  1. By not allowing MFC players to play in finals they were looking after the MFC interests first.
  2. So, are you more concerned about Casey or Melbourne?
  3. I agree that Melbourne should have allowed more players to play finals (although not that many were eligable), but I don't see how being a stand alone would help.
  4. So all those who are saying the MFC come first want a stand alone team so as to help Casey in the finals?
  5. Morton was never good, many were simply seduced by his high possession, low impact games early on.
  6. Close to one of the most overrated Melbourne players. A solid player, but with his football brain I'd happily trade in a heartbeat.
  7. He's a fairly average kick, probably a little bit better than Nicholson.
  8. Not good if true, he clearly is an extremely good VFL coach.
  9. Should have been the "Gillette" Delistings, either it's a close shave or you get cut.
  10. They have put up photos of Magner, Nicholson and Jones working hard already.
  11. Because what they write is what the bogan uneducated masses (Collingwood supporters) like to / can actually read.
  12. The second ruckman should be on the bench, not in the forward pocket.
  13. I don't normally care about this but it was the worst team in a long time. Pendlebury over Mitchell? Naitanui over Jacobs? Cox in the forward pocket? The thing that really annoys me is that they said Pavlich didn't make the team because he played in the midfield early in the year (then kicking 50 goals in ten games), but they then chose Naitanui becuase when he was in the ruck he was good, despite the fact he spent a lot of time forward.
  14. Dangerfield and Rioli All-Australians. Bloody happy with Cale "Muscles" Morton.
  15. The MFC have uploaded photos of Nicholson and Jones already working hard in the gym (probably two players who don't need it).
  16. By calling every little tiggy touchwood decision the umpires stupidly make it more difficult for themselves because it they then miss a soft free that they paid earlier they are immediately inconsistent. Unfortunately they are instructed to umpire this way, whereas they should be instructed to only make decisions when they are 100% sure there was an infringement and that it had a negative impact on the opposition. This would not only reduce inconsistency it would also reduce players acting up for soft free kicks which is becoming more common.
  17. I still remember the year Newton won it, he "tied" in the Mark of The Week voting with a West Coast Eagles slips catch. Well done Howe!
  18. Paul Roos is the worst on On The Couch. My housemate and I lost it when he asked Sam Mitchell last week about "Joey Kennedy".
  19. I agree with this, no doubt Melbourne winning would help but I can happily not watch a game if it is on. Too many teams, the quality of talent has been diluted and the football media annoy me to no end.
  20. I won't always enjoy it, but I will do it.
  21. There is a story in the little paper about Crows showing interest in Giles, I quite enjoyed the typo: "He's had a great season for the Ginats", added Sanderson.
  22. I wish someone in the media had the balls to ask Luke Power (with his close association with the AFLPA) how he felt about Phil Scully taking the wages of his teammates.
  23. I want Melbourne to be soft, spineless and easily kicked around by everyone. Cale Morton for captain.
  24. I don't see why the result of this game has people calling for a reserves side. Collingwood have a reserves side but they don't even get to play because they missed the finals.
  25. Every year Melbourne are down the bottom, the gap between the best and worst teams widens, that's the scary bit.
