NON MFC: Round 08
Yeah but how good watching fans lose their marbles at decisions. Someone let us in please.

What they're saying down at Stanley Street
• I really hope we have a thumping win over the Melbourne Football Club. Not a fan of their fans and given we haven't had a big win in a while, hope we do so this week. Saw this earlier in the week. We’re a nice bunch aren’t we? @DemonOX and other fellow ‘landers that attend, make sure you belt out a strong rendition of the song should we win.

Driving to the G on match day
Will never forget driving to the footy as a young fella in the late 80s early 90s especially around finals time and seeing a massive Melbourne/Go Demons banner hanging down from the roof of a multilevel storage facility/warehouse on Alexandra Parade near the Smith St intersection. Always excited us young ones.

Scratch Match: Carlton vs Melbourne, Richmond & Essendon
Going by the report and solitary pic on the Blues’ website we provided the jumpers and Richmond the socks. Like the improvising but not the fact they labelled the team Rich-bourne Bombers.

Kozzie Pickett's no-stat highlights reel
I’m still curious as to what caused Goody to slam the desk. Maybe it was a result of the Gus handball. Just a guess though. Hawks took it up the other end after that and the ball finished out of bounds with the camera then turning to an unhappy Goody.

Aaron vandenBerg to miss 2 weeks [CONFIRMED]
Wondering how we got him to QLD, can you fly with a fractured cheekbone or did AVB endure a 1000km trip in a Hertz rental?

Fixture 2020 (COVID Edition)
Kind of feels like NHL/NBA fixturing. On a plane every second day. Strap in if you love your footy. No bigger challenge than the upcoming month. Really looking forward to it.

Thought that also ht, the next few rounds could be announced later this week according the article. We are just over a week out from Rd 9 and we still don’t know which team we are playing, us fans anyway.

Goodwin shows some emotion...finally
Just a guess Red....someone told him the last post on the ‘Right Guy’ thread was July 12. In all seriousness, it might have come from I think Gus and Pickett not being clean enough at half forward and the Hawks rebounding for a goal. We were 48 up at the time. It was shortly after that.

POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Brilliant team effort. The pressure in the first half was off the chart i thought. A quarter of our total tackle count came inside our forward 50. We head to the sunshine state with some confidence now. Can’t wait for next week, Weid building nicely and a date with Andrews ( best full back imo) awaits.

GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
I think I’ve worked out how to beat them. Same game multis seem the go lately so I tried a couple this round. Had Selwood in one on Thursday, pops a hammie early. Tried again in last night’s game and included Caddy and Ziebell. Well well, both pop a hammie early. I’m including all Hawks players today. Go Dees!!

TEAMS: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
A whopping % of 236.4 in those 4 games BF...yep I’m bored also.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Apologies if I’ve missed it, has anyone heard anything about our scratch match against Sydney? I’ve only read we came out of it with no injury concerns, curious to see how many per side since we only had about 10-11 players available at the time. The Swans provided a report on their players after the solid hit-out.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Gold Coast
Indeed dieter, just look at the play with Gus dishing to O Mac and the kick forward to Bennell which leads to a Weid mark and goal. Gathers the ball and sums it perfectly, doesn’t waste precious seconds by swinging on to his preferred foot, a 40-50m left foot kick deep inside 50 to a one on one. Harley doesn’t need many possessions to have an impact.
