  1. How about targeting Carlisle and or Hurley sure the dons would love high pick we need to plan with life after mitch Cameron would be number 1 followed by Carlisle then Hurley
  2. Looking more likely that Geelong's season will be over in half an hour an Frawley can finally end speculation and leave as suspected
  3. Agree some ppl need to get over some of these players issues if they can play there in most of these players suggested are better than ours.
  4. Theres no mention anywhere about Tex and MFC supposed multi million dollar contract more like port Adelaide?
  5. Would be happy to have Robinson in the midfield provided roosy can help him sort out his off field problems! The guy has a real hard edge that would help us in the aggression department!!
  6. And how many years have we recruited top draft pick that haven't quite turned out??? not say Roos can't develop them but we are in more need for blokes who been in the system for a bit! Plus there is no guarantee those young bloke will be ready for round 1 next year
  7. Not Sure why you would think Disastrous off season?? We get 2 pretty good mids! Would love Parker but swans I highly doubt would let go? They would want 2 first round picks, he is great but one player doesn't make a side or 3 mids which rosy said we really needed!!!
  8. Ideal off season- On the assumption Frawley goes; Roos and Jackson both sign on for another 2 years (3 would be better) Sign Brett Kirk as Successor Trade both our first round picks and any fringe players Get Tom Mitchell and Gary Rohan Target Jake Carlisle Another free agent: Okeefe/Malceski FINGERS CROSSED
  9. On the same page as Roos it's seems, there has been a rumour flying around ( take it as a grain of salt) Jude Bolton could also be a target!
  10. Kirk wants to get the best out of himself regardless of talent just more so desire, which I'm sure would make him a good coach even though he think a little different, players like Pedersen Bail etc would thrive under him and a couple of more seasons under Roosy would both him and the club in good stead!
  11. Hoping its Kirk, wasnt the most talented player but had the keep hard at it leadership on the field and lead the way in that bloods culture under Roos. 2 years coaching Freos midfield in their dominance plus hopefully another 2 or 3 under Roos (if he is the successor) should make his transition in to senior coaching a little easier than some others.
  12. Roos family would defs all know about it by now. If it was an issue they would have said flat out NO.
  13. Bummer ey,liked Eade, please Melbourne DO NOT SELECT ANOTHER UNTRIED COACH!!! Our fate must lie in the hands of a Master get one of Williams or Roos, not keen on Craig as senior coach we have still have a few beltings under him doesn't fill me with to much confidence going into next year! Nor Dean Laidley this bloke wasn't overly impressive at North Melbourne. I don't care what they said on the Footy Show last night, I don't care how highly rated Leigh Tudor is at the Swans he is not us at this point in time!!!
  14. Not keen on Neil Craig as senior coach, his record whilst has improved since Neelds departure, but remember that we only just fell over the line against the dogs and we got whacked by North Melbourne big time and the GWS loss was plain embarrassing behind all the other shocking losses this season. He doesn't fill me/others with a lot of confidence going into next year knowing we wont win another game, far better off cleaning the slate and getting Eade with Simpson. SEN reported this morning that Simpson/Eade was very possible. Lloyd must be reading demonland and some posters on here lol
  15. Not Chocco he is an intense nut/ Hot head!!
  16. Hey mate Eade was far less resourced at the Dogs and Swans. Craig had the world at the crows facilities, players, members, sponsorship. Eade had to battle with all that at both clubs. I'm not against Craig at all but I believe we need a big group of quality coaches who have been there done that!!!
  17. The point is to finish the season we play Brisbane, North Melbourne, GWS, Gold Coast, Fremantle, Adelaide and Bulldogs, aside from getting us playing better footy, he has only 1 win to his name which we just fell over the line in. Now i can only see 1 maybe 2 wins to finish off the year. Even the GWS game could be a real danger game and the dogs at etihad, well we already stink at etihad. In saying that i dont really want to appoint someone that could only get 2 or 3 wins would rather dig deeper for a proven performing like Eade or Williams. Plus Craig had all the rescources at the crows and could not get them to a Grand Final!
  18. Eade would be a fantastic coach with Craig! When Eade was at the Bulldogs he had very minimal resources, in that window of opportunity they were missing a quality forward or 2, by the time Barry Hall got to the dogs his best was well past him so it was 2010 or never for them Akermanis was phased out because of his mouth(, though they should have played him in the finals a dangerous big stage player) and Brad Johnson was struggling with injuries. Not to mention his period at Sydney they are strong teams then, when you get to Grand Finals and Preliminary Finals its really down to the players. Williams would still be a great coach and he is probably just ahead of Eade with his 2004 premiership, but Craig I don't think will get enough runs on the board to seriously be considered for the job, he would just be better off staying at the club in a player development role!!!
  19. Mike Shehan / 3aw tweeted Roos is a 3/10 chance of coaching melbourne next season! Forget him coaching us
  20. To have a high profile coach such as Paul Roos would just be an awesome coupe for our club. We haven't had a high profile coach since Barrasi back in the 1980s, sure Northey was a great coach but to possible have Roos would be exciting! I couldn't care if we had to pay him well over a million a year for 5 years, the long term gain and membership gain could well be huge in a short space of time. If you want classy people you must fork out!
  21. Some people on here need too look at the bigger picture, whilst Neil Craig has done a much better job than Neeld ( that was never going too be hard), we must remember that we as a club are so desperate for a Paul Roos, Rodney Eade, Mark Williams type coach that can sell the club for more potential sponsors and sell the club to members. This season we have had a significant drop off with on 32,000 members. For the last 5 years we have failed to reach our target of 40,000 members. I know on field performances have contributed to this failure but a top coach like a Roos Eade or Williams gives us a good chance of getting to our desired membership target. We are at least the best part of 20,000 members behind Essendon, Richmond, Hawthorn, Carlton ATM. We have to remember this is our moment to get a big name coach which hasn't been done in a while, also remembering under Craig we lost to St Kilda by 35 points, just fell over the line against the dogs after being 45 points up with 10 minutes to go, 6 goal loss to the swans, we play Geelong in Geelong and have games against Freo, Crows in Adelaide, North at Etihad, we may only win 1 maybe 2 more games this season!
