Ed Langdon the (Inside) Midfielder
Hmmm, Langdon trialling as mid and Goody says we have found a nugget. He said similar after seeing Disco play a half forward in the VFL and played well in his 1st 2 AFL games. Having said that I think Langdon would be used as a 'mix it up' rotation with a few others as a mid.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
I have seen Jeffo at training and he has the body size now. He will play games at AFL level this year for sure IMO. Not so sure whether it will be round 1 though.

Jeez how good is Harvey Langford looking!
Maybe something out of left field like Harvs or Langers or a combo Hangers.🤣

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Saw Jeffo running laps and he is a good size now. Not sure when he will be right for full training but he will get his chance this coming season to play AFL. AJ looked pretty good in match sim. Gets has hands and knees dirty when the ball hits the ground. Took a good grab and kicked from just outside 50 with no problem. As you would expect he could not get near Campbell in the ruck. Competes well and has 2nd and 3rd efforts. We will know more when we have a full scale practice game or 2. As an aside Mentha looked ok. Quick, gets good position on the outside. Will need some VFL time. Has potential. Some regular track watchers said he has improved immeasurably since his 1st sessions.

Training Ground?
Gees its boring waiting for training to start.

The Kalani White Thread
I do not have a '2nd team' but i have 'soft spots' for teams from time to time. Usually under dogs but definitely not when they are playing against the Dee's.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
If GC make the 8 they can only bid on 2 Academy players. I think Kalani will nominate us in any case.

Better to be a happy clapper than a nappy crapper who 'dumps' you know what on their team and players. I much prefer to be and remain positive.

The Kalani White Thread
JT said Kalani had terrific athletic ability and his football steadily improves. That is good enough for me.

The Kalani White Thread
If GC make the 8 they are restricted to 2 nominations. They have 2 likely 1st round mid type players plus Kalani who at this stage may be a 3rd or late 2nd rounder???

Training Ground?
Could start with a voluntary add on contribution when memberships renewed etc?
-
Training Ground?
There may have to be a fundraiser at some stage?

The Kalani White Thread
I think we will pick him up. Over 200cm now and JT said he was steadily improving and a terrific athlete. Good development prospect.

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
Left field pick up but after the Initial surprise most posters are coming around to the reasoning behind picking AJ. His playing style will keep him involved in a game. Just as there are inside and outside mids there are also inside and outside KPFs. The insiders stay involved via contest, crashing packs and physicality. JVR is an inside KPF who can also play outside We got Kentfield as an inside KPF but he is still learning the caper.

Obviously targeted by JT. Goody was so happy he visited AJ at home. A crash and bash enforcer with athletic ability and raw but natural country footy skills. Sort of going back to the Dee's 'take no [censored]' of the mid/late 80's. We are obviously looking to toughen up the forward half.

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
193 cms is fine for a crash and bash back up Ruckman. JVR is back up at 193 cms. JVR crashes packs forward and provides a crash and physical approach to rucking. Back up ruck crashers and bashers are not there for their looks or ability to finess hit outs to mids. If Gawn goes down his back up now is Cambell. If JVR goes down AJ or maybe Kentfield would be considered as a back up. He may not get a game but heaps of listed players in the AFL don't.
