TEAM: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I’d love to see us send Trac forward for longer periods in this one, predominantly as the deepest especially if we are struggling up there. Remember Trac taking Hurley apart a few years ago at the dome with 4 snags.

Did Ricciuto say how much they are paying Gibbs? Very strange comments.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
You look forward to Thursday nights for selections then suddenly realise you play Sunday and have to wait another 24 hrs for the final team. Predicting they will include Weid, Kossie, Hibbo and Lockhart to the squad. If Hibbo does get selected for the final 22 I’m also fearing it will be at the expense of Jetta. One thing to look forward to is seeing Langdon and Tomlinson on the MCG wings for the first time.

TV Coverage: Round 3
Clicking on the second link provided by George it does show our game as FTA. Maybe it was fixed a short time ago.

Cause, Treatment, and Consequence
It was interesting listening to Max last night. He talked about the variables that might have caused the second half fade out. One of them being how some of our players might interpret the terminology about patience with the ball differently. It might take a while before we are on the same page but this season isn’t that long. Here’s a terminology that can’t be read in different ways. Beat those [censored]ers on Sunday!

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Carlton
One of our main problems I believe layzie, especially when momentum is with the opposition. Seen teams do it against us time after time when we dominate possession but struggle to do it ourselves. After two rounds we are in the bottom 2 for contested marking. Lever, May, T Mac and Max 1 contested mark between them so far. We took 6 against Carlton. Trac -2....Hunt -1.....Salem -1.....Fritta-1 ....ANB -1.

That is correct od but I thought Skuit was talking about our match against Ess last season.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I remember T Mac hobbling on one leg that night Sku and spending some time on the wing early then a significant amount of time on the pine during that blitz. There was a lot of talk post match about us playing our best footy that night while T Mac was out of the forward line.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Interesting listening to May’s presser after training today. He said the Carlton game was reviewed in the rooms after the match so it’s fresh in their minds and they can start focusing on the Bombers instantly. Don’t mind that. May also touches on Harmes still getting familiar with that half back role. Doesn’t sound like Harmes will be moved out anytime soon. DB’s injury report has no new casualties, no idea how they will go this week with changes. If Weid is included I’d love just to sit him at FF.

Goalless Quarters Since 2012
Are we including 2016? Come to think of it, it actually reads worse since the start of 2017.

CHANGES: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I will spew up if they drop Hunt. From what we were able to see on the TV, I thought he was very influential. Just need to look at the work he puts in as a forward. Classic example was Trac’s goal in the 3rd and the behind the goal vision shows that. Great team goal by the way when things weren’t going our way and Hunt was partly responsible. Oliver wins a contested ball at half back, handballs to Viney and puts a long kick to Trac’s advantage. While all this was happening Hunt made multiple leads to confuse the hell out of Liam Jones and in the end it left the square vacant for the ball to bounce through. Mind you, Hunt still beat Jones to the line. What are other forwards do we have that can do that? You don’t need a heap of possessions as a forward to influence the game.

Scratch Matches 2020
We got a couple of mentions on the Carlton site. Jimmy Plunkett was one of the umps and we had 17 players enabling us 3 rotations whilst all 14 Blues played the entire 3x20 min periods.

Getting Tickets to the Footy When Crowds Return
Agree with that. The only thing to add is if restrictions continue during the regular season once you have been selected to attend a match you then go to the bottom of the line to at least give everyone a chance to attend.

Hope Hannan pulled up well after the scratch match. Takes Melskham’s place for mine.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Carlton
Lol, unreal return to the footy. Likes for now.....Bennell looked like he got through ok. Trac is just a beast, would’ve lost without him I think. Rivers although not the same type as Whelan just looked like he belonged immediately. Reminded me of Wrecker’s debut. He might even get some votes. Good to see Hunt amongst the goals. Some of our boys looked dirty after the game
