  1. http://www.afl.com.au/Video/tabid/76/video...px#VideoPlayerB Finally we have something!
  2. I thought his clearance work was the most impressive aspect of his game. He seemed smart with his handball and his kicking looked solid. The question mark I have is how much ball will he accumulate around the ground that doesn't come from stoppages?
  3. I find Cheney gets caught ball watching a lot and loses his man. He will need to fix this aspect of his game if he is to make it. Has some other good qualities but at this stage of his career it is a glaring weakness and due to the position he plays on the ground it often proves costly.
  4. Do you personally think he could make it in the AFL as a key forward? As in a Full Forward or Centre Half Forward. Sounds like it's a tough one to answer, it's just you're the only one on this board that has seen any sort of footage of him!
  5. Oh ok fair enough. We don't ever really hear them announce their June end of finacial year result. Maybe I just don't have my ears pricked though. So the figure all clubs seem to announce about this time of year, is that a 12 month result or just a opertating result over the course of the season (about 7 month period)? Any idea?
  6. but don't they post their profit/loss figures at the end up the season? I thought it works differently in the AFL industry
  7. Hmmm so was I right in what I was saying? I think I was
  8. The stadiums deal should really ease some pressure you would think. However it will have no effect on this years profit and loss as it doesn't come into effect until next year.
  9. He is making all the right noises. That description sounds very appealing. Going only off my internet knowledge, if Butcher is not there at 11 I'm hoping we draft Black.
  10. Probably people who think we should pick up another Jurrah, cos they grow on trees n all
  11. How much do you know about Black? Pretty keen to hear about him as no one really knows much about him
  12. We were lucky that Liam got a late exemption into the PSD. Highly doubt this will occur again this year
  13. You might be right, but I don't think it would be worth the risk considering we probably wouldnt get a heap for him
  14. Big chance the Gold Coast won't want him and then we will need to keep him on the list another year (maybe he will earn it?) or pay him out.
  15. Fev deal is done according to this website http://twitter.com/Whitey927 Pick 12 and Lachlan Henderson apparently
  16. Mate, I didn't direct who cares at you, I directed at why do people care if there is a new thread about it. I am all for making a new thread about a trade that has gone through. I just can't understand why it is such a big deal to people
  17. If they are getting rid of Wojinski because of salary cap pressures they may have some interest in Buckley to play his role. Is Buckley and pick 34 too much?
  18. I can't believe how keen I am to draft Black. I have never seen him play, not even a highlights package. Every word I have read about him has been positive. Not a single negative word. Surely there is someone out there that has seen him play???
  19. I had his number on my back at the start of his 2nd year, my mates even still give me [censored] about how my man crush left. I certainly believed he would be a gun for us. However I can also see that there wasnt much we could do to make him stay. What example are you going to set letting him go for nothing into the PSD???? It does nothing!!! What the hell did Port gain out of doing it with Stevens?? Do you reckon they will do it again with Burgoyne, cos if they do, we benefit, not them at all. Surely you can see that you gain absolutely nothing out of been stubborn and setting an example!! Don't kid yourself
  20. You have got to be kidding about knocking Murphy out of their midfield. Thompson wanted to go home. Fact of life is that their wasn't really anything we could do about it. At that stage Melb supporters could see the immense potential, but he was effectively a young talent who was very injury prone. We got pick 12 which was no tradgedy. Simmonds, really don't think that one hurt us a great deal. No world beater. Jolly, we got a first round pick for him, I was actually impressed we got that considering he was our back up ruck. A potential midfield of Moloney, Jones, Davey, Grimes, Sylvia, Trengrove and Scully. Then players like Blease, Strauss and Morton we hope will run through there. Mclean is a very similiar type to Moloney and Jones. Grimes and Sylvia are both going to also be hard bodies in the middle. I also think with a bit more strength Mckenzie could be another good inside type of midfielder. I honestly don't think trading Mclean out is going to be such the dramatic move that you are making it out to be. While pick 11 is unproven, in this market place that is the best you are going to get for Mclean. There is a very good chance we are going to get a quality player with it as well. I hardly think we are a joke of a club for doing this trade.
  21. Maybe Shane Mumford or Mark Blake from Geelong? They are both uncontracted according to Neil Balme
  22. Confirmed on SEN by Tim Harrington, Brock for pick 11
  23. I would prefer Mclean for 11 rather than putting Buckley and 43 in the mix. I just don't think with picks 1,2,11,18 and 34 that we really need pick 43. Lets hope they keep their word on the original Mclean deal
  24. I don't see why we would want to get rid of Buckley for pick 43? What are we going to get at this stage of the draft that will be better than holding onto Buckley? I think people are getting too carried away with draft picks.
