Satyriconhome replied to #11-TonyAnderson's topic in Melbourne Demons

I am still totally perplexed that there are no calls this week for Omac to be dropped a week a long time in footy? Or on Demonland
-
Just a note on Nev, he regards himself as a defender not a small defender, doesn't care who he has to match up on Nice to see him finally being recognised, even though he didn't play JLT did heaps of extra work to get himself into a position to be selected Rd1
-
Low football IQ, that's only demonstrated on Demonland If Nev has the opportunity to play on quickly he does, yesterday there weren't many opportunities to do that
-
Just because you post it doesn't make it true either That was Tyson's first game, he got better the longer the game went I don't give a flying what your non Demons supporting mate thinks of my team I take it you are another one who just watches the game for mistakes

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
Satyriconhome replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am not defending, just think people tend to look at players such as Martin and Wines now and think they are always like that, Wines was ordinary last year and Martin has only shown himself in the last 2 years -
The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised

So comparing Dusty 155 games and Wines 80+ games with Trac 18 games and a serious injury which cost him a year out of the game Can remember some bog ordinary games from both Martin and Wines Petracca is being asked to play a role each week and he is getting better at it each week -
The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised

Trac is Trac, on field an arrogant bull of a player who will get better and better Off field, a really nice guy who is excellent with sponsors and supporters, who gets ribbed mercilessly by the rest of the squad, Lewis on AFL360 showing just that -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 2
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Differrng opinions, I've seen more difference in a shearing shed On forums the mob mentality rules, with a few vociferous posters who shout down, personally abuse anybody that doesn't join in ant the rest follow I don't care who gets picked each week as long as they go out, have a crack and try and play their role as best they can I also don't sit at the G waiting for the next mistake to justify my stance Of the 5 I expect Tyson to be one and I don't care whot the other one is coz the FD will have their reasons -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 2
Satyriconhome replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Oh no what are the FD thinking, picking ordinary players with ordinary skills without checking with Demonland first tsk tsk -
I reckon what the footy dept will do is pick 22 players and give each of them a role
-
I agree with this, we seem to set up with nobody goal side in the fwd 50, we are all behind the ball or outside and assume we have a wall set up just outside the 50

Clarry wears a mouthguard, Had a close look at the 'modern' one the other day, completely different to my day, was transparent as well But remember the bigger the teeth the bigger the mouthguard, and in these days of the perfect cosmetically enhanced smile, why some players still look like they have half a tyre in their gob
-
Max said he was ok, just walked laps, take it for what you want, laughed at all the cameras, rubbed his back as he walked off to AAMI?
-
Er why would he be dropped?
-
Wagner reckons he needs a run at Casey first Hogan was in the gym, slight ankle issue, as per tv report
-
You are completely wrong about Garland, he being a true professional and was playing with a dodgy ankle and most of the time needed jabs He got it right over the break and had a solid pre season and was on his way back to some decent form when he did his knee So you want Omac to learn to play on AFL forwards in the VFL, please, he made a couple of mistakes, the rest of the time he was solid, the side picked this weekend will tell us whether those mistakes were critical enough to warrant being dropped, and that won't be decided on here thankfully I support the team, and whoever is in it at any given time, they are there for a reason
-
Interestingly Simon Goodwin seems to think Omac is AFL standard, so does Macca, let me think, those 2 or your opinion on Omac
-
Always the negative slant ADC
-
What are you trying to do Wise ruin the thread, I expect to read in no particular order representations of anger, bile, ecstasy, frustration, joy, despair, desperation, disgust etc and that's only on one page I know the Comedy Festival is starting soon but can we also keep the uni revue humour to a minimum as well
-
Biff, I work weird shift work, sitting all the time, so time off, out on the scoot, training fits in nicely As for Game Day, day out for myself and my partner, having breakfast as I type If I have an issue with footy, and I can fix it, I do, thought you knew my opinion of AFL, supporters vote with their feet, we look like we are on the up and membership looking healthy again, the rest we have no influence over and never will
-
It's just footy, occupies one day a weekend during the season and a couple of training sessions mixed in with my scooter rides and a couple of functions, it's really not that important
-
The last sentence of your post is the one that would be the most difficult, and the main reason I think it would fail Most supporters can't even be arsed filling out the surveys the clubs send out, so if it came into existence it would probably consist of fans/supporters from, putting it politely, the more extreme end of the supporter base, and hence why I think it would fail

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MITCHELL HANNAN
Satyriconhome replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Have watched him from day one at training, beautiful kick off both feet, got his non preferred wrong when chatting to him Another one like Hunt who looks like butter wouldn't melt, but onfield really agressive, one of the reasons we drafted him Just hope he has been given the go ahead to get airborne if it's there, we could be in for some fun either end of the field this Saturday -
Why, toothless tiger rings a bell, voting with your dollar for admission and membership would be only action AFL would care about
