  1. Chandler is a jet. Absolutely nailed his role tonight. 20+ touches and 3 goals as a small forward is as elite as you'll see.
  2. Thrilled that we might finally see a Tasmanian team after decades of unsuccessful bids and pleads and get it up and running. Still, I'm unsure why a shiny new stadium is needed to seal the deal, especially reading that it's only going to have a capacity of 25k. Doesn't seem worth it to me. Why not use a fraction of the funding for the new stadium and use it to redevelop Bellerive Oval instead?
  3. Absolutely cracker of a contest at the moment. Crucial 1 on 1's everywhere.
  4. Impressive by the Bombers so far. Collingwood struggling to move the ball quickly.
  5. Fair to say the opposition isn't much chop, but Bailey Humphrey looks a real talent.
  6. Stickiest hands I've seen for a while from a mid-sized forward.
  7. Also, it pains me to admit it, but full credit to Essendon. Their pressure around the footy was unbelievable. They completely suffocated our ball movement and scoring ability.
  8. Quite possibly the worst game I've ever seen Steven May play for us in his five years at the club. Lever out with injury obviously didn't help but wowzers he was right off today. Bowey also looked shellshocked for someone usually so composed with football in hand. Viney, Langdon and Petty (second half) can hold their heads up high. Clarry did well to break away from Setterfield in the second half but many of his 41 touches were far from constructive. Also, although it's nothing we didn't already know, Grundy's lack of defensive accountability is concerning.
  9. 27 points is probably generous considering how comprehensively we were outplayed. The whole side was flat today.
  10. Nice finish Chin. Not enough of that today.
  11. We'd be trailing by 10 goals if it wasn't for Petty. Aside from that, we've been completely outplayed today.
  12. Starting 22. Jordon listed as sub again.
  13. Don't mind Jake in the side today. He'll offer more than Brown if the heavens open.
  14. Amazing how well Daniher and Hipwood play when no North defenders play within 15m of them.
  15. Shutting down Stringer will go a long way to us winning this game. Essendon don't have a wealth of tall forwards at the moment with both Wright and Weid on the sidelines, meaning Stringer will likely be their main avenue to goal. I'd almost be tempted in giving May the job if he starts forward.
  16. Another nice mark and goal by Dogga.
  17. Forget a top 4-7 pick, pick three could well be on the cards the way Fremantle are playing.
  18. Equal leading goalkickers so far this year alongside Fritsch with 9 to date. I know many here have mixed feelings about Brown, but he's been finding the middle of the big sticks this year.
  19. 6. Grundy 5. Oliver 4. Petracca 3. Viney 2. TMac 1. Rivers
  20. Thought Sparrow was 'above standard' today. Starting to his use strength to break away from tackles.
  21. Petty was probably our one negative from the day. Never looked settled in the forward line, lost some easy one-on-ones and was moved back to defence. Think BBB might have to bide his time at Casey until the opportunity presents itself
  22. Trent Rivers has arrived. 27 touches at 78% with 6 tackles.
  23. Umpires have no sense of theatre.
  24. Trac starting to emerge from his slumber.
  25. Fritsch having a field day up forward. Three goals and seven touches so far.
