 4 week horror stretch in the middle of the year? Injuries to key personnel hence no opportunity to rest more players throughout the year? Will this current list win us a flag? If no, throw the kitchen sink at Lever, Gaff and anyone they think will get us there. Seems everyone at the club has a long hard road ahead this summer. Not a good sign when you start to struggle with a third of the season left. Trade period might tell us a bit about where this journey will go.

Tweeted 2 days ago we pulled out of the Lever race but yet this morning the Zanotti Files guy posts on Facebook Lever has verbally committed to us for 2018 and beyond. Who do you listen to? -
