Jake Melksham
I think he’s been very unlucky in 2021. Only out of the team due to Spargo having a real breakout year. If Spargo had dropped off, Melksham would probably have come back in. Jake’s Goalkicking is a huge asset. If you had a player to take a shot from 30-40 out, he’d be my pick (ok Maxy is our new sharpshooter!!! 🤣) Hope Dees keep this and other news “under the counter” until after GF. Don’t want this distraction.

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
I screamed at the TV in round 19 as Daniels was let free and gathered 34 possessions (yes 34 possessions) as a half back setting up play and rebounding off half back. Goodwin seemed to let him run loose. ANB will be needed to shut him down and make him accountable. Sparrow should go to Bailey Dale as the other dangerous rebounder who sets up Dogs attacks.

Grand Final Footy Record
Definitely will get this one. Collectors edition. Might buy two. One to keep and one to squeeze during the game.

Brownlow Medal 2021
Assume the lads will organise for the smart suits or at least trendy looking smart casual gear for the Brownlow. I’m sure Langers and Trac as MFC “fashionistas” will set the standard. Also can someone help Clarry prepare an acceptance speech, just in case he nails it!!!

Norm Smith Medal
Petraccccca. Hope he has 30+ possessions, kicks 4 goals and rips the game apart for the Dees.

Too soon for trade talk. We’ve got a Grand Final first.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Yes I don’t want to put too much pressure on the young bloke. As a 20 year old, it’s simply amazing that he’s in the GF. But he has an important role to play. Dogs will find him hard to match on. Duryea? He probably has done the job for the Dogs. He saved them v lions. But Kozzzy could destroy him. Rourke Smith could get first crack as he has the pace and run to hold Kozzzy. No matter what … we all love you Kozzzzzzy.

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
Hi all. I’m excited. I’m scared. It’s like we are all about to go on a rollercoaster together. A terrifying spiraling rollercoaster. It’s exciting but terrifying. You have to give your heart and soul to the Demons, to feel the hurt of defeat but the exhilaration of victory. We are so close. So close to that premiership we have dreamed of. All the dedication. All our time and thoughts. All the posts. All our potential strategies. All those trades and recruiting suggestions. This is what we do it for. To aspire. To dream to get the Dees that premiership. To feel the glory. It’s so close. Let’s ride it together and no matter what, we hold ourselves together and ride the wave. We might get dumped and we might ride the perfect tube and feel the exhilaration. That’s what we signed up for when we give our hearts to the Dees. Let’s keep the belief. 2021 is our year. The premiership we dreamed of.

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
How do we do that? Is it done by contacting the club to link up us to Dees WA supporters??

CHANGES: GF vs Bulldogs
Backing in Goodwin to make the right choices. And Burgess to get May back on the park. I think Petty gets Naughton. Naughton gets up and back and leaps. Petty can nullify him. May gets the job on English to body him out. Smith Weightman Hannan are the dangers.

Welcome to Demonland Bailey Laurie
Bailey Laurie plays the half forward the role that currently Spargo occupies. His skills and ball winning are key strengths. Dees will give him time given he didn’t really play much in 2020 and was injured for most of 2021. We can build depth and give the kid time to develop. Still really optimistic about his future in red and blue once he gets injury free.

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
Agree mostly with this , except their backline cannot be taken lightly. Keath probably replaces Gardner. Cordy is a big bodied defender. Wood and Williams are hard and skilled. Dale and Daniel are excellent players who setup the play. Duryea just gets it done.
-
CHANGES: GF vs Bulldogs
Yes in the last game I was screaming at the TV (as insane as it is) “who’s on Daniel. Goodwin wake up. He’s killing us” 34 possessions across half back. Sets up play. Maybe Sparrow plays as a defensive half forward.

PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs
Ouch. Dogs are winning all over the park.
