White Rabbit White Ale is my pick at the moment and Red Hill Golden Ale never disappoints.

TROY BROADBRIDGE DAY - 26 DECEMBER
Straight Sets Simon replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I still remember his first game where the history books show he kicked a goal with his first kick, when in reality it was his second kick because despite shanking it the Essendon player moved over the mark so he got a second chance. That in many ways sums up his career, a player who wasn't pretty but took his chances and through hard work became a regular in the Melbourne 22. I can't believe it's been ten years, rest in peace, Troy. -

How many times has "I'll trust the coaches" been said over the past seven years? That's up there with "in Barry Prendergast I trust". -
One incident like that shouldn't rule a player out from being a captain.

Kent is looking as fit as ever, has lost the puppy fat. I expect him to play a lot in 2015. Great photos once again, thank you for all your efforts in bringing these to us. -
Further proof that Robert Shaw knows very little about football: "A father-son, promoted rookies and arguably the two prized picks in the draft in Christian Petracca and Angus Brayshaw. But at with Melbourne we have seen that before. Melbourne has been deplorable in player development, yet blamed the recruiting staff pre Paul Roos and there is a lot of catching up to be done. Hopefully all is now in place to give Melbourne's kids an even chance of developing and the club of retaining its own early picks. It's not about talent identification for Melbourne any longer, just pure development."

Also, the problem with judging players at training is that they are only "playing" against other Melbourne players. -
We only gave him five years?

I'm not. -
Like anything, doing something to the extreme isn't great but I'm sure most people can cut back on bread, pasta and sugar it and will do them good.

Does the latest court finding change anything?

I laughed when reading this part.

I thought when Roos came in they stopped doing this as it was something Neeld was big on, or did I imagine that? -

Good to hear Toumpas running well. Has his speed and acceleration improved as well or is it more just his endurance at this stage? -
I bet you've been gagging to include "Newton" in a best 22.

Cannot agree with this at all. When he is playing, good things happen. Easily best 22.

Strauss, Blease, Tapscott: End of an era
Straight Sets Simon replied to bing181's topic in Melbourne Demons
But we could have taken him instead of any player in the draft, not just Jurrah. -

If Jurrah over Rockliff was a first round selection I'd agree, however we could have taken him with any pick that draft. Jurrah is one of the most talented players I've ever seen and despite all that's happened I don't begrudge the club for drafting him. -
I'm just thankful that Jim Stynes helped clear our debt when he did.
