  1. Just watched the replay last night. I can't believe Jesse has only played 7 games. He is absolutely amazing. My heterosexuality is now seriously in doubt.
  2. Thanks all, smart replay is working :D
  3. I've never come across this before, but the AFL site now requires a live pass to watch replays? I used to watch them all the time last year without one. Does anyone know where I can watch the replay? Was unfortunate to miss it and I really wanted to watch it today
  4. You forget ManDee, it would be an Australian production, no doubt bankrolled by Channel 9. Casting as follows: James Hird - Lachie Hulme Paul Little - Lachie Hulme Dean Robinson - Lachie Hulme Mark Thompson - Lachie Hulme Stephen Dank - Lachie Hulme Shane Charters - Lachie Hulme Andrew Demetriou - Lachie Hulme Special guest appearance by Lachie Hulme as Gillan Maclachlan
  5. That's really disappointing. I was looking forward to his "I told you so" post when WADA chose not to appeal. Oh wait.
  6. Just on that, why DO Carlton get so many Friday night games? Just curious, not looking for a gotcha moment or anything.
  7. Hard to believe they could have gotten away with 6 months backdated suspensions that would have seen them only miss 3 games. Some players will be pretty [censored] at the advice they were given on that deal. Looks like a great deal now doesn't Jobe?
  8. I would have thought there would be a lot more heat from the press on this. Do the samples really take that long to test?
  9. I read in an article the other day about the issue of GWS and CG mining talent with their crazy draft concessions and the effect that has had on CARTLON's ability to recruit. NOT US, CARLTON! But when we made the same argument last year, no press, no sympathy.
  10. As we've seen before, a top 5 pick doesn't mean you'll get a star. I'd stick with Prestia over risking trying to develop a top 5 pick.
  11. Yep, very true. I guess the big difference will always be the way in which the MFC presented him to the public. It exposed him to more scrutiny than any other draft pick.
  12. I just wanted to ask if anyone attended and what happened, if any interesting information was shared etc. I know there are a few foundation heroes on here. Must have been interesting being held so soon after the Hawks 'game'.
  13. Not sure how that'd work, given the value of a future pick could fluctuate wildly given a team's position at the end of the season. The points system makes more sense to me if they want to go down the trading of future picks route. Not sure why they'd only do it for FS and Academy.
  14. I think they're actually talking about moving to a "points" system. So where you finish on the ladder determines how many points you get, and then you "bid" points on a draft pick number. The highest bid wins. You could spend all your points to get pick 1, but then not have anything else (or I guess be forced to retain enough to have the last 2 picks to make the 3 pick minimum). So trading future picks isn't actually trading picks, it's trading points that you would then use to bid in the next year. I like the idea. I think the NFL uses a similar system.
  15. I remember reading something similar.
  16. lol, AFLPA are angry because it will cause more stress to the players: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/aflpa-extremely-disappointed-over-wadas-appeal-of-essendon-verdict-20150512-ggzgmb.html What if they're guilty AFLPA? Still worried about the stress levels of drug cheats?
  17. This frustrates me to no end (not you Ash, the media thing). We have pages and pages of discussion on why WADA would want to appeal on a fan forum for a club that isn't even involved. How can so many issues and points simply not make it into the media coverage? It seems to me after reading these threads for 2 years that WADA has EVERY reason to appeal.
  18. I wonder what Bomberblitz is like this morning
  19. I had completely forgotten about this. You're right in that it's not getting a lot of play. I think we are still waiting on B Samples?
  20. Fair enough, but even Brisbane didn't think he'd be as good as he is right now. I think his attitude was re-adjusted as a result of being booted out.
  21. Yeah but Stef was just never going to perform for us. I think he was one of those players who needed a big wake up call. Getting traded was that call.
