Harrison Petty
Yes all the Adelaide news and media were in a frenzy. Petty playing golf with Hinge and his good mate Darcy Fogarty. Harry. Not good timing !!! Comments indicated low chance this year, likely chance next year and probably at end of 2025. Dees have been patient and built him through his early career. We couldn’t afford to have May and Petty go which is a possibility at end of 2025. Dees fans are always nervous with interstate young stars. Scott Thompson. Jeff Farmer. Jesse Hogan. Luke Jackson. Lots of go home issues with Dees players previously. In fact our games record holders are predominantly Victorians by a mile with a few Tasmanians added. Todd Viney at 233 games is the standout for his long service and ignoring the go home factor.

Welcome to Demonland: Jack Billings
Not sure we need him. Too many small forwards already and he’s not in our midfield needs. Lots of wing types with Lingers, Hunter, Woey jnr and Howes already. Plus look at add two young classy mids in Mckercher/Sanders and Wilson/Windsor. Billings likely consume salary cap $$$s. Best offer is a future 4th rounder and Saints min 1/3rd of his wage for next 2 years on contract. BTW I remain in the “no” vote for Billings.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Good post @old55 it’s exactly my thinking query… do you think we will trade out this years pick “42” as it is unlikely we will use it . It probably depends on wherever Kynan Brown gets nominated which may be around that mark. We might even look to trade “42” to Crows or West Coast for a future 3rd ?

Too Tall?
We need pace and outside run with some skilled midfielders added. Everyone on here knows that I’m looking at Sanders and Darcy Wilson with our 1st two picks (unless we weave magic and get either of the pick 1,2,or3) They are skilled players with pace and smart decision makers. Thats our priority in my view.

Last game v Lions AFLW shaping as the million dollar game. Tougher draw for the Dees. Dees back at the venue of last years GF.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs West Coast
I don’t think TAYLA was 100% last week v crows. Maybe only played because of crucial match. Definitely needs this week and next week off. Don’t want to risk her imv.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
@dazzledavey36 Thanks. Good FOX FOOTY article on draftees post the combine camp. I’d definitely be very happy with Sanders as a classy midfielder at pick 6 (7).

Welcome to Demonland: Tom Fullarton
Welcome aboard Tom. He’s got the profile that the Dees need as a forward with ability to pinch hit for 6-7 minutes in the ruck (Gawn relief). Kind of a free hit for a pick we weren’t going to use, though I thought Lions would like a future 3rd round to help with points for Levi Ashcroft next year.
