  1. Hunt kicked 10 goals in 6 games including two key weeks where his goals v Blues and Bombers were crucial to getting us over the line. His goal rate was #1 in the team for 2020. His goals were certainly not over the back goals. In fact, he is one of the few who actually want to kick a goal and not handball. Deserved a two year extension and perhaps a fair-go in selections. By comparison, Melksham kicked 15 goals from 17 games and got picked each week despite being out of form and not contributing.
  2. Crows would be a good fit. They need to replace Hartigan. Oscar didn’t develop and clearly was not up to AFL Standard. Embarrassed by rookies Georgiades and Mcinerney. We bid him farewell. Oscar and MFC pick 43 for Crows pick 40. OR Oscar for Crows pick 66
  3. Saints ARE a destination club
  4. Definitely need to get the Burgo medical clearance here. He was very good in 2018 before getting hit with injury in 2019.
  5. Bump Alex Witherden is looking elsewhere and the Eagles are looking at him. Surely the Dees could look at a highly skilled small defender to partner May and Lever. As a Victorian boy, we can offer a lot and maybe use a 3rd round pick to squeeze him out of Brisbane. Pick 43 would be my starting point.
  6. Highly skilled and talented. Perfect player to take us to the Premiership. Definitely grab him and fulfill our destiny. Future 1st rounder is good buying
  7. Higgins to the Saints!! Surely must be on a basic wage. How else could they afford their buying spree!!! Must have been paying only 90% of the cap !?!?!?!!!
  8. Yes I think the Dogs will be looking at lots of suitors for their 1st round pick so they can exchange picks to maximize points. It’s going to be an actuary’s dream scenario
  9. So far looking likely options (imv as very tough guesstimates) pick swaps with Lions 43 and 2021 future 4th rd for MFC 53 and future 2021 3rd rd Ins. Ben Brown for MFC 2020 pick 43 and future 2021 2nd round Andrew Phillips for MFC (Lions) future 2021 4th round outs. Hannan and MFC pick 68 for dogs future 3rd round Preuss and MFC 2021 4th round pick for 2020 GWS pick 31. TMC for EssFC future 2021 3rd round pick OMC delisted free agent Leaves us with 2020 2nd rd Pick 26, 31 4th rd 69 + Ben Brown + Phillips (x Preuss Hannan Tmc OMc) 2021 MFC 1st rd Pick , DOGS 3rd rd pick, EssFC 3rd rd pick
  10. Agree. Likely scenario is probably fair outcome.
  11. Watching Tmc in 2020, he was not moving well. Turning circle of the Titanic. He was getting his hands to a lot of marks but failing to hold them like a forward should. It’s a tough one. Certainly the memories of 2018 give us hope. Also thought it might give us some trade value. Hard call. Maybe a good preseason could be the difference.
  12. I agree. I think there are some issues here as to why the Saints decides to delist. It’s a no no call
  13. On the comeback trail after two knee reconstructions. Hope he gets some luck and gets on the park. Handy half back option but we shouldn’t expect much from him in 2021. Should get a rookie spot as promised by the club.
  14. Yes. That was at start. He said he has a coffee regularly with Jason Taylor and that he would get a whack off JT for labeling us a Swiss Cheese list. Also started being concerned by our lack of youth. But then he addressed how many good players we have and that Jacko, Pickett and Rivers were excellent. At the end, I think the Swiss cheese label was not founded, like a Trump election fraud claim.
  15. In the end the view was actually quite optimistic. Rendell stated that as we just missed the final 8, he sees improvements and the stars in our midfield are still only in their early to mid 20s and heading into their prime. SOS saw our two-way running as the key weakness and Damien Barrett saw our port delivery into the forward 50 as a key issue. In terms of game plan and execution, they are both correct.
  16. Rendell underwent his analysis of the Dees list. I don’t think he is fully across our list but provided some interesting conversation. Why Swiss Cheese? “Our list has holes through it” 1- “Their Kids under 22. Jackson will be a star. Oliver yes. Rivers good. Weideman yes. Pickett will be a star. Sparrow showed a bit. Petty yes but hadn’t really played. Perhaps light on and need more kids”. (imv yes - that what happens when you trade out for May and Lever for 3x 1st rounders. But we seem just ok for youth and will get 1-2 good kids this year). 2. “Key defender - Steven May super year. Lever much better. Tomlinson ok. Tmc and OMc to be out. Petty might be ok so need an extra key back “. (imv agree as a plan B in case May gets an injury. Perhaps use a pick 63 on recycled tall back) 3. key forwards - “now ok with Ben Brown coming onboard. Weideman gets 2nd best defender is ok. Brown Weideman Jackson as 3 key talls”. (yes no issue here and probably add in Mitch Brown as that plan B option) 4. Small forwards -“Pickett will be a star. Spargo. Bedford. Ok here”. (imv another pacy small forward would be handy in event Pickett needs to be managed through the year. Perhaps Bedford in that role already) 5. Defensive run - “Salem but he needs more run. Hibberd, is he even still on the list, Rivers he’s a good one. Jetta minds the smalls. So need 1-2 more backline runners”. (imv - agree - 1-2 half back/wing runners needed, and is a focus) 6 Tough Midfield inside “Viney, Oliver, Harmes, Brayshaw, Petracca, Jones and Sparrow. All ok for inside mids”. (absolutely agree) 7. Breaking midfield runners - “Langdon good but needs work on disposal. Perhaps needs a Treloar. “ (Imv definitely the priority need. Rendell failed to mention our quest for Isaac Smith or potential to go for Tom Phillips) 8. Ruck “With Preuss leaving, Dees need backup behind Gawn. Jackson not ready. Yes Andrew Phillips would be ok, fill the need”. (agree a plan B ruckman is needed just in case Maxy cops an injury or needs a break)

  18. Mahoney said “We believe 43 is a versatile type, who can play at either end of the ground, good running and strong at the contest. Very good year and should develop through the AFL system”.
  19. Biden to win Nevada and Arizona and Georgia.
  20. Give away next years pick is to pickup the benefit of Brown now but delay the cost. Next year we will do better and push to the top 6. Back yourself in. I’m not giving up our 2nd round this year. We can leverage it to negotiate and go higher in the order.
  21. Neeld. That name. I’m still angry.
  22. I think the Dees thought we were getting Noah Answerth. We swap you pick 53 and future 3rd round for your future 4th round AND THAT NUMBER 43.
  23. Andrew Phillips. This pick swap. Ruthless approach.
