I thought the AFL took a dim view, like everything, of draft prospects training with clubs without permission, hence why I thought it might be Maynard, too interested in his guns to notice the hair colour?????
-
The blonde guy could be Maynard, when I spoke to him at training looked pretty solid Training starts Nov 15 I think

And you are the expert right? So what position and what club are you on the list management team, would like to run an eye, non critical of course, over some of your list decisions I could then bow down to your superior knowledge, maybe not As this is a forum and the thread is about looking at recruiting Xavier Richards, there will be differing opinions on his worth, mine is in the negative especially if it requires a payout of a contract You will have to.live with that, or not read or reply to my posts, this course of action may suit us both
-
All the above is your opinion, I don't agree with it, being your opinion doesn't necessarily mean your assessment of Garland is the correct one, same as mine, but to suggest we pay out a contract to bring in a virtual unknown playing wise seems to be an adventurous suggestion
-
So you would delist a defender with 100+ games experience and pay out his contract and maybe with a decent pre season under his belt get back to where he was to get the extension, to recruit a guy who has managed 12 games in 3 yrs? And one who threw a sulk
-
Perhaps now Chris is not on the list he thought I'll give Demonland a read, oh look they whinge a lot so it will be cool if I display a sense of ingratitude

Lachie Whitfield under investigation
Satyriconhome replied to Gipsy Danger's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's not anger directed at the agencies, I just think they are useless and only have victories when as I say it is handed to them on a plate, I just think the air of triumphalism they then display is self serving and pathetic -
It wasn't a matter of Chip discussing his true intentions, the impression I got when talking to him and it was confirmed by others at the club after the fact was that he had not made his mind up, similar to Hogan probably 50/50 at one stage but when Hawthorn came calling with a chance of a flag, he couldn't say no, and none of us would either if we were in his position And please try and keep your posts civil, la la land has plenty of inhabitants on here

I thought all sporting organisations 'promised' to abide by drug agencies findings hence my derisive attitude towards them And didn't get him until somebody dobbed, my point DOCTOR Reid removed from everything, assume that was deal between ASADA which surprisingly has doctors in its employ, AFL and AMA, now there is a grassy knoll for you Again we are 12 months down the track with the Whitfield, nobody would be any the wiser if not for a narky girlfriendi -

My point surely if you turn up to a club to test a certain number of players and you are one short you would ask why, that's if you are doing your job properly -
Demonland Crystal Ball 2017: Your predictions for next season
Satyriconhome replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
Posters on Demonland to finally realise it is footy in 2017, and we need a minimum of at least 30 AFL standard players ready to go each week, that way we can pick the 22 in form and fully fit each week with the 'unlucky' ones continually pushing for a place As for the Best 22, apart from a couple of backs and forwards I want see the rest capable of playing anywhere so we can continually throw different looks at opposition teams -

It is the sheer lack of consistency by the agencies that appalls me 2 examples of supposed stupidity Wade Lees ex Casey player served a full 2 year ban for importing but not using a banned substance Maria Sharapova ban reduced, and she actually failed the drug test for banned substance, maybe if Wade was pretty and blonde with high powered lawyers might have got the same Also How ASADA has not even gone near DOCTOR Reid at Essendon is beyond me, yet nobody asks why When somebody dobs in, the agencies never do the leg work, out they trot with an air of triumphalism saying 'look we are doing our jobs' How, if ASADA are so critical of Essendon's record keeping did they not know Whitfield had not been tested Oh that's ok somebody will dob him in down the track -

I didn't say support, I said believe everything they said and it is not everybody It doesn't really matter whether I have read the code or not, it will not change my opinion that the agencies are useless -

In your opinion they are spurious and erroneous, doesn't necessarily equate that they are wrong I have an issue with those accepting every single thing that both ASADA and WADA spout, so I could say they err in their acceptance -
I know Chip was, only from conversations I had with him, if as you state you have sources within the club, you will know that this was the opinion of most, as Chip invested in the club right until the end of the season, then went away and decided which way to go You are also asking us to believe that people within the club confided in you, I get enough grief from the conversations I have with players, but being 'trusted' I get a lot of straight answers to questions, not all of which I put on here

I have done the research, unlike some, I don't use pack mentality to form an opinion.......as others also continually repeat their opinions, I feel free to continue to espouse mine -

I have the opinion that ASADA, WADA and the rest are useless in the fight against drugs with sport, whether you like it or not, I don't care -

Oh I don't know, check their records and see he wasn't tested? You're now apologizing for their consistent incompetence My opinion drugs are in all sports, they are always one step ahead of the agencies They only "victories' they have is when they are handed to to them on a plate -
The only question mark on Spencers head is on here, the FD gave him another year, marvelous how it becomes fact, not opinion
-
Spencer had one bad game, he has been given a 1 year contract, with the culling that has been going on you would think the FD these days would have shown him the door if they didn't even consider him 'emergency cover'. Pedersen is quite capable of playing the role, and for what it is worth Gawn seems to like spending a lot of time on the ground so we don't really need a ruckman/fwd, more of a fwd/ruckman, Mahoney said fwd/ruckman to take the burden off Watts playing the role, do we really need a 200cm guy playing forward alongside Hogan, personally prefer a small sized unit, seemed to work the best last season
-
I can see where it is going, but it depends on need, we obviously identified we needed another ruck so went with an 18 yr old, when there was a mature age goal kicking ruckman available......see where this is going....there were also quite a few tall ruck/fwd available for trade we went nowhere near them, Mahoney mentioned in passing another fwd/ruck would be a good option, we didn't get one, does that still mean we will draft one, who knows, personally would be surprised if it was Cameron, but stranger things have happened Mahoney also stated we drafted McKenna to play forward after two years of playing as a defender with GWS

Yes I do know how it works, the drug agencies sit on their hands waiting for a team mate, girlfriend, coach, disgruntled employee to dob in a 'drug cheat', then they come out all guns blazing showing what a good job they are doing.....yeah right....my opinion -
He was there for last years draft yet we went for an 18yr old in Mitch King, why would we revisit if we didn't last year?
