Who the hell is our goal kicking coach!?
Demon Jack replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
This isn't just us, this has spread throughout the competition like wildfire. During one of the earlier game's today, one of the commentator's mentioned that goal kicking accuracy is currently at an all time low, and we're talking 150 years of VFL/AFL football. -

Hopefully all his flair and instinct hasn't been coached out of him already. Looked a seriously exciting player last year.

Hot start Suns!

Complete opposite to the Saints v Port game so far. Very free flowing football and decent skills on show.
-
I'd say most Demon fans are hoping the same thing! I know I am! Going two games clear of the Doggies is a very appealing thought.

Georgiades is a serious talent. Big future ahead.

What on earth has happened to goal kicking in the last month. They just mentioned on the commentary that accuracy is at a 150 year low...

Dear lord, that's the loudest GIF profanity I've ever heard.

Which MFC player have you met personally?
Demon Jack replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was working in retail a couple of years ago during Grand Final day (proudly wearing my Melbourne scarf even though we were thumped by West Coast in the prelim the week before) when I served two older gentlemen. One noticed my scarf and made mention that the other's son used to play for Melbourne some years back. Curiosity got the better of me and obviously, I couldn't help but ask who the player was. The player's name was Troy Broadbridge. Rest in Peace Troy. -
Inspiring win by North, kudos to them. West Coast are in serious trouble. A smashing against the Swans last week, and now a flat uninspiring performance at home against the favourites for the spoon. They like Richmond, are now a serious chance of missing the 8 with teams like St KIlda and Essendon nipping at their heels.

Scrimshaw and Jiath likely outs next week for Hawthorn. Getting absolutely rolled by Freo at the moment who aren't even playing that well.

Might not be next week, but I'd love to see AVB get a crack before seasons end. Was a real catalyst in our success at the end of 2018. Will be watching the VFL this afternoon with great interest.

One for the Smithsonian this one...

Essendon carving Geelong up through the midfield. Those 30+ Geelong players are really going to struggle to keep up.

Richmond's 6th worst score in their entire history

As much as its enjoyable watching Richmond lose, this has been an infuriatingly terrible game of football.

It's hard to estimate where his value sits at the moment. He clearly has talent and he's shown he can perform at the senior level, but his season to date (alongside the final month of 2020) has left much to be desired. Looking at the stats, he's only managed 4 goals from his last 9 games of senior football. He just seems totally devoid of any confidence at the moment. Marks aren't sticking, goals aren't coming and his impact on the side over the last month has been non-existent. It's hard to see him playing against the Bombers in 12 days. Like many, I'm hoping he can turn it around but the clock is ticking. On the plus side, I'm looking forward to Big Benny Brown have an extended run at full forward after the bye.

6. Jackson 5. Gawn 4. Salem 3. Jordan 2. Lever 1. Petracca

Flat, flat, flat. Never looked likely today. Countless players down on form. A slight throwback to previous years with players like Oliver and Petracca trying too hard and getting caught instead of taking the first option. Kudos to JJ and Jackson who tried hard all day. Credit to Collingwood. Pressure was outstanding for the whole game.

Believe you're thinking of this guy Alex Georgiou Played 7 games at the start of 2014 and was never heard from again after the Viney bump.

What's the most AA selections we've ever had in one season? Six would be monumental result if they all keep up their current form. -
What they're saying down at Lulie Street

Yes please. -
Another rising star this week? Sparrow had 19 touches at 80%, 5 tackles and the sealing goal. The lad can play. Glad to see he took his chance tonight.

A game clear on top of the ladder and three rising star nominations midway through the season. Yep, I think we're travelling alright.
