CASEY: Rd 15 vs Coburg
Hardie is a class above our trundlers Unbelievable he wasn’t drafted last year. Dominates in midfield and kicks goals He would walk in ahead of Sparrow, Sharp, Spargo, Laurie, Kolt etc.

4.11 “We are working on our goalkicking every week”. Simon Goodwin I hear words but it’s all hot air. Pathetic.

Hardie 👏👏👏 Spargo playing ?? Donovan Toohey starred in 2024 and in this season he averages 31 possessions for the Burgers and he looks like he would get an AFL game - JT… hello … Tim Smith … anyone there???

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Answer. Nothing. Neither did guys like Spargo, Fritta or Sharp when they got dropped. It’s purely team balance that Lever and JVR are playing.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
10 things I want to see today JVR leading up for the footy and not getting into wresting matches with Butts/Crows full back Trac and Clarry lower their eyes as they kick inside 50 and hit a target At least a 70% kick conversion from shots inside 40 metres Salem trying a few 35 metre kicks on the 45 degree angle into the corridor to create and impact (not 15metre kicks sideways) Tackles to lock the player in , not to let them get the handball away to running players May to shutdown Taylor Walker Langford to get more CBA across the match - hope he gets 7-8 this week Either Kozzzzy or Chin crumb packs as small forwards and create pressure and goals (Chin when Kozzzy is in the midfield) Harry Sharp and Tim Soarrow to hit the scoreboard with multiple goals Maxy Gawn to dominate and get another 3 votes And I’d like to see the umps give us a fair go and not be biased by the cries of the crowd as the 19th player !!!

Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White
Only saw about 25 minutes of the game and only saw him 2-3 times. Stats were 11 disposals 6 kicks 5 handballs. 6 marks. 2 tackles. He’s okay. Others are starring but all MFC need is for him to stay healthy and be happy and pick the Dees. He will take time in spend two years getting his body up to rigors of AFL footy. Hopefully only have to match a bid in the 40s/50s.

NON-MFC: Round 17
Archer May. Part of Sandy Dragons premiership team. Ignored in last years draft. Looks a definite player as a key forward.
-
NON-MFC: Round 17
Caddy will be a star. No doubt. Moyle would have to be a starting ruck in a lot of teams. Anderson, Rowell, Miller. That’s a gun midfield. Tough. Pace. Goalkickers.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
May on Walker Turner on Fogarty …? on Thilthorpe … Lever??? I thought Tmcd would have been the obvious promotion. Still the inside selectors know best

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Coburg
Bytel, Gentile and Allison up forward are quality players. Baldi tagging Gentile is the most obvious coaching move of the week.

NON-MFC: Round 17
Not sure. He played reasonable footy in 23 & 24 but this year he seems a shadow of the player that he was many years ago. Maybe it’s the losing culture and fact the Eagles aren’t improving. It is 3 years now of losing and losing and losing. 9 wins in his 58 games so far at WCE. It’s a shame he missed out on the 2021 GF as he was a good part of our season that year. He played 21 games in “21 but ironically got hurt vs the Eagles. Injury robbed him of playing in the finals and then he couldn’t get back into the GF team.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Coburg
Casey by 8 goals. Bonner to have 35 possessions. Campbell to have 52 hitouts. Spargo to kick 5 goals and have 32 possessions against the VFL level part timers. Surely Kentfield kicks at least 4 goals this week.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Coburg
FYI @paul Amy reports Worth noting that Casey Demons talent Roy George has made a mid-season move in the VFL, joining the busy Port Melbourne.

Media Madness
DAMO … 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩YOU ARE A CUCKEN FUNT… Always prints negative about the Dees IF ...the Demons axed Jake Lever for round 16 and bring him straight back for round 17 ... THEN ...I do wonder why he was axed in the first place. There are a lot of problems at this club. Lever is not one of them.

NON-MFC: Round 17
North pioneered Friday night footy. They should have had the game on a Friday night to celebrate 100 years. Thursday is a TV show event and not for the stadium crowds!!( Unless it’s a Crows or Pies home game of course).

Trade Targets
Small forward is definitely a position that needs to be looked at. We have the amazing Kozzzzy but he is now needed on rotation in the midfield. We need a pacy, high pressure, goalkicking small crumbing forward. It’s not Spargo. It’s not Sparrow. Maybe Rosas jnr. He was just a name that I looked at as a small fwd when seeing who was being squeezed out at other clubs.
-
Trade Targets
Malcolm Rosas jnr - frozen out by the Suns right now. Smart goalkicker. Dees need a small forward who KICKS GOALS.

NON-MFC: Round 17
Bont runs and is tackled and drops it … no free … play on Zurhaar marks the footy … play on Darcy bumped in a marking contest … free kick Bulldogs JJ tackled and throws the footy with two hands … play on No wonder Kangas fans were crying out BULL****TTT!!

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Agree @binman Salem had been good in some games and I’m backing him in but too often he kicks it short and sideways (often easy option with zero impact). Thats why his DE% is high. Salo’s metres gained is low in comparison with his number of possessions. V Suns. 22 possessions, 15 kicks, 222 metres gained. Compared with Chandler for example who had 11 possessions, 6 kicks, 234 metres gained. Salo had low impact. He still cracks in at times and we can’t fault his effort. Salem also is getting exposed with his pace now being an issue. Ainsworth got away from him just by pace alone. His prior injuries and time is slowing him down.
