WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
spirit of norm smith replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree. I would think 3years plus option of a 4th year based on fitness/Goals/number of games played etc. A flat 5 years is a stretch for a bloke they dropped twice and was injured. Save the $$$ and 5-year deals for the Gun free agents where necessary or for existing guns Trac, Viney, Oliver, May etc. -
Still think the right play is to grab Tom Phillips. Would walk into our best 22 on the wing and is a good age bracket to give 6-7 years. A three year contract deal and offering our 2021 2nd round pick to the Pies gets it done. Makes sense to the Pies to free up salary room for their other priorities.

It’s a mess.
-
6 premierships in 22 years. 4 runners up. And the Sydney media and channel 9 commentators hate them. As EJ would say, “We stuck it up em”. !!

Go the mighty Storm Bellamy is a legend. Loved his anger when his players got lazy and went soft and dropped intensity. He asks for 100% all the time and deserves it. Did it for Victoria. Love the connection to the fans. Culture is amazing. You don’t get the guernsey unless you put in. Lessons for our Dees

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
spirit of norm smith replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Best type is Sam Berry but he is likely to be a pick in 30-35 and I’d rather a kid with good pace and run to develop. Don’t need another small mid imv -
Yes interested. He’s an opportunity to add more pace to the line up and he loves a goal. Whatever we get for Hannan, we should offer for Thomas. 3rd rounder??
-
I once threw 10 darts and 7 hit the board and scored one amazing unexpected bullseye. That sums up the rumour file.

Michael Christian: Yes. High impact. Severe outcome. Moderate intent. Forearm left out , not braced. Ok that’s 3 weeks reduced to 2 weeks with early gulity plea Gil: it was Paddy Dangerfield. Michael Christian: sorry. NOT GUILTY.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
spirit of norm smith replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good to see Patrick Walker got a focus. He’s a quality kid who I saw in 2019 and thought his class and composure would suit our future needs. The fact he has grown adds to his tall half back flank credentials. -
Scully was the obvious no.1 pick in footy ability and his pure elite athletic endurance. ???? But we failed to pick up in his character flaw of pure selfishness and drive for a $$$$. ❌❌ Trengove came up from a mid-teens pick to no.2 and rightly so as he had so much class and such an impressive young man. ?? His injury killed off a wonderful young blokes career. ❌Another curse. Martin was going to be a 20-25 pick but his 2009 year was simply amazing and the Tigers took the gamble in pick 3. His talent was there but his off field attitude was a high risk. High risk but he has been high high high return.

Great work by all the team and the contributors. We all live in hope of one day getting that premiership dream. Go Demons
-
Agree. Riewoldt and Lynch were beaten in the GF and only took chances
-
HFF. Tigers finished 13th in 2016 with only 8 wins. Lost the round 22 clash to Sydney by 20 goals. From the round 22 team, 19 players played in their 2017 GF and yesterday still had 14 of those players in that side that played in the 2020 GF. They won 2017 premiership in a huge turnaround. How? It wasn’t huge personnel changes. Things are key standouts. 1- Injury free run 2- skills skills skills 3- intensity 4- strategy and 5- Dusty is an absolute mega Star

IMV Lockhart May Lever Hibberd Tomlinson Salem Langdon Viney ****** Melksham Brown Harmes Fritsch Weideman Pickett Gawn Petracca Oliver Brayshaw Rivers Jackson Sparrow I’d be confident with the right strategy, physical development, intensity and footy IQ, this team can match any going ahead. With a few smart additions, MFC certainly have the talent to get that elusive premiership 2021 ins +4 in trade/FA. +3 in draft Foot soldiers: Hunt Vandenburg Petty Hore Anb Jetta Jones Jordan Baker Bedford Spargo Smith Nietschke (r) Bradtke (r) kk (x) OUTS - Bennell Chandler Cwagner jwagner Dunkley - trade OMc Tmc hannan Preuss
-
Tigers - all the players, squad coaches , support staff sing the song. Demons - sing the song and miss 3 players including the 6’10 captain. Footy is about IQ and making the right decisions
-
1 Dees need to do an SAS preseason 2 Goodwin needs to watch and strategically spend 100 man hours working out this game 3 Tigers are completely beatable (they bleed) but clubs are too lazy to figure it out. Watch how they get the footy to Short and Edwards to link through. They are excellent kicks and had about 15 forward 50 entries tonight.

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
spirit of norm smith replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry had to bump this. I thought this kid BALTA was going to be good. I am happy to talk to JT anytime -
He was gone 6 weeks ago. Can’t believe he kept on going. Yes OMc might be a Cats option.
-
I am confident both can be achieved
-
And Gil shaking hands with the general public. Never thought that would ever happen. !!!
-
Settle down. No Community transmissions in QLD.
-
Cats need Cameron. Hawkins was a big disappointment in the GF
