  1. DAMO … 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩YOU ARE A CUCKEN FUNT… Always prints negative about the Dees IF ...the Demons axed Jake Lever for round 16 and bring him straight back for round 17 ... THEN ...I do wonder why he was axed in the first place. There are a lot of problems at this club. Lever is not one of them.
  2. North pioneered Friday night footy. They should have had the game on a Friday night to celebrate 100 years. Thursday is a TV show event and not for the stadium crowds!!( Unless it’s a Crows or Pies home game of course).
  3. Small forward is definitely a position that needs to be looked at. We have the amazing Kozzzzy but he is now needed on rotation in the midfield. We need a pacy, high pressure, goalkicking small crumbing forward. It’s not Spargo. It’s not Sparrow. Maybe Rosas jnr. He was just a name that I looked at as a small fwd when seeing who was being squeezed out at other clubs.
  4. Malcolm Rosas jnr - frozen out by the Suns right now. Smart goalkicker. Dees need a small forward who KICKS GOALS.
  5. Bont runs and is tackled and drops it … no free … play on Zurhaar marks the footy … play on Darcy bumped in a marking contest … free kick Bulldogs JJ tackled and throws the footy with two hands … play on No wonder Kangas fans were crying out BULL****TTT!!
  6. Agree @binman Salem had been good in some games and I’m backing him in but too often he kicks it short and sideways (often easy option with zero impact). Thats why his DE% is high. Salo’s metres gained is low in comparison with his number of possessions. V Suns. 22 possessions, 15 kicks, 222 metres gained. Compared with Chandler for example who had 11 possessions, 6 kicks, 234 metres gained. Salo had low impact. He still cracks in at times and we can’t fault his effort. Salem also is getting exposed with his pace now being an issue. Ainsworth got away from him just by pace alone. His prior injuries and time is slowing him down.
  7. @Lord Travis agreed. We failed to keep bringing in mature talent to build on the best 22.
  8. After another excellent season, Roan Steele was runner up in Casey VFL best and fairest. Played mid/revolving on HFF. Many of DLand suggested he get a Dees rookie spot but no !!! After 3 years at Casey, he decided to go to WAFL to try his luck Midseason draft 2025 - pick 8 - Collingwood selects Roan Steele 3 weeks later - he gets a debut game with the ladder leading Pies !! what’s going on at Melbourne FC ?? Pies pinched him from under our nose. What a mess at MFC!!
  9. Lever back in? Surely not. Unfortunately his (ankle) injuries have seen him have a lack of lateral movement. It showed even at Casey level. At times he looks slow to get to the contest.
  10. "If he is wanting to go again, I don't think you stop someone a couple of years in a row." Does Christian Petracca need a change of scenery to get back to his best? #9FootyClassified | Watch on Nine & 9Now Barrett, Twomey and Lloyd … Larry , Curly and Mo !!
  11. Shallow draft ? Theres plenty of talent. The issue is that the academy and father son picks have such a high concentration across the first round. It’s such a compromised pathway now that it is giving a huge lift to Giants, Swans ,Lions and Suns (Lions and Swans in particular that have full academy players plus father-son availability).
  12. Again the Footy Classifieds hyena pack are calling out that Trac could be traded and has fallen to outside the best 25 midfielders in the league , based on the AFL coaches votes. Slow news week ? What a pack of clowns searching for relevance !!! Cal the gettable vulture Twomey trying to fill more junk airtime and pushing up trade innuendo with half the season still to go
  13. Again the Footy Classifieds hyena pack are calling out that Trac could be traded and has fallen to outside the best 25 midfielders in the league , based on the AFL coaches votes. Slow news week ? What a pack of clowns searching for relevance !!! Cal the gettable vulture Twomey trying to fill more junk airtime and pushing up trade innuendo with half the season still to play.
  14. What a mess!! It was a free kick to Ainsworth … no mark … no 50 metres… May also got the ball and Ainsworth so no report But how did May get fined for being smashed by 2 Suns cowardly bastards … what a gucken joke !! MRO is gucked!!
  15. Enjoying the pod and it reflects our emotions and queries right now Binman … just hearing some more of the pod whilst at lunch … your “Wishlist” of getting a Bergman and or a Wanganeen-Milera and or a Ben Long (Suns) is very very remote! I do agree however that these are the type of players that the Dees need which is probably your point You put up potential players to trade as Rivers or McVee or Trac to get deals done !!! I’m keeping these guys as I see them all playing a key role ahead One player to discuss as a possible trade out is Tom Sparrow. Where does he sit? I like him as a player and he’s a great young man and clubman and it would hurt to trade him … but he hasn’t established a position and now seems pegged as a defensive half forward. Is he a midfielder ? Probably not. Where does his future sit?? It’s ruthless and potentially unpopular but he has value. Tigers might be an option as he has had a good bond with Yze when he was at MFC. @Demonland i might add this to next weeks questions after we whip the crows 🤞
  16. Play the kids scream the @Deebrief podcasters. Play Adams. Play Kynan. Play Woey. Play Luker. Play Henderson. Play Verrall. Whilst I understand the thinking, it’s not that easy. I think they might have not seen Casey play enough. By the way, they also cry out for Tom Campbell to get a game so it’s often confusing irrational rhetoric in most pods. (Also “Scotty” saying let’s see Fullerton again is just unbelievable). JVR. Showed ability to get up the ground as a marking CHF. Appears still uncertain in marking but we have to give him a go. I believe we need to give him the next batch of senior games and see the JVR and Jeffo combo. In a way they compliment each other in style. Windsor. I think we get more games into both Kolt & Windsor (Windsor though needs another week at Casey , not in the guts but running on the wing where he belongs and push forward to kick goals ) Verrall had reduced game time with TC back in. He’s developing slowly but will improve with another preseason. A debut is unlikely at this stage Henderson is a good VFL player yet I am in doubt whether he is able to be an AFL player He has moments but then seemingly gets lost in the game Still has to step up alot to be considered Kentfield is a forward, not a CHB (may that experiment end) and should be given more games at the key forward post I am hopeful he becomes a player Ricky Mentha has had two good weeks. I like his style but this year is development and then we get to see him in 2026 as a potential debut game Woey jnr has been up and down all year. He’s got injured so will have to see hon the fringe and is disappointingly one who may not stay on the list Kynan Brown is 100% heart but he butchers the footy It would be a big problem at AFL level He needs to fix his kicking asap to be considered Adams is ok and might see AFL debut shortly He needs to be tested at the higher level and next week might be that chance v crows Culley is a watch for me. He picks his moments and often is too casual or misses his targets to step up to AFL (probably why the Eagles moved him out) Others … Fullerton, Billings and Hore (unfortunately injured again) will be probably delisted at years end. Tmcd likely to retire at seasons end Lever is not fully right and he needs to get his aerobic level up I think his ankle/leg issues are hampering him
  17. @binman I’m part way through the podcast listening on my way to work. My point was that in the 1st qtr, the players erred by trying to guard grass in between players in a zone. Lots of pointing but no one manning up Pressure rating was non existent @george_on_the_outer 👍🏻George also noted this disorganized piece early in the zoning. The Suns exposed it early (as I commented ) “until we tightened up and got into the match”. I agree we stopped their transition after quarter time through tightening up but it as too late.
  18. Coaches votes Gold Coast v Melbourne9 Jake Melksham (MELB) 9 Matt Rowell (GCFC) 4 John Noble (GCFC) 3 Touk Miller (GCFC) 2 Jarrod Witts (GCFC) 2 Kysaiah Pickett (MELB) 1 Sam Flanders (GCFC) ?? Goodwin - 5. Melksham 4 Rowell 3 Miller 2 Pickett 1 Noble ??? Hardass. - 5. Rowell 4. Melksham 3. Noble 2. Witts 1. Flanders I dont Damien Hardass gave Pickett a vote. That’s a joke. 3 goals. 25 possessions. Almost single-handedly kept Dees in the contest. Witts and Gawn broke even , or Gawn might have won on a split decision. These coaches votes are ridiculous. McRae pumps up Daicos. Chris Scott gives Gus votes almost exclusively to Cats players even when they lose!!
  19. Trade of Jake Lever for Zane Duursma… get me a pen !!! Jake unfortunately is showing extreme wear and tear on his body and I fear might only have 1-2 years left in his body to compete
  20. @Demonland Went to the GC to the game. Some discussion items What we liked Melksham (up against a younger quicker taller opponent in “our” Mac Andrew). Melky showed his forward craft, played smart and whilst he had a few costly misses, he negated Andrews interception and he kicked crucial goals. Kozzzzy ❤️💙did his best to bring us back into the match. His crumbing goal in the 3rd qtr was a highlight. That got the family excited. Kozzzy was special in the last with 12 possessions, run and carry and hit targets , and yes 2 goals. Very excited he’s on board for the future Bowey. Again had a very good game, he was solid in defence and his disposal (25 disposals, 18 kicks) at 88% was a shining light. Definitely in our top 3 in the B&F At least we fought it out … 100 % effort to keep battling and stay in the game Heads didn’t drop Next 8 games ? we must continue to build the game plan and not be easybeats Try to get games into JVR, Jeffo, Kolt etc The bad First quarter was a disaster as we were completely outplayed. Missed tackles and skill errors only lead to the misery. The umpiring. Miller free in the first was a shocker The Dees play a zone defence style game as they guard grass in between players. It’s so frustrating. Clubs pick it apart. Lots of pointing but no one manning up. A simple rule. Pickup or at least get closer to your opponent. The Suns exposed it early until we tightened up and got into the match. Ditch the zone! Questions this week. Q1. How was the King smash of May not a reversal ? Clearly called by the commentators as warranting a reversal which would be paid 99/100. Why doesn’t this get more post match comments? how does May get fined? Q2. How does Ainsworth run 30 metres to the goal line (described as smart) and not get called for running too far? Umps lost control !! Q3. Where are we at? We have beaten the Lions at the Gabba and lost by a point to the Pies but in other games look devoid of AFL quality skill or scoring power. Q4. How do we get inside Fritta’s head? He’s effort v Lions was ripping in and 2nd efforts. It was barely par versus Suns. Two contested possessions. Small parts were ok. Goal from 50. Ok. He pointed a lot and was one of the more stagnant forwards giving no leads especially which hurt after Petty went out . His miss in the last was poor , from 25 metrs out !! Some call to trade him but goal kickers are hard to find.
  21. SA WRAP Dyson Sharp - cemented himself as a tip 10 pick. Plays like James Worpel. Inside mid ready to play in 2026! Bombers might target him Harley Barker -just suited to the modern game - kicked a great goal and his kicking and decision making was A grade. Think Sam Cunning-definitely now a round 1 draft pick - will go around 15-19. Skill. Smart. Hard runner. Kicked a very good goal Aiden Schubert. 199vm. Ruck forward. Two goals. Strong mark. Would be a pick 25-30 likely selection now Mitch Marsh - five goals and best on ground Has the goal sense, marking and accurate left foot kick to be AFL quality Matthew LeRay- impressed again and I liked his ability to rebound and tackle and win the footy. His ability with the footy means he’s a certainty to get drafted in the top 30 Louis Kellaway (tigers father son) - Tigers will grab him even if others nominate him as day pick 15-20 His defensive run and carry reminds me of a Jayden Short type Noah Roberts-Thompson … very impressive again as a small running mid. Type of player needed as the Dees with his good kicking inside50 Jett Dahlitz - taller defender who was able to shutdown as well as use the footy. His kicking is a weapon and I’d like to see him in red and blue. Think Rivers with elite disposal. His goal from 50 out was a highlight and I think he’s now on draft boards across a few clubs.
  22. Fox Footy. Freo v Saints. Seriously it is like watching DOCKERS TV. Pavlich is calling for Freo free kicks. It’s so biased. Saints supporters would turn the volume OFF !!!
  23. Outs. Petty and Howes concussion Viney and May should definitely NOT get suspended for their actions. Ainsworth got up immediately. May gets the ball. JVR replaces Petty (need as a marking option and 2nd ruck) TMCD replaces Howes ( Dees need Turner, May and Tmcd to counter Fogarty, Walker & Thilthorpe ) That’s it !!! Play the kids again Jeffo, Kolt, Langford , Lindsay Lever had a stinker in the VFL. He has lost any aerobic ability to run to the contest. I think his ankle issues are ongoing unfortunately No one else at Casey demands a promotion. Kentfield & Mentha are still developing @Demonland Mcvee May Tmcd Rivers Turner Bowey Langdon Trac Lindsay Fritsch JVR Chandler Koooozzzzzyyyy Jeffo Melksham Gawn Oliver Viney Salem Langford Sharp Kolt Sub Sparrow
  24. Sorry that’s harsh. Rivers ran and carried the footy and had good DE70%. Had to play back more when Howes went down early. Suns stretched us in 3rd qtr with King, Read and Walter. Apart from when Walter outmuscled Rivers in the 3rd, Rivers competed hard. Also got into the incident to support May. Intercepted 3 or 4 crucial times in back half.
  25. Big game today. I’d expect at least 15-16 youngsters from today’s game will get drafted. Watch for SA guns today Dyson Sharp - tough inside mid - top 10 Harley Barker - tall skilled running mid/wing Sam Cunning- skill wing half forward- hits targets inside 50 Aiden Schubert. 199vm. Ruck forward. Good mark. Mitch Marsh - tall agile deadly left footer - 193cm forward. Will get his chances to impact scoreboard Matthew LeRay- underrated tall midfielder. Wins it in the contest. Always seems composed with the footy. Dees might be lucky if he was available in early 2nd round pick Louis Kellaway (tigers father son) - running mid sized defender Cameron Nairn, Noah Roberts-Thompson and Luke Candy are also likely to press for draft chances I expect Vic country to put up a good match today. They have some excellent youngsters too. Josh Lindsay - Jack Crisp type - tough and mobile who wins it and has good decision making Willem Duursma- yes another Duursma. Like his brothers, plays midfield role but has a few more abilities in the contest. Likely top 5 pick. Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves. Stingrays midfield runner who has a great eye for the goals. His footskills are elite and impacts with disposals. Of course Toby Sinnema (Dees NGA) and Tarion Ah-mu (Tom Hawkins type forward) are ones to watch Riley Onley, Jobe Scapin, Brodie Atkins, Harry Dean and Callum Smith all likely types in serious draft contention.
