  1. Can't be. Not wearing a beer hat.....
  2. I think it has been proven beyond any doubt that many journos troll this site for info, and then publish it as their own inside goss. Hi journos. faulty enjoys a chuckle at your ineptitude..
  3. I think people should remind themselves that this is a public forum. It's not just other posters who read our posts, there are many many more guests, and outsiders who are hungry for info. Please think about what you are about to post, as almost every day, I read some truly embarrassing stuff in this thread. Stop quoting what you want to happen, and start quoting what has actually been said, by a real person.
  4. We won't agree, unless we win the game. I'm betting the afl will grant essedons wish.
  5. While we no doubt improved, it's a very dangerous game with the emotion that will be attached. Would much prefer to play them later. Our record over the last decade is abysmal in games like this (if it happens) I think its odd that anyone doesn't understand that. Supporters typing bravado don't make the team play any better. Hope I'm very wrong of course, but history is on my side. The last 2 games really took the wind out of my sails.
  6. Will be a great day. Even if his footy turns to krap, at least that moron Brian Taylor won't be able to add "and he still hasn't re signed with the Dees", to every single commentary on Hogan.
  7. I s'pose I would feel ok about it.
  8. You're having a bad day at the keyboard today. Lay off the alcohol, and calm down. Have some water or something.
  9. It's the reason I was hoping for a Swans win today. Even given the advantages Sydney have been gifted, seeing Toby the duck McLean, his rugby passing team mates, and slope head Stringer waltzing around with a premiership medallion around their necks kills any joy I should be feeling for them. Of course, winners are grinners.
  10. Jeez they established a new standard today didn't they? I looked at the players accepting their medals wondering how the hell they managed to pull it off with so many players not considered as stars. They are the new benchmark, and deserve everything they got, especially considering their terrible injury run, and winning run of 4 finals. What a team. We have a huge amount of work to do before we can dare to dream like they did.
  11. We should be fighting tooth and nail to get games we can win, and make a profit from. An away game against the returning drug cheat heroes will make us zero cash, and embarrass us in prime time in front of prospective members, who we badly need to sign up.
  12. Like they did with their "walk to the G" this year, when they embarrassed us? It has humiliating loss scrawled all over it. Should be a tooth and nail fight to avoid this game. We have a terrible record in this sort of contest, over decades. Maybe you are too young to remember Ted.
  13. Let me tell you, after supporting the Dees for all of my 48 years, there is no such thing as "when" For us, it's still no more than hope.
  14. We have a terrible record in these sort of games. This is simply playing into the cheats hands. They "chose" us because they expect to beat us. It's that simple. Avoid at all costs. oh, and you can put your house on it being an essedon home game. Another reason to say piz off.
  15. People are too sentimental some times. Trengove is currently one of the slowest midfielders to play the modern game. The game is evolving into an end-to-end, slingshot affair, with manic defensive pressure the full length of the ground. If Trenners is not used as an attacking option, he is finished as a top lever footballer, because if his opponent isn't limping with a broken leg, he is incapable of catching anyone.
  16. You have my vote. If I could ever be bothered doing the research, I would have felt vindicated in posting exactly what you just did. We need Hogan to stay.
  17. Wow, enlightening. I Hadn't heard that before. And not many have been brave enough to label him with those terms either. Personally, I'm a huge fan, but see him as a CHF, not a F.F Fyfe if fit again, would be what I would expect if he moves on. At least you have the nuts to put your rep on the line. Kudos.
  18. I think the time is rapidly approaching for a "The Nat Fyfe thread"
  19. But how do you know he hasn't been offered the contract that "yips free" Hogan would have been offered? As sensible as your post is, we are all still guessing as to what is happening in the background.
  20. Agree totally. It shows the ridiculous levels of power now belonging to the damn AFLPA. I would be in favour of a much reduced minimum spend. Say 70% of cap. Teams like us of the past 10 years paying almost identical money to the Hawks, is one of the reasons we have been on the bottom the whole time. Ridiculous, and needless. Purely and simply, astonishing greed from the players association, and weak submission by the AFL.
  21. Probably forgot the onion. They appreciate the finer details more than we do.
  22. Apologies. I actually meant the O.P. It's natural to reply to an idiotic opening post in the manner that most do. This is a very delete-worthy thread.
