I work in mining, and see many instances of work related illnesses/injuries (and fatalities) AFL does not deserve a special mention Ernie. They are not doing it tougher than most other occupations, but they certainly do enjoy more "benefits" than most of us.
-
A rationally thinking person would not post something like that. Boy needs help, big time.

When you're not posting dorky songs, I enjoy your contributions Ted. Agree 100%

I'm with Abe and Nasher on this one. I didn't see the attack on the ball that some did, and he looked lost at times, although mainly as the season faded. Congrats to him, and good luck.

Both would have flogged Trengove in a sprint. Poor kid is cooked.

Agree with the AVB assessment, although I would like to see him play midfield more often. Harmes - Meh, don't see much at all to be honest. Needs to improve his skills and awareness. Trengove - Being the slowest midfielder I have ever seen on an AFL ground does nothing to instill any confidence in his future. Delist next year imo. Consider running a spellcheck next time Dedogtor. Good post otherwise.

Nobody cares about the Bledisloe cup, but I guess Kiwis need to hitch their wagon to something. Tiny following of Ex Uni students in this country. Yawn. As for the gift?

Should we still be selling games interstate?

After seeing the interview with Jacko after one of this years games, it became clear to me that the AFL is forcing this onto us. He said something along the lines of (not verbatim) The AFL arranged the games, and we were the beneficiary of it. I sensed a sarcastic undertone, and was a little surprised when he said it. -
They think of everything Spoff, so you will almost certainly get a training session or a practice match up there. You will have to make do with that, and watching us play finals live on T.V

I actually don't see a real problem with this. Whenever a rule is established, it has an "intent" behind it that is almost never put into print, as you cannot write specific clauses for every possible permutation. Jut because it is unwritten, doesn't mean that isn't what they intended the rule to be. I'm sure you will see a continuation of this "new" policy, that every other club can take advantage of.

Same thing with dusty Martin. Blame the sheila, because she doesn't bring people through the gate.

The AFL exists to make money. They don't care who is involved, as long as they increase income. Cannot see that ever changing, and that's why ASADA/WADA need to come over the top and enforce the full 4 year ban, on ALL parties. My only emotion for anyone in this new saga is the poor girl who passed the info on. When will we bloody well learn to stop buck passing onto the whistle blower, and target the offenders?
-
History Nash. It's that simple. I would prefer this, than meeting the returning drug cheat heroes. They will get a huge emotional boost from the pre game hype. Hope the Hawks smash them.

It's the team that plays in rd 1, not the fans, so false bravado is meaningless and worthless. Some take the essedon approach. If we say it loud enough for long enough, it will come true. It doesn't. It's time the TEAM toughened up, and stopped losing against the Saints, and at Etihad (and other times of course). Then you will see more people talking up our chances, instead of simply stating the plain cold hard facts, in that we always seem to find a way to lose the unlosable when it comes to playing in a given set of circumstances.. .

Wrong. It's in the rules, so it undeniably IS their business. I'm happy to see the players tested every week. Weed out the druggos

Would not be upset if he blew it up again. eff O'Meara, and eff the hawks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA

Not everyone, but I get what you mean. -
Take a look at their list. It's horrific. http://www.richmondfc.com.au/players/senior-players Stupid players trot out the same stuff every time they change clubs. Just once, say, "yeah, they offered a bucket load, and I couldn't say no" May not see finals for the 5 year term of his contract.
-
Sounds like another off season 6 month penalty coming up then.
-
I would like to see a 4 year ban, if the evidence is as damning as is being reported. Would not trade for him under any circumstances.

He isn't that miserable in person. Actually thinking about it, I was quite pickled at the time......Fairly sure I saw him smile briefly though. -

My point is that the players I highlighted are far from elite kicks. Somehow people are of the opinion that being a lefty must mean you are a good kick Those players prove that thinking to be wide of the mark. CBF looking through other clubs lists, but we have been known as one of the least skilled kicking teams for a very long time now. Hibberd and Lewis are great pick ups for that very reason. I wouldn't call Tyson an elite kick over ANY distance. -

A fully fit O'Meara, Mitchell, Fyfe, Martin. That's quite a midfield. With the big coin that O'Meara/Mitchell/Hackory have been signed up on this year, I cannot for the life of me see how they could possibly afford Fyfe and Dusty also. If we couldn't, how the hell could they? -

Probably the least elite collection of left foot kicks in the AFL. -
Just finishing off his MaiTai, Tuktuk is waiting.........
