  1. Best Bet Eagle Farm Race 5 No.10 Another Dollar $3.90W
  2. My favourite part was the fake cheering after the siren. Don’t think I’ve ever heard a crowd cheer after a drawn game. Everyone usually sits there confused.
  3. I think this would be a hoot. Watching the reactions of landers’ during a match and at the same time watching them post on the game day thread.
  4. My guess is Hunt also to be included if we change 7. We have a comeback story in Bennell, two debutants, why not include a player seemingly out of favour. One more surprise.
  5. Not 100% sure Andy, I thought I read somewhere the media wasn’t allowed in last night’s scratch match due to the trialling from the broadcasters. Might explain the lack of vision from the journos.
  6. I found his thoughts interesting to listen to McQueen, a lot more interesting than some of the posts on this site celebrating the possible omission of certain players from our team. No problem if you don’t agree with him, I believe we will win this weekend but I thought it was relevant to the topic.
  7. A bit strange the clubs involved in tonight’s game didn’t provide any score updates or reports for their supporters. Wonder if it was an AFL directive as the broadcasters were trialling some TV tricks.
  8. How to beat Melbourne. Thought this was pretty good.
  9. 3 real feel good stories. Good luck to all 3 and credit to them for the hard work they must have put in with no football being played the last 3 months.
  10. Come on W’DEE, chuck Dunkley on a wing and place 4 Demonlanders on the interchange.
  11. Yep, latest injury report has Petty (groin), Preuss (Achilles) and Hore (toe) sidelined. At least a month for all of them.
  12. Thought so too except the part where he said judging by T Macs comments Harley is still holding back a bit and you get exposed by Carlton at the MCG by doing that.
  13. What happened to the Round 2 Crowd thread? Caroline Wilson stating fans will be allowed into the Gabba and Metricon this weekend.
  14. Help me out here. In : Bennell, Jones, Salem, Weid Out: Bedford, Spargo, Brown, ???? Possibly ANB, Lockhart might be the unlucky one to miss with Salem coming back into defence and with Harmes set to play back there also.
  15. Might be time to revisit bomberblitz in stealth mode and see what the goss is.
  16. Becoming very hard to control the excitement with all these reports. So many supporters excited by the prospect of Harley running out with us as early as next week, can’t even imagine how he is feeling.
  17. Best Bet Randwick Race 8 No.7 Phaistos $3.00 (W)
  18. You can just feel this scenario playing out next week.
  19. 150 cardboard cutouts of the great man in our cheer squad end of the ground.
  20. Good problem to have but I’m guessing most teams are in a similar boat after the layoff. Chaplin talked a bit about Lever having great endurance which enables him to play 100% of game time especially with shorter quarters. That helps us to better utilise rotations elsewhere on the field, same can be said about O Mac. 100% game time again in R1, don’t think he’s missing out anytime soon unless someone proves they can play his role better. Like others, I’m most excited by the prospect of Rivers running out very soon. There was a lot to like from the North game in preseason.
  21. Around 40m or closer i’d go T Mac. Over 40 I’ll choose Hunt, he holds the clutch award from 2019.
  22. Has anything else been reported on this apart from the news vision last night Damo? Hopefully it’s nothing but a bit of a back rub.
  23. Shellacking @Sir Why You Little, they could’ve brought the cardboard cutouts on as replacements, the wind might have blown some over on the Roosters players and actually laid a tackle.
  24. According to Salem on SEN we had some match play last Saturday and Bennell completed the majority of it and pulled up fine. We did see some vision of him in match sim last week but from memory that was a midweek session. We have another match play scenario this Saturday and if all goes well we might at least see Harley putting his hand up for Carlton.
  25. The aim of the game back then was just to get the ball forward and score. You hardly saw any of your best players on the bench unless injured. Players weren’t afraid to use both feet and used to great effect, players these days run arcs to get on their dominant side. Skills were so much better, clean pick ups, one grab marks etc etc.
