  1. Has this been announced? Didn’t see anything on the club website
  2. Ditto. That’s the obvious change for 2021. We need a player to shutdown the likes of Martin, Merrett, Dfield, Steele, Boak. That was missing this year. Harmes has the endurance, intensity . He can go forward in rotation.
  3. Wow. Pollyanna. Seemed to have got this one right again. @Patches O’houlihan Ooooh
  4. Pollyanna might have to note all the positive call outs made over many years on many players. Many suggested the Dees wanted Parish and so we called out for Oliver. We didn’t want the Toumpas ahead of Wines decision again.
  5. Still reckon JT’s list has in order Finlay Macrae Jack Carroll Archie Perkins Nik Cox Brayden Cook * Errol Gulden (bid) Caleb Poulter Isiah Winder Bailey Laurie Zavier Maher Eddie Ford If we can snag 3 of these ten players with our 18,19,28 , we’d have done very well. Agree that we’d be a chance to also bid on Blake Coleman or Brandon Walker if all the above were gone by pick 28. Nick Stevens I’d probably next best option.
  6. Rhyan Mansell should be in an AFL team and system in 2021. Hoping it’s with the Dees. He’s the type we want. Pace. Skill. Determination. Tackles. Has the same qualities as young Riv.
  7. Have to go back to page 1 as I kicked off the Thread. I haven’t changed my mind. Sam Fisher Jacob Wehr Rhyan Mansell I’d happily draft one of these guys if we use pick 50. also add in Angus Baker - NEAFL gun from 2019 deserves a place on an AFL list
  8. Really good points made here. And yes a bid for Coleman is not to be ruled out. It would force the Lions into consideration of keeping Coleman or Crozier. Also Gulden is a great runner and very skilled. It’s a shame that the Swans have their academy zone (a very biased draft) as Gulden would be a good get. Again JT might make them have a think.
  9. Exactly. And taken as isolated grabs. I’ve have to go back to find the ones where I say he’s possibility is high but he’s a risk. Definitely a calculated gamble. I still think LJ is a raw athlete and not a natural footballer. That hadn’t changed after his 2020. Let’s see after a few more years. I still think Eagles and Freo will be after him big time and go home factor is dangerous. I note that in many posts I called out Serong. Thanks @Pollyanna for reminding me that I wanted him drafted. I believe he won the rising star ⭐️ award. ✅.
  10. Really hope we keep our pick 50 to draft this kid. He had what it takes and would fit into our team immediately. Pace and skill. That’s what this draft is all about for the Dees.
  11. Interesting. Really hoping for Jack Carroll. Sounds more likely that we could get like a “18/19” Brayden Cook, Zavier Maher, then perhaps even “28” Isiah Winder or Eddie Ford. That’s a good outcome.
  12. Surely the Cats will call Lewis Jetta. Fits their age profile.
  13. Lockhart. Hard at the footy. Has the skills. Just needs the composure and we’ll have a very very good BP
  14. Drafting Lewis Jetta 2008 was the year but our saviour Barry Prendergast had no farrrrrrken idea
  15. Was this in a likely draft pick order? They had Eddie Ford down the pecking order. ?????
  16. Yes it is about 10 years too late.
  17. Don’t tell Gil. In the NBA Draft (basketball), you can buy or sell draft picks depending on the cap, penalties and the $$$ having to be paid on contracts per draft pick. It’s a absolute maze of swapping players and picks and future picks and options and cash even on the draft night occasion. You need to an advanced mathematician to solve the NBA drafting puzzle. Again don’t tell Gil.
  18. It’s a shame that guys like Nick Stevens didn’t get the chance to play this year. He’s another mid/half-back runner with excellent skills.
  19. The last full forward from Tassie for the Dees? Russell Robertson. A gun. and before him... James Cook. A bust.
  20. When I look through the delisted players , if I had to choose one player to pickup it would be Ryley Stoddart. He has just turned 21 and had 3 years in the Swans system. I remember him in the 2017 championships for Vic Metro. He plays wing/half back , is a left footer and had real pace. Good skills. I think he got a few injury setbacks at the Swans and couldn’t quite crack it. Played the 6 games in 2018-19. Given his style is what we need (I’d like to add 3-4 quick skilled players to our list) , he’s worth a DFA or likely a rookie pick.
  21. And who did they highlight for the Dees? Macrae? Perkins? Carroll? Ford? Cook? Winder? Maher ? Poulter? Laurie?
  22. I know your point but Mitch Brown played a very good set of games once he got his chance and an excellent round 18 where he was nearly BOG. How those Essendon-scum hated his last game to beat them. 21 marks in the last 2 games. And contested marks. Took more marks in his 5 games than Tmcd did in 10 games. Probably gets a year again on value for money coin.
