  1. Casey is ‘withering on the vine !!’ Rosebud signs Mitch White for the 2025 season in its entirety End of the line for Casey VFL captain Mitch White, as reported that he will play at Rosebud full-time next season. Goes out on the high of a best and fairest with the Demons. 4 AFL games at MFC 7 years at Casey 2022 premiership 2022 Norm Goss medalist 👏👏👏👏👏👏
  2. Two Dragons players who also impressed were Lennox Hoffman & Adrian Cole. Hoffman had a good game across half back and his run and dash has improved since I saw him earlier this year. He’s under the SAINTS NGA - his father was born in Switzerland. Not sure how exactly that fits. Adrian Cole (whose father was born in Nigeria) is a tall 6”5’ defender who is also under the SAINTS NGA. Both youngsters grew up in Australia. Both defenders are likely draftees with Cole likely at 50ish and Hoffman as a likely rookie selection.
  3. Assume he’s not eligible. Who knows with those NGA rules? Maybe Dees will need to check eligibility clause 28.3 sub paragraph 7.
  4. Interesting. Wouldn’t be the worst outcome. Obviously do the right checks on how Membrey is. Though my confidence in Tim Lamb is at a low !!!
  5. Thanks @Whispering_Jack good reading over a morning coffee. I alm glad that youngsters like Luke Kennedy (Dragons), Jack Ough (Rebels) and Zane Cochrane (Chargers) are getting recognised. This is an excellent draft and I think picks in 3rd and 4th round can still find a club some very good young players in my view.
  6. @demonglory sugar coated review. They got beaten by 50 points. In fact it was 9 goals to 1 after quarter time. Kangas also missed two gettable other goals. Outmuscled across the park. Only McNamara and Gillard played 4 quarters. Turnovers were killers. I think Banno and Eden need to get hungry. They are looking timid. Paxy … zero tackles. Actually had 3-4 missed tackles. Turnovers killed us. We missed Harris, Purcell, Aimee Mackin & Pearce. It was always going to be a tough year. But lose to Freo, and I think it’s finals over already. Tough draw doesn’t get any easier.
  7. Melbourne v North Melbourne 10 Kate Shierlaw (NMFC) 8 Ashleigh Riddell (NMFC) 5 Mia King (NMFC) 3 Emma King (NMFC) 2 Jasmine Garner (NMFC) 1 Tahlia Gillard (MELB)👏👏 1 Eliza McNamara (MELB)👏👏
  8. Carlton pair Matt Kennedy + Lewis Young have been told they’re free to look around elsewhere for a new home in 2025. Kennedy had an honest conversation with Michael Voss last week - he sees himself as an inside midfielder, the Blues see him continuing half-forward role. I’d be happy to grab Kennedy for a pick in the 50s/60s
  9. Yes saw Membrey v Eagles (kicked 5) and Blues (kicked 2) and he’s a very good mark and accurate kick. He’s 31 at start of next season so it’s almost an “like for like” age profile swap with Tomlinson. Might be worth the punt to give us the added scoring power.
  10. That spot is reserved most likely for Noah Yze as Cat A rookie. He’s unlikely to get drafted but I think Dees will honour the father son commitment. He’s got potential which is where the rookie list should be for. I liked to rookie list for players 18-23yo as development and not this list management strategy for older players. Just my view.
  11. Yes to moving on Lamb. Yes to pursuing Wright … but I think he is going to the installed in the new Tassie FC structure
  12. We just did “the rebuild”. Got the2 early picks and effectively swapped out 6 experienced players with new draftees In: Alyssia Pisano #5 Delany Madigan #54, Ryleigh Wotherspoon#12, Jacinta Hose (ACL #24) , Lily Johnson (port Adelaide) Jemma Rigoni #29 Out: Maddi Gay (bombers), Libby Birch (NMFC ) , Eliza West (hawks) Casey Sherriff (hawks ) Jordan Ivey (pies) Charlotte Wilson (suns) That was the rebuild !! Likely paxy is playing her final season probably. New coach likely for 2025. What to do ? Get in Emma McDonald (priority) as our new key forward and develop the draftees and get Purcell, Harris, Aimee Mackin and Pearce back in.
  13. @Demonland are we posting votes for this weeks game ? Seems like after a “worst ever loss”, the enthusiasm is absent. It think it was the howlers and turnovers that were the killer. Eliza McNamara⭐️was clearly our best but that clanger 10 metre kick from the back flank to the central forward position , turnover goal was horrible. Especially when a 40 metre kick with the wind was the most obvious choice.
  14. I’m checking my news feeds every 10 minutes. Dees need to get Caulfield mega development deal through with racing club and government onboard. It will be a central home for the Dees and our support base. 😀😀😀😀
  15. Sorry all. I’m not seeing the frenzy here for Ollie. He looks okay but he’s not anywhere near Nick Watson. I agree he can play some minutes in midfield and small forward. Good energy. Smart. I only watched the first half Rebels v Dragons and only noticed him 2-3 times to be honest. See him as a later draft pick. See how he goes versus Dragons this week and at State Combine listing.
  16. it’s a shame that the Chargers lost (8.18.66 to 10.10.70) because they were the only team capable of challenging the Dragons imv. I only saw the first half of Rebels v Dragons but will try to catch the game highlights or replay ⭐️Jagga Smith. He’s small but classy and evasive. Quick hands. Think he’s probably getting closer to being the number 1 pick. ⭐️Finn O’Sullivan. Not at his best again , but still won the footy and his disposal was elite by foot. Also nice to see his tackling and contest work. He kicks goals as a mid. As per prior, slightly smaller LDU. 👏Zane Cochrane. Yes he’s going to get drafted. Saw him in a half at Carey and he stood out. Then he played a great game versus dragons earlier in the year. He’s very good tall mid who can play inside/outside. Excellent skills. Thought he’d be early 4th round. Might drift into high 40s now. Dees should be looking at him definitely. 👍🏻 Noah Yze. Number 15. Good size. Played inside and I think across half forward. Sticks a solid tackle. I am thinking he will not get drafted but definitely would like to see the Dees pickup as a father son rookie.
  17. It was a ripping contest but the class of the Dragons mids was the difference. Langford impressed with his Bont like contest and took some nice marks Lack of tackling agility was a worry. Warning … Ashcroft will be as good as his brother. 😭😭
  18. Stinear needs to go to the house of mirrors. He had to now show some strategy. We had depth. We had cover for injuries. Guess what? Trade out 4 of your best 20 then lose 4 key players to injury and you’re cooked. Others have improved. AFLW Dees are going backwards. They are being outbodied at the contest and their skills today were woeful.💔💔💔
  19. MFC clearly didn’t read the rules !?!?!?! Anyway they need to put up a case and have the rules changed. The AFL flip flops all the time. NGA rules especially!!! We need more players of Polynesian heritage playing AFL !! Surely 😉
  20. @Demonland @red and blue forever Is Hunter out of contract at end of 2024? I thought he signed for 2 years which was the contract term ending he had at the Bulldogs and we were a salary dumping site !!! However just read Zero Hanger site has him contracted to end of 2025. Surely Tim (F troop) Lamb didn’t sign him for 3 years. My panic attack has just begun !!! can we clarify?
  21. Jagga Smith is likely to be the number 1 now. Was a standout today v Rebels. He’s only knock is size but guys like Sam Walsh show that movement and gut running makes up for that.
  22. All I say is DITTO !!!
  23. Tough draw. First 3 games versus teams in last years top 4!!!
  24. Checked this team v team played in last years finals. They having lost 8 players from last years finals team. It shows now !!!!
  25. Stingrays outclassed today. Hard to match the mids of the Dragons. ⭐️Harvey Langford. Again showed he’s going to be pick 1-5. Very good overhead. Wins contested footy. Kicks 50 metre easily. Reminds us of the Bont. Only knock is he’s defensive game. Zero tackles. Didn’t look interested in working hard without the footy. Such talented youngsters need that ability too. (Funny moment. Commentator saying he is “ likely to be drafted top 40, in fact top 30 or probably top 20”… touch of the Kelli underwood calls…!!!). ⭐️Cooper Hynes. Tough day but is a hard worker in close. Tackled strongly. Will be early second round pick. Dees might be a very interested team. 👏Harrison Doughton. I’ve seen him 4 or 5 times now and he has impressed. Mid sized onballer. Tough day versus dragons elite but he held his own. Good decisions. Competed hard even though overwhelmed.
