PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Unfortunately no glofer, but I like the Resort and the clubhouse and only a short walk to Metricon and back. Heard great things about St Andrews.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
I have to get the tickets for Metricon tomorrow. Booked Royal Pines a month or so ago. Good start to the year before relying on Kayo again!!

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Similar plans for us BD, arrive just after 1030 and stow the bags in the hotel. I then have to take Mrs Right Foot Snap for Yum Cha then we can hit some traditional pubs on the way to the ground. We also have to detour to the Rebel in the city as my big order from the demon shop a month ago isn't going to make it in time. Dworship suggested the Arbory which looks really good, but we are going to save that for lunch on thur or Friday. Any pub suggestions with like minded people would be be welcomed. Second time going to the G and very excited.

Farewell Neville Jetta
Good luck Nev, you little champion. Think he will make a great assistant coach.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Given his concussion history he is always not far from being one big hit away from being finished. If he got the chance to maximise his next contract, where ever that is, then good luck to him. I would love for him to stay but his next contract should be his best pay day. Hope it's with us but he has paid his dues and if it's better for him personally to move then good luck to him. I think he is smart enough to love the club but also be pragmatic about his future.

2021 Premiership Flag unfurling for Round 1 against Bulldogs
Watched Trenners on Open Mike on Kayo the other night. Extremely good bloke who doesn't shy away from owning his situation. I always thought he would make a good coach but he chose a very different and less volatile path. The club would be better if he could have been involved for longer.

2022 Tickets Thread
Gandalf, I was an armchair member too because we generally can never get to games. I rang the membership department and they suggested I upgrade to a 3 game membership. Difference was only $30 and that was the same amount I saved on my seat ($20 for me and $50 for my wife as a guest). All sorted within half an hour once I got through. Might be a good way to beat the rush on the morning.

Ring the membership department and they will send it to you. Was on hold for quite a while (to be expected today) but they were really quick to respond when I got through.

Thanks Roy, my Lonely Planet Melbourne book doesn't cover the covid world.

Does Victoria have its own QR code sign I'm app and can you link it to Medicare for the Vax proof. I assume sign in and proof is still required for bars and restaurants and the QLD app won't suffice down there. Wow, haven't left the state for so long now!!

Thanks, I was going to ask the same thing. Only been to the G once before for a final in 2018, just took what I could get then. I'm sure Marty would agree, any other advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Dw, I'll look those up. The Arbory sounds good with some good food and a nice wine before the walk 🙂.

2022 Tickets Thread
Thought I would bump this thread and see if there was anymore news locally about ticket sales? I am looking to come down for my second ever game at the MCG for the flag unfurling. My other game was the 2018 final v Hawthorn so ticketing was a lot easier back then. I would also like to ask some advice from anyone willing to give it about areas of the ground that are usually mostly Melbourne supporters. Also is it actually a 6pm start Mebourne time is that just my computer messing with my QLD location? The last question I have is where is a good place for a prematch drink with like minded Dees supporters. We will be staying on the CBD and walking to the ground. In Brisbane it's the Pineapple hotel for us. Any advice would be very appreciated. Thanks.

There would be no irony in the that unless you had as bad a right boot as my left was.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Glandular Fever can take a long time to fully recover from and get over. He may still have some lingering effects that will impede his his initial progress. We may need to be a little patient with him if he doesn't develop as we hope to start with. It might be a little like when Salem arrived; we had to sought his underlying issues before his fitness came on in leaps and bounds. I think he will be worth the wait.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
The place I drive past is in the back streets of Everton Park. Gives me a rye smile of contentment every time.

Still seeing it around the place. You don't have 2018 member's sticker on your bin, and scarves hanging from your balcony do you?

If Lukosious didn't play for the Suns he would be much more highly regarded.
