There was no opposition ruck during the drill which you would need if serious, and he wasn't practicing third man up, seemed more about getting his timing and eye in, he was tapping the ball down now and again, so maybe Guthrie took this as ruckwork, but team ethic is all about tapping on now rather than grabbing, if opposition player is up your clacker. But then again if they go with him instead of Spencer he will have to ruck .

Gee would hate to see when you do bash. Member engagement must be awful, signed up well ahead of last year Just watched 2 up to date interviews with Jayden Hunt and Jack Viney on phone app

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 1
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It wasn't ruckwork, it was a bit of marking, spoiling etc they had the rucks working with Greg Stafford during the session and he went nowhere near -
And I thought some posted on here.....
-
Contradictory posts on Demonland, frankly I'm shocked you mean the wind blows
-
No, too busy chatting to Jack Viney and Christian Salem, only noticed Stevens in passing
-
Mark Stevens is an avid reader of Demonland, he also was at training and was still hanging round the scan place when I left I wasn't hanging round the scan place

Looked like a craft session, with the Casey guys from Sunday doing a half paced recovery The rest did a number of drills specific to their role in the team ie midfield stoppage work, defenders spoiling, forwards running patterns etc Frost and Wagner did bits and pieces with Frost doing the most, had his usual speed back so not far off No sign of Hibberd Gawn spent a lot of time niggling the mids and got a couple of whacks for his trouble Hogan looks like a caged animal waiting to be released which is only a good thing Lewis proved to me he is human with a couple of ordinary kicks with his right during a drill where they had to use non preferred

The guys who played at Casey on Sunday had a recovery day direct from Tyson, Nev Jetta all left track early
-
I agree, the team is 22 players, if all play the role they are given, and play it well, there is chance to win
-
Bad news for Col, defensive stocks are cool we still have Pedersen or Keilty ad big bodied defenders
-
He had a look at his left hammy with the medicos towards the end of Tuesday's session, assume because back and hammy are all related, sent for scan Training strongly today, no issue As I have said before players have to report even the slightest twinge

Gold??

Dunkin welcome to Demonland, depending on the time of year you will see the same topic repeated each year on the following Etihad Casey Away jumper Club Website Jack Watts

I said reckless, which any fool, including those on here can understand, but can also understand why he is the way he is, perhaps like Viney needs to temper it ever so slightly against team mates
-
With Hulett think it is a bit more of technique and timing, got a picture of him at training a couple of weeks ago where this time he 'attacked'the marking bag before the carrier was settled and wore the corner of it straight in the Jatz
-
Hulett 'attacked' the whole drill, yes he needs to demonsttate intensity in front of the coaches, but a bit more care in his technique wouldn't go astray Hence my comment he is new Viney
-
Hulett's approach to the contest was reckless, it was a training drill, it was pure luck he didn't seriously injure Watts As I said he also got Hannan as well
-
So you actuaaly saw Watts pushed aside?
-
You may have a better chance next week, assume they will have one well publicised pre Rd 1 session, today was only Open Session and the first on a Tuesday, there is a Casey prsctice game coming up over the weekend if you live down that way
-
To follow up what Earl H said, Mitch King did whole session including crashing to the ground in one drill and ruck work at the end, on the LTI to manage? Hibberd just working through his issue, looked unencumbered during the session Joel Smith has 'foot' issue
-
Hulett is the new Viney, also got Hannan in same drill with an elbow, luckily he now has mouthguard
-
I know Nev's thinking on the matter, not Goody's
-
He forgot to mention his name at a press conference just after a game, didn't mention Pedersen either so he's gone as well Nev has had a quad injury at exactly the wrong time, he knows he has to force his way back into Goody's thinking and has a couple of Casey games to do that, I know this coz I spoke to Nev There are 16 days to go
