  1. Okay, so far we have had a major boost to our playing stocks this Free agency/trade and draft period. I'm just going to lay down who/what we have picked up because im slowly getting excited for the upcoming footy season (something i probably haven't said in a while...) INS- Free Agency- Shannon Byrnes (geel) Draft- Jack Viney (pick 26) F/S Draft pick 4* (potentially Wines/Toumpas) Trade- Jesse Hogan (MD pick 2) Dom Barry (NT zone selection) Chris Dawes (coll) Draft pick 58* OUTS- Free Agency- Brent Moloney (RFA) - (Bris) Trade- Draft pick 3 Draft pick 13 Draft pick 20 Draft pick 45 Now i personally feel this is a MAJOR plus to Mark Neeld and his team. We do only have 2 picks inside 50 in this draft, yes. BUT we will get not ONE but TWO top 10 talents! The joys of haveing a coach with a frimly imprinted game plan and an idea of what players are needed to run it
  2. I agree with what you are saying but the fact is we still land 2 top 10 talents! Viney and more then likely Wines... so we will have talent coming through... the bonus is they will not want to leave our club. They will play for the jumper, play for the club. Want to help this team rebuild! I'm getting excited!
  3. Mitch went to my high school, and is from my town. He is a very good player who i think would add to our list. He is probably the most dedicated footy player ive seen first hand.
  4. IMO he may of found the switch from junior footy to senior footy very difficult. He is still a young man who is still developing. I think there is hope for him still. I hope we keep him, however that seems unlikely... he is showing the dedication now that will make him an afl player and I for one am happy for him.
  5. Just another article on him, not alot about his playing. Although he plays under 16s for south australia. http://www.melbourne...x?newsid=139008
  6. Could not agree more, Wines would be my choice at #4
  7. I cannot wait for both of these boys to debut!
  8. it was reported on the trade week radio... it is second hand information. But its the apparent source.
  9. Tim Harrington says he is confident picks 3 and 13 will get Dawes, Wellingham and Rounds.
  10. Actually Eric Mckenzie finished 10th... Naitanui didnt even finish in the top 10.. very over rated.
  11. I've seen him play some VFL footy and looked okay. If we get him for next to nothing or maybe packaged up with Ben Mckinley (who i rate) could send back maybe a 3/4 round pick. wouldnt offer anything more
  12. I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were, i do not know much about him and was just curious.
  13. I am using an American laptop, therefor on my account, it was the correct spelling. I also completely agree with you in regards to the Australian spelling. I understand that is the case, but when the red underline appears, you can't ignore it.
  14. Anyone have any thoughts on this guy? He seems to have been squeezed out due to the arrival of Goddard.
  15. That depends, both are acceptable spelling. Seeing as though my auto correct decided to spell it how it did, it will be the one i will go with..
  16. I go by what i read and hear, who is to say your sources are any better? I know i like to be kept up to date with all the latest news, Not every rumor is true which is why they are 'rumors'. I will be more then happy to post where i get my information from. I also wrote 'may be set to stay' did not say he signed etc.
  17. This is why we MUST draft him at 3, He clearly wants to be a melbourne player and a bloody good one at that. With all these rumours circling about players not wanting to play at melbourne etc. why wouldn't we not draft someone who does?? Viney is well worth pick 3 and he will make us pay big time if we do not select him. That is why for me there is no question... he's an automatic selection as soon as pick 3 comes around.
