  1. Again the question ... what spots do we have left on the list? One primary list spot and one rookie list spot??
  2. Fair call. Rosman does have speed and kicking style like Smith but better in the air. That’s a high bar to set to compare like Goodes.
  3. Thanks @goodoil I saw Patrick Walker went effective #1 in rookie draft. His kicking skills and run out of defence are elite. I agree he would need to get physically stronger to defend in AFL but that’s true for 95% of all 18 year olds. Most need that one or two summers in the gym.
  4. It seems like none of the recruiters know that Tasmania exists. Ben Brown, Brodie Mihocek, Jeremy Howe, Jay Lockhart and probably a few more that I missed have had to play in state leagues for a few years to get drafted in. This year Oliver Davis, Jackson Callow, Sam Collins and Patrick Walker all presented as good youngsters. They were able to play TSL games and excelled against open age players. Whilst the TSL is not the strongest comp, I think clubs will look to rookie a few of these blokes. Davis and Callow were potential top 30 picks so they may still get a rookie spot but spots are tight. Callow is a strong marking forward who kicks goals. The two youngsters I’d look at are Patrick Walker - wing/half back. He meets JT’s requirements of good ball user, creative, good decision maker. Excellent skills, good runner and not unlike Trent Rivers. His kicking efficiency is elite. Rhyan Mansell (played at Woodville West Torrens in 2020). He’s now 20 after being previously overlooked in the draft. Solid year for the SA premiership team across wing and half back. Has very good pace. Excellent skills. I like his run and carry and his secondary run after disposing of the footy to create more options. If he’s not rookied, he would be a good player for the “train-on” summer invite.
  5. Jake Bowey. Small forward/mid. Skilled. Evasive. Plays like Shai Bolton. Bailey Laurie. Small half forward/mid. Smart. Skilled. Plays like Brent Daniels. Fraser Rosman. Wing/half forward. Athlete. Quick. Xfactor. Plays like Isaac Smith.
  6. Yes that’s why we hate them. Especially grabbing Macrae. Was hoping he might slide to us.
  7. Knightmare must have fallen asleep at the end. Yes Isiah Winder stays in WA at the Eagles. I think the brackets are his prediction at where they would be drafted.
  8. With Bowey, Laurie and Rosman added thats means we have 36 primary and 5 rookie (incl Bradtke as a cat B). Further additions? 1 on primary list and 1 on rookie list??
  9. Glad to see Wehr get drafted to the Giants. He improved year on year at SA Eagles with his elite skills being recognised.
  10. Ford and Winder now gone. Thought we might have stole one with our last pick.
  11. It’s a lottery.
  12. Yes. Two small skilled forwards.
  13. Small forward. Skilled. Evasive.
