Was disappointed that Belly's second efforts against Welsh didn't get a nom. or even a mention in the Army awards.

Some simple googling will locate pretty much anything you want (my test google search brought up Saturday's game as the first result) but it's probably best not to discuss torrents of football games or link directly to them from Demonland, as far as i know the AFL are still doing the name-a-game request thing, and we wouldn't want the AFL to think Demonland is actively supporting downloading and distribution of games they are currently selling... I'm sure they wouldn't care about a request or two for people to see our first win in three months, but better to err on the side of caution.

I'll be there to watch Hermione... err.. i mean, Dale Thomas and friends brushed aside by a hard-at-it, first-to-the-ball, more-hyphens-please Demons outfit that's finally playing four quarters of aggressive, contested football. I'll bet Robbo will relish being released from the clamp that he usually gets from Clement too. Dees by 12 points.

Currently posting this from a net cafe on Rundle St, as i've gone over to Adelaide to watch Hawks v Port with my girlfriend. Flew over Saturday night with the Dees scarf on loud and proud, got some really dirty looks from the crows fans, but that was half the fun! I wasn't the only Melbourne supporter travelling over to Adelaide, a young family we sat next to in the departure lounge said that they were going over for the weekend, but their two little girls wanted to wear their Demons jumpers to "rub it in'. I like their spirit. At the Hawks game, I wore my Dees jacket loud and proud, and when the scores for the Melb/Adel game came up, i stood up, pointed my fingers to the sky, i cheered, i clapped, i shouted, i got called a w*nker and told to **** off back to victoria, i was told i was inbred, i was told to go home, and i loved it. We are Melbourne and we are proud.

As somebody who's had the misfortune of watching Melb vs West Coast at Subi, Freo supporters at home must be REALLY bad.

As long as we have more woohoo goals, i'm happy!

I went to Hawthorn vs Essendon and although Alwyn is very quick off the mark in the mould of his brother, i get the feeling that he would snap like a twig should somebody lay a good solid hit on him. During the second quarter he took a looped handball pass (a-la Hird when Wheels hit him) and there was a large bodied Hawk in the vicinity, while he wasn't smashed in that incident (the player went for the ball as well instead of putting a hip and shoulder in) i actually did fear for his safety. On the other hand though, we probably thought the same thing with Aaron came on the scene!

Any chance somebody can detail the mark for me? I was too busy to go to the game today, I avoided the radio and set a tape, but the tape ran out mid-way through the third quarter!

Yelling and supporting too loud? How else are the boys supposed to hear you when they're 150metres away? Sheesh! Probably a good thing that official hasn't seen me in the past, i had a random Carlton supporter at the final last year vs St Kilda who was at the game with a friend commend me on the volume and support i gave for the boys. Then again, earlier in the day she said "Who's the old man wearing number 9 for Melbourne?"

I know that if they had the option (which of course they don't, progress and all that) i'd be sticking with the text only version.. if only for the reason that we'd created a spreadsheet in excel that would download the stats page and you'd have up to date fantasy footy scores!

My issue with that free is that in a contest where they're barely paying any free kicks at all, why pay a soft one? Plenty more contests were identical during less crucial parts of the game.

Big points to everybody in the crowd today. The boys would have heard us getting behind them today, and been better for it. It's just unfortunate that it took until the ball was in the middle of the ground after the Davey 'goal' for us to realise that he hadn't got it, and even then it took the scoreboard to believe it!

I'll be disgusted if Byron gets weeks after Burgoyne almost decapitates a sainter in the wet, Headland thumps somebody, admits it and gets off, Goodes punches somebody from behind and it's okay, Hodge puts a player out for a month and gets off... oh the list goes on. The way Channel 7 were calling it though, you'd think he picked him up and threw him head-first into the fence!

The holding the ball decision he paid against us in the first quarter was unbelievable. Another umpire was standing ballside 10m away watching calling play on, and this clown has blown his whistle from 30m away through the pack. Unbelievable.

My sentiments exactly. Perhaps he's not as skilled as some of our other players, but while we're the walking wounded, i want go'ers in my team.

We'll win today.
