  1. Thanks, I was going to ask the same thing. Only been to the G once before for a final in 2018, just took what I could get then. I'm sure Marty would agree, any other advice would be appreciated.
  2. Thanks Dw, I'll look those up. The Arbory sounds good with some good food and a nice wine before the walk 🙂.
  3. Thought I would bump this thread and see if there was anymore news locally about ticket sales? I am looking to come down for my second ever game at the MCG for the flag unfurling. My other game was the 2018 final v Hawthorn so ticketing was a lot easier back then. I would also like to ask some advice from anyone willing to give it about areas of the ground that are usually mostly Melbourne supporters. Also is it actually a 6pm start Mebourne time is that just my computer messing with my QLD location? The last question I have is where is a good place for a prematch drink with like minded Dees supporters. We will be staying on the CBD and walking to the ground. In Brisbane it's the Pineapple hotel for us. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks.
  4. There would be no irony in the that unless you had as bad a right boot as my left was.
  5. Dw, a twin of me is probably too much for the world bear! (Cue Demonstone, I didn't know which spelling of bare was the correct one in this instance)
  6. Hey, me too!! You aren't me are you?
  7. Glandular Fever can take a long time to fully recover from and get over. He may still have some lingering effects that will impede his his initial progress. We may need to be a little patient with him if he doesn't develop as we hope to start with. It might be a little like when Salem arrived; we had to sought his underlying issues before his fitness came on in leaps and bounds. I think he will be worth the wait.
  8. The place I drive past is in the back streets of Everton Park. Gives me a rye smile of contentment every time.
  9. Nice, I haven't seen those in my travels around the northern suburbs.
  10. Still seeing it around the place. You don't have 2018 member's sticker on your bin, and scarves hanging from your balcony do you?
  11. If Lukosious didn't play for the Suns he would be much more highly regarded.
  12. Thought Carris did some nice things. Should settle well into the comp.
  13. Ok you got me. Who is Disco?
  14. Wow, that would cause a melt down for the Saints supporters. First Trac then a discarded Dunstan. I'll settle for him playing a few good games with improvements in his weaknesses at the Saints. That will still get them restless.
  15. In previous years round 6 would equate to about 2 games for Casey. Hope they sort that VFL shortfall out.
  16. Good on Trenners though. Nice bloke and I hope his wedding was great. And timing could be much worse.
  17. In their successful years the Hawks had Ryan Shoenmakers bubbling away as a handy back back up fwd and back but never really cementing a place. Worst case, Weid could be our version. Hitting the right window of development, can be useful in the ruck, I think he will be well suited to the backline as well if required. Hope for stardom, but will settle for good long term back up and clubman.
  18. Let's hope it becomes Van watching his progress then. **I'll see myself out......
  19. I got it for my dees mad daughter. She got me a premiers beach towel. I can't wait to share her present, but the towel is all mine.
  20. I'll be honest, I don't know. I am not a great font of prose. But I am just glad you are posting again Rollo. Don't be a stranger. Bring on 2022!!
  21. Article on the club's website with all the award winners says 4 coaches give players votes between 0-10 after every game
  22. Please post more Rollo, but I must admit I'm not a fan of you 3rd verse. Hope you are well Go Dees.
  23. I just post date what you mean. But we did have a double tape deck soo....
