  1. People talk about Toumpas emerging at last but we also have Salem to make a real impact and i am confident that those two will surprise a lot of Demonlanders after the benefit of a second pre-season. Also we have both Harnes and Hunt who we have yet to see anything of yet!
  2. Wright can kick!
  3. Evans?
  4. yes and Jetta, Dunn and [hopefully] Garland will also help! [with cameos from Grimes and Georgiou]
  5. I see Wright as having more upside thay Boyd for a fraction of the price. if we get him and Brayshaw we have an excellent basis moving forward, with a top midfielder and KPF. To me there is no question. Just leave it to Roos, Goodwin and Stone and we will have two champions!
  6. We are committed to use our Round Three for Stretch: no options!
  7. Don't necessarily agree! They have a better midfield than many Clubs but suddenly they have two out of three of their gun forwards in doubt. Whatever way you look at it, they will be minus one and possibly two KPFs short in 2015.
  8. Gladly to consider next time however all flights and transfers are in place and confirmed!
  9. Haven't heard of Robinson for Blease but I am not adverse to the idea. Robinson and Garlett could head up our Entertainment Committee!
  10. If GWS get pick 1 then they very well may draft Wright or McCartin, given that Patton is out for the year and Boyd is threatening to leave (even if it turns out to be next year)!
  11. East Africa not West Africa thankfully!
  12. Gentlemen (and Ladies), Let us have supreme faith in the ability of Roos, Goodwin and Stone ( assisted by Misson ) getting whoever we pick cherry ripe for the start of the 2015 season. Given the physical development of the touted top four, I see no reason why any of them are not hot to trot for Round one and able to make a similar impact that Wines had for PA this year! Plus we have (virtually) new recruits in Salem, Hogan, Stretch, JKH and Toumpas added to the mix.
  13. If Bucks met Varcoe in Bali, who is there for Roos to meet in Hawaii?
  14. There is a lot of sense in this however if we have first choice of the talls (after grabbing Brayshaw with 2) then I would be more tempted by Wright ahead of McCartin. McCartin reminds me a bit of Hogan where as Wright reminds me more of Mitch. In essence, by drafting Wright, we might have a similar forward structure to what we envisaged having this year, with the additions of Brayshaw, Stretch etc as additions to our midfield depth!
  15. Brayshaw and either Petracca, Wright or McCartin! (Assuming we go into it with picks 2 & 3)
  16. Sam Blease for HL Mitch Clark for Travis Varcoe!
  17. I am making my way out of remote Africa in a few hours and not arriving back in Melbourne ( or in touch with the internet ) until Wednesday evening. I certainly hope that the trade is well and truly done by this time (in addition to the big mega trade and maybe even Frost)! Happy posting everybody until then!
  18. Maybe he wouldn't oppose it if they assured him that they planned to on-forward him to the Cats in exchange for Varcoe! Same three-way trade only happening in reverse order!
  19. Cross, Jones, Vince, Dunn, Jamar - we have a few who can lead by example rather than importing someone primarily for this reason. We also have a much better coaching structure than we have had for many years who also fulfil a mentoring role.
  20. I am surprised in the lack of faith that Roos, Goodwin and Stone cannot bring picks 2 & 3 on relatively quickly to have an impact in 2015. Each of this year's top four already have developed bodies even before a pre-season and there is no reason that they shouldn't be regarded as any less likely than what we all saw with Wines this season!
  21. Simple: we swap Mitch Clark straight to Collingwood for HL! They wouldn't be upset to have Mitch in their forward line with Cloke!
  22. Happy to accept 21 for Clark and the on-trade 23 to the Pies for HL!
  23. I think that the Bulldogs would be more responsive if they threw Boyd into the Griffen trade. I think that we can relax. GWS aren't stupid and they have had more experience than most Clubs doing trades these last few years (plus they need to retain a good relationship with their preferred trading partners)!
  24. Whilst Garlett (& Stretch) come in we are still to confirm the services of either Frost or HL though l concede that it is highly likely that we will secure both. Personally, my view is that if we don't do a super trade a la last year, then we could do a lot worse than holding picks 2 & 3. Considering the calibre of the top four on offer, we look to be a much stronger unit next year after Roos, Goodwin, Stone and Misson have finished putting our two selections through their first pre-season (as they each already boast mature bodies).
