  1. EDIT: Sorry wrong thread While i'm here, Jack Viney to collect his 2nd Best and Fairest. 1st - J.Viney 2nd - C.Petracca 3rd - T.Rivers 4th - S.May 5th - M.Gawn Will Grundy attend tonight?
  2. Jed Adams third in the GF sprint final. Surprisingly pacey for a big man.
  3. I'd love McLean in Melbourne colours, but he re-signed until '27 about a month ago.
  4. Am I only one thinking that we should be looking at this? Surely he wouldn't eat up too much of our salary cap? Could Goldstein and Gawn play in the same team? Who knows? Saying that, I think Goldstein offers more as a forward than Grundy. But with Grundy seemingly Sydney bound, a back up ruck is a must for us in this off season. Verrell and KFW are still a minimum two seasons off senior selection and playing 20+ games a season isn't going to get any easier for Maxy. Can we sell Goldstein the idea of being a back-up or playing more of a 2nd ruck/forward role? Again, who knows? But its worth a phone call in my opinion.
  5. How good are GWS to watch at the moment? Fast, brutal, and most importantly, accurate footy
  6. I wish we still had Jesse but we probably don't win in 2021 without Steven May in defence. Sliding doors.
  7. 6. May 5. Lever 4. Spargo 3. ANB 2. Sparrow 1. Smith
  8. You'd imagine Hibberd would be sub. Would be bizarre to completely drop him after his superb shut down job on Jamie Elliot last week.
  9. With McKay out, would it be worth rolling the dice by bringing in Tomlinson and throwing May forward? Would certainly provide a better forward contest than Schache or Grundy. We're running out of options.
  10. 6. Gawn 5. Petracca 4. Bowey 3. ANB 2. Oliver 1. Viney
  11. This feels too real now. I barely slept at all last night. Here's some great pump-up material I found on YouTube at 2:30 this morning.
  12. 6. Petracca 5. Fritsch 4. Viney 3. ANB 2. Brayshaw 1. May
  13. You can't understate how impressive that win is. Swans were playing for a home final and had the emotional motivation of Buddy's farewell behind them. They were all over us in that third quarter and we slowly worked our way back into the match. Full credit to our leaders in Petracca, Gawn and Viney who kickstarted the fightback. Gotta mention Laurie as well. Had some important touches when he came on for Melk.
  14. We looked much better in that last 5 minutes. Laurie having an immediate impact.
  15. Love Chandler but he's having an absolute shocker.
  16. Port running away with this now. Fourth spot and a match up against Collingwood in week 1 of finals looks all but confirmed. EDIT: Dusty goal brings the margin back to two goals...
  17. Gee, Tex is so good to watch when he's on. 9.4 tonight takes him to 76 goals for the season. Sam Taylor has a big job on Curnow tomorrow.
  18. At the MCG today to show some visiting international friends our great game but most importantly, the joy of death riding. Go Hawks!
  19. In: Fritsch Out: Schache Laurie sub. Thought he showed some good signs today. Smith stays forward with Tomlinson playing in defence. Undecided on whether TMac gets a run or not.
  20. 6. Lever 5. Rivers 4. Melksham 3. Brayshaw 2. Sparrow 1. ANB
  21. Looking forward to seeing Laurie get a full game. Been very consistent in the VFL over the last couple months. I like the Schache sub choice. Gives us some added flexibility forward.
  22. Great flashback to game number 1. Think this was Jeremy Howe's first game to from memory. Dennis Cometti at 2:13 😄 "Oooookay..."
  23. One last roll of the dice for 'Gawndy'?
