WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA
Satyriconhome replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
The same applies to Clint's post, we have 40 odd players on the list, not all can be stars, but they are on the list coz the FD put them there not 'good judge'supporters, they are soon off the list if they can't cut it. -

It's actually quite funny, I asked Kelly O'Donnell at last training session wheher we had another piece of NEAFL fruit hidden away ready to pick and he just smiled -

Depends on whether you are a pessimist or optimistic the club knows what it is doing -

The way we are going Draft Day is going to be really interesting for us, we were really keen as others have said on McKenna obviously have been closely monitoring since, that's the 3 spots filled now what? -

Wasn't ridiculing Pedo, his name was just far enough down the list of re signings to make the line slightly absurd personally really like the bloke as a person and player. Think personally they asked Lewis to say the Hogan line, good vibes, think the 3 year offer and friendship with Todd Viney main factors -
What? his lunch. If fit and in form I would have him in the team, but all this discussion is irrelevant, I would just have posts listing each posters best 22, I personally never bother because I get down to the last 2 or 3 and lose interest

No questons, two good pickups along with Lewis you need a minimum of 30 AFL ready players each week these days -
We can agree to disagree, I have been around quite a long time, have met in that time 2 'real' leaders, others are manufactured and helped in their tasks by other members of the team(s)

My take on it as well, Essendon are in no hurry either, we have till lunchtime tomorrow, only have to lodge papers if the deal is already agreed to, reckon like Ron it may be this years pick -
Anybody can lead if they have the troops to lead, that has been our issue, not the quality of leaders McVeigh has had Kennedy, Hanneberry, Jack, Franklin Ling had Bartel, Enright, Kelly Hodge had Mitchell, Lewis, Roughead, Lewis

And if the boot was on the other foot and we didn't play hard ball there would be 55 pages on here immediately -
I'm with you to an extent P-man, even though we know what a good player Lewis is, he has to get into the side from Round 1 and like the rest perform each week to stay in, the competition for spots was fast becoming fierce last season, this new season will be even harder, new coach, clean slate for everybody, can't wait

I reckon with both Mitchell and Lewis being traded, Clarkson was looking at a complete regeneration of the midfield, we are now getting straight bats to questions from the media, why would Lewis start looking at alternatives now if something along those lines wasn't said, unfortunately none of us are in the inner sanctum of Hawthorn to know exactly what is going on there at the moment, although their twitter feed and the replies to some of their tweets has some interesting and colourful suggestions as to what is going on from Hawks supporters

Yes they do, the players got banned for it, think the deal will be done, think the Lewis deal took over, reckon next years 2nd round unless of course there is one of the mega deals as being posted -
My take on the whole thing Lewis had end of year interview, Clarkson said couldn't guarantee a regular starting place as he wanted to start the regeneration of the midfield and also couldn't guarantee a new contract Also asked if Lewis was open to a trade to the Gold Coast as part of JOM move Lewis thought hmmm, think I have a few years left will have a chat with a few people Todd Viney straight into his ear after clearing it with Josh Mahoney Lewis a Melbourne player
-
Gold hopefully we are not interested a NON from me
-
I reckon he is aiming for Tom Rockcliff, a tom is a name for a male turkey, a cliff usually drops into an ocean, can't think of the butter bit yet, unless he means the English prostitute who used to use butter as a lubricant
-
But he hasn't played in the ruck, so he would be coming from the same starting point from a rucking point of view as Hulett, didn't think much of him when he played for Sydney, but if FD are interested who knows? Like to know why he has actually requested a trade, has a club tapped his manager on the shoulder?
-
I suggested that if we were unsuccessful in finding a ruck/fwd, Hulett with his build would be a good candidate and got howled down, assume the same applies to Richards as they are now same height
-
That was very sweet of you to put that HT particularly in light of me rubbishing David Lynch....oh no I am nearly derailing the thread There are quite a few posters with good sources, myself included, it depends on whether you want to post what you have heard, whether you have been asked not to, or whether you are ready to receive the flak if the information turns out to be erroneus
