  1. Yes definitely best game for a while imv
  2. Ugly. Not sure we are as hungry as last year. Need to win by 12 goals plus !!!!!
  3. Turnovers. Lever. Oliver. Tmcd. Classic 2019 !!!
  4. Agree they have been one of those arrogant clubs and supporters who really destroyed us on occasions. Plenty of arrogant Eagles fans to now put back in their place. Letโ€™s start with today. Go Dees
  5. JVR very impressive. Good mark and his 2nd efforts were very good. His contest and tackle to get the holding the ball in the 3rd quarter showed his potential. Sometimes itโ€™s how you play without the ball that shows your ability. I think he will be managed at Casey this year but is definitely ready to step up if we need him. Woey jnr also showed his run and composure with the footy. Bailey Laurie is a small forward (creative half forward) in my view and today showed his ability. A goal from 55 and another smart snap showed his love for a goal. Probably shapes as a backup to Spargo at this stage. But he again is another player who could step up to AFL level if required.
  6. 3Qtr time. Casey 20.17.137. Kangas 7.4.46 Weideman 6 JVR 5 โ€ฆ both showing they are too good for VFL. Admittedly Kangas defenders look undersized. Woewodin is impressive. Good run and uses the ball very well. Daw dominated the ruck. Youngster VFL listed Bell also showing good agility and backup. Mitch White and Munro as usual are playing good games
  7. Definitely see 2 travelling emergencies so I think Bell and Steele will play. unlucky that Moniz-Wakefield got concussion as he was showing good form over the last few weeks.
  8. Great insights. Choco is a key man in our club. He is developing young players and next level leaders. I think heโ€™s work with Kozzy , Riv and LJ is a huge plus.
  9. Tipping Dees by 30 points. Play about 17 minutes of decent footy and then jog the rest.
  10. Gus is a key part of our club and played a huge part in our premiership. Heโ€™s got great mates at the footy club and a definite profile in and outside the club. The joy last week when he kicked the goal was an example that he enjoys his footy and enjoys being at the Demons. Iโ€™m optimistic once the CBA gets worked through that Gus and Jacko will sign on.
  11. I met Neale over 20 years ago at a club function at the G. He spoke to the guests and had such passion for the club, the players and us as supporters. Brings a tear to my eyes to see him without a voice. Bec will play on and be his voice. Bec is strong like her Dad. This campaign to fight MND is making a difference. Neale is a hero and the FightMND legacy will continue. We must all support this.
  12. Yes agree AFL would want Clarkson and offer $$$ to get him. GWS team is still pretty good with the midfield being strong imv (Kelly, Ward, Taranto, Hopper, Coniglio, Green ) and youngsters like Ash and Callaghan look great prospects. Loss of Jeremy Cameron is a big gap and their key forwards of Hogan and Himmelberg are below par.
  13. Great interview. May is so honest and loves footy and loves the team. Heโ€™s the sort of guy who you want to play footy with and he demands your best. The โ€œexpertsโ€ laughed and ridiculed the Dees after 2019. Suns took pick 6 and drafted Ben King. Predictions of him being a 10-15 year full forward superstar. May was injured in 2019 as we struggled. But May has proven to be an amazing recruit. A leader. A premiership player.
  14. I banked 2 Brownlow votes for Clarry. Just reckon Gus was more effective and should get the 3 votes
  15. AFL WEBSITE - St Kilda's second half against Melbourne was the real deal โ€œthe Saints should be heartened by their effort against the reigning premiers. After trailing by nine goals to one, the Saints restricted the Dees to just five more goals for the game, while adding seven of their own.โ€ Wow. We know weโ€™re a top team when we beat up the opposition by 6 goals and they get all the praise.
  16. Query over Lever and Gawn. Depends on how Lever pulled up. Icing on corkie for a few days and see how the bleeding goes. Got full 7 days recovery so should be ok. Might just rest Gawn in any event. Unleash Jackson v Eagles and put Majak in as backup ruck.
  17. Ditto from me. Definitely Brayshaw to get 3 Brownlow votes
  18. Cheer squad becomes the Narrm-y Army
  19. Gawn was a clear standout and the difference in the game.
  20. If we get the Covid 5 back to MFC (LJ,kozzzy, sparrow, petty,Anb) then add Hibberd Weideman Dunstan Bedford Melksham to Casey team next week (Joel smith depending on severity of his injury) Southport full of ex afl, marginal afl and strong suburban type player. Casey should have their measure but tough game ahead
  21. 6 Max Gawn 5 Steven May 4. Christian Petracca 3. Angus Brayshaw 2. Clayton Oliver 1. Ben Brown Viney as honourable mention and โ€œgreat to see you get a gameโ€ award to Toby Bedford. Couldnโ€™t see Bowey in the votes. 7 turnovers and didnโ€™t look as assured as normal. Clangers and turnovers were not really something weโ€™d seen much of before.
  22. Very kind to Clarry in the first qtr. as my scribble shows Oliver fumbles - turnover - Hawks goal ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ then Oliver misses target with 15 metre pass - turnover - Hawks goal ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Good thing heโ€™s a bloody champion
  23. Iโ€™d like to see Rosman kept at CHB. Seems to be right position given his size and pace. Certainly showing good improvement this year.
  24. Good win. Bad goalkicking
  25. Goalkicking accuracy seems to be clearly an area for improvement at MFC
