WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

Assuming Boyd doesn't go to the Doggies meaning GWS would take Wright as the nearest equivalent! -

I'd be happy with either scenario (though slightly attracted to B&P developed into two superstars by Roos! -
Option 1 and/or option 4! Beams is sure to end up at Brisbane!

I reckon Wright won't last until 5. -

Puts them ahead of us for Cockatoo if we use 12 in the draft instead of trading. He is an exciting talent in my book and also has a bit of size about him. -
As far as the perennial Nic Natanui comparisons go, both players boasted very similar positions in their respective Club's B&F counts!

Frightening thought that Collingwood have worked their way into pick 5! -
No reason that his status as captain should preclude him being traded if it is the best for the Club. I would be more than happy for N. Jones as our sole captain.p.s. I like the irony of you featuring Jack Watts' jumper on your avatar.
-
So I gather that you are a massive advocate of keeping Grimes ahead of the other three Jacks (which was my point in case you missed it)?
-
Personally if we are trading our Jacks out of the Club, I would rather see co-captain Jack Grimes as the first to be traded. To me, both Watts and Trengove have too much latent potential which I would hate to see emerge at another Club.p.s. Jack Fitzpatrick is other Jack with a big upside who fits into the same category.

So effectively Richmond exchange Conca for Trengove and improve their draft place by one! -

A well thought analysis/ comparison. I too would be very happy to use our two picks in the draft to pick up Petracca and Brayshaw! -

I am overseas and cannot listen. Can you tell us what's said? -
Hawthorn have advised Adelaide that if wish to have Kyle Cheney then they are prepared to accept a straight swap for Dangerfield!
-
Why didn't they declare their interest a few years ago when he played for us? We could have done a straight swap for Dangerfield or Sloane!

Little chance of that happening if Boyd goes to the Bulldogs and their third key tall forward (Patton) is injured, -

Interesting article especially the talk of trading Toumpa, barely a week after Goodwin stated definitely that he is a required player! Personally I would like to keep both him and Watts as part of our future plans. -

That would complicate things somewhat unless we ditched talking with Geelong and offered Mitch to the Pies as a straight swap! -
As l understand (from the Age) that Geelong may be getting pick 21 from Brisbane for Christianson, maybe we should be demanding that when we send send MC to Geelong as part of the complex multi-club that secures us HL from Collingwood? Otherwise why not merely swap MC to Collingwood for HL ( if Geelong is not prepared to pay what he is worth )?

I refuse to believe that Melbourne will do a multi club deal that only sees us with HL in return for Mitch Clark. Surely Mitch as a power forward is worth more ( such as a second round pick 21 from Geelong that they may get from Brisbane for Chistianson)! Otherwise why not do a direct swap with him to Collingwood? -
Not a bad highlight reel (6 goals) especially the sling tackle on Grimes! He certainly knows how to find the goals!

I fully agree with you however the reality is that there are few on our list that would similarly command pick 12 that we would wish to get rid of (e.g. N. Jones, Tyson, etc)! -

Yes out of the thousands of Islands that make up the Indonesian Archipelago, l guess that you are right! I suppose that they happened to book into the same restaurant on the same night? -

I agree that Roos is likely to draft Brayshaw but l don't agree that neither him or Petracca are going to impact before 2018/2019; just look at Ollie Wines in his first two years! Also, whilst you have acknowledged that Salem will be twice the player next year than he was this year, the same can be said of Toumpas ( plus we are still to showcase Hogan )! I am hopeful that we can get both Brayshaw and Petracca and l am similarly sure that, by the end of the Trade Period and the Drafts, Roos will have the basis assembled for an effective and structurally sound team! -
Particularly when 2MP is as imposing as Clark, younger and a good kick!
