  1. Tom Barrass is a left footer, plays in the back 50, great mark (judgement) and spoils strongly. Compared to Josh Gibson in style (not looks - get it).If Edwards, Page and McKay are on AFL rookie lists in 2013, I would be amazed...
  2. minimum 4 yrs at min. $450, 000 =min $1.8 million. we have lost 3 out of 3 free agents it was not meant to work this way to "equalize" where the rich rob the poor
  3. agree with Billings but how many "jacks" can we have. I doubt Billings will dropdown to be available at pick 9. My options (in order) who I think will be available are Freeman, Lennon, Salem & Sheed.
  4. Freeman looks like a gun ... I like his confidence
  5. Freeman has a mature body, local lad, aggressive, pace to burn ... when was the last player in red and blue with these credentials. He is ready to play round 1 in 2014.
  6. yes you have your opinion and I have my opinion. Acres will not be in red and blue.
  7. Cain at pick 57 for me or a rookie. Not top 40. He is an upgrade on Magner but is a depth player.
  8. Acres is pick 12-20. Much better to choose from in top 10. Plus Acres reminds me of ... Cale Morton. yikes!
  9. http://www.scpaige.com.au/phantom-draft-october-edition/ a very good and detailed view
  10. Yes I agree with Mitch Banner. Heard that he has developed further into a inside mid. Goodoil, ... Page is a small back pocket. Not needed and definitely NOT AFL standard. Todd McKay is a SANFL standard player as well. If you dont have better options, dont shoot down others without constructive replacements.
  11. Freeman is the perfect fit for our team. He has the x Factor... real pace & aggression.
  12. agree, we will need some run and carry. That's what Nathan Freeman would offer. Hope we get that kid at pick 9.

Everyone did laugh when we called him at pick 12. Missed Atley & Darling
  14. Freeman , Lennon, Salem , Crouch ... I will be happy. No skinny ptoject types.
  15. definitely worth a rookie spot ... I did not know he was delisted
  16. Freeman is the X factor we need..and fir my son and youngsters to watch and want to follow the mighty Demons. Aggressive and pace are a good combination.
  17. likely rookies ... Matthew Sully - 195cms Full back, Geelong Cats VFL team, 21yo, good for backline depth. Tom Barrass - WA 192cms 3rd defender type like Josh Gibson. Woth the punt. Jason Pongrecic- 20 yo, Frankston VFL strong built inside mid. Plays fwd and notable goalkicker
  18. discussed with a mate who barracks for the hawks they have 10/11 profitable home games, and this is before memberships, sponsors & merchandise MFC has profitable games against Cats and Magpies. Agree with Port and Freo in NT. Home games agst Suns & Giants are financial killers. Lions at Etihad has financial loss IMO.
  19. played 5 years in Southern League for Tooronga-Malvern (1sts and 2nds). Then 3 years for Highett - mainly in the 1sts (but in 2nds at the end). I was like a Dean Laidley type before I realised I was a good average player. Finished in 1999 and then enjoyed watching the Demons march to the GF in 2000 ... never went back. At 27, my dream of an AFL career was over
  20. another opinion on Freeman ... "Freeman is incredibly quick and powerful and compares himself to Dangerfield and Luke Shuey. Freeman can find the ball and he uses it really well. He’s an under rated kick and a real force as an outside player. He seems to have an AFL ready body. I’d like to see him try get the inside ball a little more, but other than that; there are no outstanding flaws to his game. Freeman’s combine was incredible – second in the 20m sprint with 2.82 seconds, he came 10th in the 3km run, 10th in the beep test with 14.10 and first in the repeat sprints".
  21. agree ... this is madness. why do we have an etihad home game.
  22. could Scharenberg slip to pick 9 ... I had Freeman as a lock for #9 BUT its a tough one if Scharenberg was available.
  23. Freeman, Crouch, Salem, Lennon ... any are all good by me. I think all will be available (likely boyd, kelly, aish, scharenberg, billings as top 5, #6 Bontempelli #7 Kolodjashnji)
