  1. hey hey! ho ho! new ba - lance has got to go! hey hey! ho ho!
  2. Beyond any reasonable doubt. They are attempting to choose their own timetable again, in order to mitigate their own measly penalties. ASADA, pull your finger out of your coight.
  3. Which is why I said "if true" I can't believe ASADA would agree to it, although obviously we don't have all of the facts. I will spew if it turns out the AFL went off on their own in an attempt to play it their way, although I need a solid slap up the side of the head for being the least bit surprised.
  4. Agree, lets not derail with a circle argument that nobody will ever give ground on. Btw, I didn't consider it flippant. As for the AFL and it's highly predictable spineless carpet sweep, lets hope WADA doesn't look the other way and think they can spend their money on better things.
  5. If it is indeed true, I wonder if ASADA has run it by big brother yet?
  6. Yeah, it's money much better spent on the big ticket issues like gay marriage. The AFL signed up to the WADA code under threat from the Feds, but at every single turn, do "whatever it takes" to sweep breaches of the code under a rug. This is no different from the essedon scandal. Hit 'em hard WADA. Edit for a question to the legal minds, from the italics highlighted. As the LOSER of the case, wasn't essedon made to pay all of the legal costs? If that was the case, it's no impost on the taxpayer at all.
  7. If they don't then they can't blame people for thinking they are toothless. Starts with ASADA. Back to you Ben.
  8. my original post contained similar wording, but I did an edit because I thought it was too predictable.
  9. I would have thought they would be bubbling with excitement at the 2 new marquee signings, but no, appears some are not satisfied with the upcoming 2017 flag.
  10. He served a 1 year suspension for drug cheating, and had to hand back his illegally won brownlow. The history books will not include the insane writing of slobbo etc.
  11. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-11-12/tiger-board-battle-flares-again Another board challenge. They never fail to amaze.
  12. Moonie, when a horse is disqualified from a horse race, how many times has no winner been declared? Mitchell and Cotchin are rightful winners, and should receive all of the fanfare that goes with winning. They should definitely sue for lost earnings, but of course they wont.
  13. I have always shaken my head at @Satyriconhome and his approach to ASADA/WADA, but if this proves to be a true story, I will need to defer to his superior assessment of the anti drugs establishment. Simply cannot believe ASADA will agree to this, considering what has been reported on this subject. It must be a full penalty. 4 years for all.
  14. Surely there are other issues behind it other than a simple change of mind. I trust the current Footy team to make the correct decision, although I would be annoyed if the young fella has been told we will take him ala Rory Sloane, then simply decided on someone else without good reason.
  15. Have you noticed if they speed up when running past Saty? Curious.
  16. You seem to be spotting them ok Redbeard. Thanks for the updates.
  17. Sickening. One wonders what would need to happen before the afl would enforce the full penalty. I would think nothing short of a player blowing up Gil's house with an underground meth lab.
  18. Bin tang ... Bit tongue in cheek .....
  19. I see Trenners as gone at end of season. Just so so slow, and showing zero signs of improvement. Such a shame, as his hands are fantastic. If Neal-Bullen is strictly an inside mid, he will struggle for game time unless we have a horrendous injury run.
  20. Looking forward to seeing Smith. You certainly seem excited by him. Have you seen anything of our other rookie? Maynard?
  21. Agree about Neal-Bullen. Just does not seem to have one trait that shows as above average. Maybe there is a role for a bloke who can run the length of the ground all day, but I can't figure out what that might be. I LOVED what I saw from Frost late in the season, when he was not asked to play deep forward. He has every tool except the elite footy brain, and seems to run himself into trouble at times. Not sure how to fix this, but hopefully more experience will teach him how to take the correct option first time. I'm not quite as sold on Salem as some, but he was very impressive in his last game (From memory) Simply needs to find a way to get his hands on the ball more often. Also don't think he is a shutdown defender, at least not yet. That's why players like Jetta are so important in my eyes. Also Hibberd. He is what I hope Salem will become. Hard, can shut his man down, pinpoint disposal, and gets the ball heaps.
  22. I haven't seen the agility required from Wagner to shut down the likes of Betts and similar players. Jetta is not fast, but can change direction fairly quickly, and use this to cut off angles. Also agree with the physicality query. Have not seen one minute of Smith, but he would need to be different from his old man, to run with Betts/Wingard.
  23. Essedon would win every game by 1000!
  24. Darryn Randall Struck on the head by a ball 27 October 2013 Phillip Hughes Struck on the neck by a ball 27 November 2014 The guys above would disagree, although I am probably being a little harsh towards the intent of your post.
