I was surprised that for somebody who has played basketball for a while, Maynard's skills are good
-
Gus is ok, as per interview on club website, just getting it done in the first week, was very smooth when they were doing the bring out and back in drills

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS

Yes Chris, but you said ASADA wouldn't reach a decision with incomplete information, which is what they did, as you state above -

cough...that would be a first, isn't that what they did in Essendon's case because the information had supposedly been shredded I am no fan of the AFL -

Sorry for the capitals but don't know how to change font colour -
Thanks LH but when you have a poster like DS posting a perfect summation of the drills, leaves me free to check out other stuff and post The training has gone up another notch from last year with Roos, which went up from the year before, and the year before, everybody is on the same page, knows exactly what is going to transpire during the session, each person has a role, like watching a well oiled machine Plus we have players who have a settled future and thanks to Roos and now Goodwin, can see the light at the end of the tunnel, Hogan is a completely different beast, all the contract rubbish is out of the way, the perceived weight on his shoulders as a saviour is lifted (like Watts) he has returned in fabulous nick and is leading the way at training I have also spoken to a couple of them (no names in this instance), and following the end of season reviews they know exactly what is expected of them this year and what the consequences will be if they don't produce

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS

So Hird, Dank, Robinson, Reid, board of Essendon, Demetriou and a couple of others at the AFL, do the words 'hell freezes over" ring bells? He has handed back the medal, I am more concerned how we are going to contain Essedon's revitalised midfield in games -
Ron, the Wiz has a son called Kobe, who is tearing it up at junior level in WA, keeps dropping hints for the Dees to come look at him, the Wiz is still a big fan, having a 'cousin' called Nev Jetta at the club helps

2016 Player Review - # 8 Heritier Lumumba
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Stay away from training, get body and head in correct space, turn up on 21st ready to go. Vince, who is now over 30, whose form dropped away in latter part of season, who now has a heap of hungry youngsters up his clacker for his spot, should he return early? Personally I hope HL proves everybody wrong and has an outstanding season, agreed though the odds seemed stacked against this happening -

Maybe Watson, like others including myself, just wants this to go away, this whole thing from start to finish has been a mess, let's put it to bed and get on with the new season, the one amusing thing in all this for me, was a news story a couple of days ago that Essendon were amongst the clubs who were fined for administrative breaches in regards to player whereabouts and it just seemed to fade away, as non news with past history and Whitfield implications ignored....my point about the whole anti drugs program is a circus run by clowns -
Don't forget Trenners spent all the finals series playing for Casey, so entitled for a longer break, has been posting on Instagram like the rest, been working out down in Rowville at the Cuzzie gym owned by Alex S the rehab guy at the Club
-
I would say no, reckon they have brought both Melksham and Hibberd back early so they have a fortnight of rehab for when the whole squad is together on the 21st, he's doing the work without looking too 'stressed' at the end, heard Misson tell Viney twice to 'curb his enthusiasm' if you get my meaning...believe Hibberd spent the Wednesday training indoors on the Watt bike
-
Perfect summation again DS, can you please turn up to all the sessions I can, you can do your bit and I can do the periphery, describing drills not my forte On JKH believe they have adopted the Hunt approach, get him right so once he is right he stays on the field
-
A no show up to now, assume Monday
-
And on the fitness side, spoke to Macca, who says it straight, said any player who turns up less than perfect, may as well start practicing the drive to Casey
-
On McKenna, early observations, nice size, good speed and neat and tidy kicking action, has slotted in seamlessly, was told he turned up first day in excellent nick
-
The players stir Crossy all the time, but you can sense the respect, I asked him whether there was even a slight chance of showing his age or slowing down, emphatic NO On the fitness side, they are trialling a large electronic clock comtrolled by the video guys so everybody can see the length of time for drills
-
I also asked Kelly O Donnell whether the had looked at Kobe Farmer, said he will be in 'the system' next year which will give them opportumity to have a close look
-
When I spoke to Goody on Monday, Hibberd half back, Melksham same as Lewis/Jones/Vince wing/halfback/guts
-
No after first session on Monday which was virtually footy free, lots of footy drills now, Goody good to his word

Frosty has an issue with an ankle, not due back till 21st so was told to give it a rest Macca is pumped, think it will be him driving the standards, coaches as well, so Goody can coach
-
I was there this morning, change of personnel this morning Bugg out Natnan Jones, Hibberd, Viney in Hogan the standout again today, reckon they will be pulling the reins a bit soon, Petracca good as well, Salem produced one of the worst kicks I have seen him do in a drill, much to everybody's amusement, soon back on song Will be posting a pic of Maynard next to Jake Spencer so posters can aee why is size is mentioned, if somebody later can put on here, pics should be up in hour or so The soccer drill is for coordination and making them use both feet More later

List analysis: What Melbourne needs
Satyriconhome replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
But Spencer is still on an AFL list and Minson isn't and there hasn't been a large number of clubs chasing him, if the club didn't consider Spencer as the option why did it offer him a new contract, knowing that there would be ruckmen on the market?
