WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Straight Sets Simon replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Viney has obviously been able to train with the club for the past year, but I am amazed at just how big he and other draftees are already. Even compared to when Trengove was drafted, the players drafted look much bigger now. -
I agree. Again it was just rumours but I still don't even know if the kid can play.
-
Barrett just said rumours are that Caddy won't nominate a club because he is worried the fallout would leave him at Melbourne. Apparently just does not want to come to Melbourne.

Awesome news! I hope we can get this Hogan kid who sounds good. -

He simply said Melbourne were interested, did not mention pick 4 whatsoever. -

Walsh said Melbourne were interested in Wellingham but did not mention pick 4. Can we please ban all references to Facebook pages? -
Always been a big fan since his debut. Had a pretty bad 2012, has a lot of good qualities but the way he kicks the ball means it will be hard for him to improve without overhauling his action.

You left out Joey!

When our recent top five draft selections have included Morton, Watts and Scully, there is good reason to be sceptical. -

No, we will find out on Monday. -
I would, but he's tapped my phone.

Yes, we did get Clark after he wanted to go back to Western Australia, but the main reason he came to Melbourne was they were able to get a deal done with Brisbane while Fremantle sat on their hands. Bloody salary cap.
-
Never understood why he was taken out of the middle, seeing him play forward was just weird.

Didn't Valenti win this at Melbourne just before they delisted him? -
Rory Hilton always seemed to play well against Melbourne.

Well if Gold Coast choose to bid they rate him as second best. Again, it's not about how he is rated now, it's how he is rated in a few years time. -
If Rivers does go I think it is worth playing Martin as a defender again. He is too uncoordinated to play forward and isn't damaging enough as a ruckman.

Tambling was rated as number one, as were Watts and Scully. Morton was rated number four. The point is, pre-trade ratings mean very little after a year or two. -
I stopped listening, why? EDIT: Just saw explanations above.
